Weird one us buying players
0 -
1 Falkirk
2 Forfar
3 Raith Rovers
4 Airdrie
5 East Fife
6 Peterhead
7 Clyde
8 Montrose
9 Dumbarton
10 Stranraer
May sway my opinion when other signings are announced but I can see Falkirk being far too strong as well as notably good signings so far from a handful of teams i.e. Forfar0 -
Ross Forbes signs for Forfar, feel like we should’ve pushed more for him but again I trust McGlynn has a plan.

Max Anderson, a midfielder with Dundee in talks with a full time contract on the table.
You lot heard it here first,
Any information on him as it seems he’s made an appearance in the challenge cup and nothing after that?
Also not sure if that’s the colt side or first team.0 -
Hopefully get a result against Cove this time round.

Does that include the news that Davo has re-signed?
Let’s hope so1 -
Betfred to be drawn tomorrow, any preferences on our group?0 -
Saw Messi and Ronaldo driving towards Kirkcaldy today, fingers crossed.
Decent boys to be fair, feel like Anderson fits us better though, all out for him!1 -
Heard a few rumours from few Pars fans about El Bahktaoui, was wondering the truth in the matter following our dear friend ShitRaith’s post, he looked dreadful in the game against us at Starks and 1 goal to his name for our rivals up the road this season doesn’t exactly set the heather alight, although he is a proven player in the league.

Re-signing Grant Anderson would paper over some other huge cracks in squad-building.
I'm a shameless nostalgist and I don't care who knows it.
Still celebrating that to this day, what a header Granty!

Good to see that Bowie is tied up as he looked an excellent player for his age when he played last season, also excited to see what Dylan Tait can bring in his position.
Cannot judge McDaid and nor really McGuff but good luck to the boys for the future.
Ryan Stevenson was a player I always wanted to see get more of a shot but a career outside football may be better for him, good luck to him, Euan and James.
Hopefully we can tie up Dave and Jack Smith as I feel a partnership of Dave and Bene would/could/will be great next season and also young Jack can be a good asset moving forward.

Disappointing to see Nisbet leave, a bright spark in a dark season again. Good luck to him and as we say so often can’t stand in the boys way!

I can confirm that
IRoss is out of contract. He's got a decent nightshift job outside football and a young family though - so I'm not sure how into either part-time training in Fife and then a dash to work or a return to full-time football he'd be.
I’d definitely be interested if we could offer a deal to Ross purely because of that absolute screamer at Starks on the coldest day of my life.1 -
Quite excited to see how this hybrid scenario pans out this time round, I’m confident McGlynn will recruit well with his contacts and we will hopefully look a lot stronger than the woeful squad Smith assembled at the start of the year.

Wedderburn, Buchanan and Flanagan away, as per the website.

I would assume the players who have triggered the clause are Lyness, Murray and Nisbet. I like to think that Gillespie will stay another year and have another stab at it, wishful thinking I know. If Nisbet has any sense he will trigger that clause and find himself the best possible club out there, bound to be a few after him after this year.
In terms of players I hope we keep,
Robbie Thomson
Bene
Gillespie
Matthews
Vaughan
Nisbet
I’d like to sign Regan Hendry again and fill the rest in with our young squad and a few PT players going with the hybrid model, all will be revealed after this evening though and I’ll (not so) eagerly wait in anticipation.

On a side note, the fans were brilliant today, and throughout the whole playoffs. Hopefully we can carry that atmosphere into next season.
Couldn’t agree more with this, now that we all know that we can come together and get behind the team why does it not happen more often?
The addition of the young team has been vital in this so therefore credit where credit is due to the boys for getting us off our seats again!0 -
Think the main question is now, both realistically and with a bit of imagination, where do we go from here?

In all honestly, Jamie Barjonas has the privilege to play football for money. With this in mind, the 598 fans in the stand alongside me could play with more heart and desire and would kill for the chance to be there. Disappointing end to the season really but a gallant effort to get this far with this squad.
McGlynn must be backed in the summer whether it is hybrid, full time or part time. This support we’ve had in the playoffs, why can it not be like this every week?
We should ideally be challenging again next season but will Falkirk be too much?
The backing off the fans and the boardroom is vital for next season to stop us from slipping even further away from where we want to be.

Do we know if the club will run buses again for Saturdays away tie or is that out the window after the brick incident, with no pun intended.

After a while of thinking about the game today it’s taken me to this point in the season to come to the conclusion we’ll get papped out in the playoffs again

In terms of McGlynn, he’ll be given the summer to pull something together, what that’ll look like, I’ve no clue. It’d be a huge disappointment to lose Murray as he’s been solid and showed a sliver of loyalty to the club last year. If these clauses are in contracts, would it be all who have signed? I was under the impression that Gillespie had one from the start of the season but unsure on Vaughan, Nisbet etc

This is why the hybrid system needs to happen. We’re already paying for perma crocks in Vaughan and Duggan, now Thomson. What’s Neil Parry doing at the end of the Season?
Neil Parry would be a quality addition, one of the best keepers I’ve seen in the lower leagues.0 -
With us being confined to the playoffs for another year all but confirmed and the bottom three of the championship chopping and changing, hoping we get past Forfar who would we most like to see in the playoff final?

That’s it officially confirmed as MacDonald. Never noticed him as a stand out for Airdrie when I’ve seen them, anyone know anymore?
