It’s got nothing to do with professionalism or players attitudes. We have a squad of 20 players 5 of them are away on holiday as most teams will have players away. unfortunately since training on Sat and tonight we have picked up another 4 injuries so leaves us very short. Our aim is to ensure we have a fully fit squad for the start of the season risking people at this stage if the season would be madness.

Judge my players attitudes and professionalism at the end of the season them make an informed judgement. But I can assure we are up there with the most professionally run junior teams in the country, it’s just circumstances that have lead to the decision taken by the management team.

You can't even fulfill your first pre season friendly fixture, people will judge you on that, like it or not mr junior football spokesman.

He had words with Johnny about getting subbed and this led to his departure so there actually was a fallout but who fell out with who that is the question [emoji16.png

SHOULD I stay or should I go is most likely a question that will be running around Beith striker Ross "Archie" McPherson’s head as he goes to training tonight.

The 29-year-old hitman was left stunned earlier this week when told he was being transfer-listed by the Ayrshire club – reputedly as punishment for voicing his displeasure at being substituted by gaffer Johnny Millar during last weekend’s Scottish Junior Cup exit to Lochee United

That one was resolved and the parties made up......... Try and get things correct.... For once...

I absolutely agree with you about wages bed bug bear of mine but doesn't matter if one team not paying it another will and that the way of the world from darvel to the very top of the money chain at man city.

You agree with it but It doesn't matter?

First off all hertha I'm not having a go at beith here because the people that run the club are very pleasant. But my question to you is where were beith as a team and ground surroundings before John boal came on board and where will they be once he is no longer on board ? Ps as I said not having a go at beith  or the good people that run the club. Just like the buffs before Alan mccluckie came to the buffs we were up and down and got the nick name the yo yo,s when he left we then we're up and down from the adl. So to darvel they now have a bit of fortune through a local man who wants to put his wealth into his local team and improve darvel as a team and get the community behind the club just like John boal ,Alan mccluckie and William hyslop at hurlford has done. Yes your right when these guys move on the team does take a hard blow but you look back on all the good times that happened in that era buffs and beith winning the Scottish for example so darvel may or may not experience the same as our club's have been through you never know? Finally yeah the darvel fans are on here shouting from the roof tops about their team and it does annoy a lot of people but they have had nothing to talk about down that way since the 70s when darvel were a decent team before the great talbot teams were formed.

I saw Beith win 12 trophies before the guy you mentioned was involved  and I'm sure we will be in safe hands when the time comes for pastures new.

Nobody is bigger than the club, regardless of how great recent times have been, Beith keep a sustainable model and I would rather that than spunking hundreds and hundreds per week to money grabbing players.

  7. Darvel we are bertie big baws with the super dooper dressing rooms while away clubs can get changed in an old banger.

A kiddy on big club who are setting a big target for themselves whilst the money grabbing players are simply  lining their pockets.

Its only going to end one way.......... And its never good......

Longworth,Anderson,Gray,Erskine,Mullen,Roberts,McLaren,Hughes have all stepped up to the seniors in recent years.Ladeside have proved a very good stepping stone for players getting the chance to have a go at the Senior game.

Maybe detriment to ourselves of the chance to build a solid team by not standing in a players way

Totally agree with that regarding ladeside and it's spot on.

Beith to my knowledge have never stepped in any players way who wanted to go senior and loads of our guys from the West winning season of 2008/2009 until the most recent West win of 2018/2019 could easily have stepped up and played senior, lots was due to circumstancial reasons with jobs etc and also personal reasons with travel and family /personal reasons to remain junior.

Its definitely been to our advantage with these guys remaining junior.

Told Beith where to go a few times though

Didn't stop us winning the West x 2, the Scottish, super Premier x2, evening times cup and Ayrshire Cup whilst Liam was still kicking the junior ball.

Liams brand new and anderson and Longworth were crackers but they only won one major trophy of note in the juniors in the West once, give Me a Martin mcgarvey, a sniffer, an Andy Reid or Kenny McLean any day over anyone of ladeside in that era🥶😕🤤

You seem desperate to prove this to be false but given the person involved has given a full apology for his social media posts relating to sectarian and homophobic comments it begs the question
" What is your agenda here and why you trying to disprove something which the person involved in has apologised "
And you know fine well the social media by the person involved were deleted but had been saw by both the footballing authorities and the SMG so let's stop the pish and tell us your agenda

You really are a sad individual, desperate to be offended and showing  your real team again.

Why as a so-called St rochs fan are you so flustered with non junior politics and views??

I don’t know anything about any bigoted comments or anything similar, but, I saw him referee a few Cumnock games and he wasn’t shy about talking back to the players and he is really in a no win position there
One game in particular against Petershill when a Peasy player dived like a block of flats going down and he told him to get up or I’ll book you if you try that s***e again

However, I think that your liking for him is probably more to do with his family connection to one if your Beith players of the recent times !!!!!!??????

This became obvious a couple of seasons ago when Cumnock played at Beith and he sent off Scott Anson for fouling a Beith player after a Cumnock move broke down at the top goal and the ball was passed out to a Beith player, who was nudged over by Big Scott , obviously to slow the play down and Brown sent him off for what was nothing more than a booking as the Beith player was around 80yards away from our goal .
That was bad enough but he proceeded to sent off another Cumnock player who turned away from a soft free kick and muttered as he walked away and Brown sent him off for foul language, even though literally 30 seconds before a Beith player went right up to him and told him that an incident that just happened was a “f***ing foul”. Not even a talking to

    The original homer !!!!

Trust me I've saw him giving his family member a good few verbal roastings and maybe even more so than to any other player.

Brown is /was old school and I liked hearing him giving pelters back, if people can dish it out then they should be okay to take a wee bit back.

The juniors is a poorer place for me without brown...............

Just because football can't function without them doesn't mean that we should accept behaviour from referees that we wouldn't tolerate from others.

And is it correct that guys like Stephen brown should be subjected to getting slaughtered for 90 minutes? If you think so then you should take a long hard look at yourself.

  13. The sjfa hierarchy  are paid members and very well paid within their roles, it shouldn't be up to volunteers (unless they're maybe getting a few nice wee perks too) to do this.

Just do your job guys and the job you're paid to do  which entails coming into the modern world via social media......
