Thats our contracted squad for next season I'm sure, 19 contracted players. Theres little room for anyone to manoeuvre next season without them, somehow, getting some of those off the books. How many of them have proven they're actually up to it aswell, 4? 5?

want to pop over the road and sign young Dolzanski from Jeanfield he,s a standout every time I visit the Riverside

Yes, not going to read anything into that result. I have seen it many times over the years with Talbot where a fixture backlog means a cup or two has to be sacrificed

no sacrifice mate. I was there, it was a fantastic game and both teams gave it their ALL..

Surprised you would say this to be honest, perhaps your support of Lochee is colouring you viewpoint just a little?

As has been mentioned in at least one previous observation, not all he said was wrong but the sheer, seething bitterness of just about everything he spoke of was awful. From this podcast appearance you can safely assume that there will continue to be little in the way of positive engagement with the Pyramid on his part and that will continue to be detrimental to his club and to the rest of the Tayside teams.

he was aperfect example of what Breadalbane and other progressive teams in Tayside are up against.

For Dev's benefit, Breadalbane from Aberfeldy wanted into the east region juniors at one point (got knocked back over concerns about being too close to a golf course) and there have been posts about them wanting to pursue licensing and the pyramid. The guy who was posting about it on here preferred the EoS/LL over the HL.

I.ve come back on to clarify Breadalbane,s position. Breadalbane founded in 1880 were a senior club, as were the Vale of Atholl up until 1960 when their membership of the SFA was terminated due to the grounds not being enclosed. This led to the collapse of the PFA and application was made to the Perthshire Junior F.A but their application was refused as it was deemed too far to travel from Perth and the clubs were forced into thePAFA. Ironically 7 years later the PJFA collapsed and the remaining teams joined the ERSJFA. However the junior candle has always burned in Breadalbane circles and 9/10 years ago after winning the North of Tay cup with Gavin Price as manager Breadalbane asked the SJFA for a ground inspection in relation to a possible membership application. John Reilly and the Fauldhouse president (can,t remember his name) duly arrived and it was pretty evident from the initial conversation that they were there to blow holes in any potential application, their problem was they couldn,t find any so they latched on to being next to the golf course and the travelling time to Fauldhouse as pointers as to why they wouldn,t support an application from Breadalbane. From there Breadalbane contacted the SFA for advice and they sent out their head ground invigilator (cammy watt) who quite simply shook his head at the junior stance, a full health and safety report has been drawn up to support any application and the club were advised to apply for legacy status (successful) and he advised that any future ground works should be done to entry level standard making any future objections null and void. Breadalbane,s facilities are not an issue, neither the SJFA nor EOSFL would find fault and I would say we are further down the licensing line than most, the club has a good youthful hard working committee, I think the next project they are taking on is a floodlight upgrade to 300 lux, they have ambitions and why should the system hold them back because of a misunderstanding of geography.

For me it’s the only way to save the death of this level of grassroots football. Folk going on holidays isn’t the issue these days. It’s not a shock the 35s is booming. Unless the safa take action over the next year or two then in 5 years there won’t be many teams/leagues left.

summer football is long overdue at our level but the only way is for the clubs to take action themselves through their own leagues. nobody will do it for us but ourselves.

They would start at the bottom of whatever league they joined I would think.

And I don't think many amateur teams would want to be junior and vice versa.

you,ll be surprised at the answer

Amateur teams playing against teams who pay their players.

    Couldn't happen☺

you wouldn,t be an amateur team you would be a junior team and most of the junior teams that are going to be left are basically amateur teams anyway. what would you do if the junior teams left apply to join the amateurs?

  8. 9 minutes ago, Chris Brown said:

Let’s be realistic whilst it would wet the appetite there’s no chance this is gonna happen.

any amateur team with appropriate facilities can apply to join the pyramid. however the elite teams left should consider joining the juniors that are left. the junior fa would have to relax there ground rules a bit but I don't see a problem if they want to continue as a grade.

I'll reiterate my main point. As things stand there is nothing in the Club 42 rule about villages being cut in half. It is all about the registered ground and the exact line of latitude. If north HL, if south LL. Luncarty's ground is north but I think there are other playing fields in the village that are south.

It's interesting that some of the people who are most adamant about Fauldhouse are willing to be flexible on Luncarty. I hope common sense prevails on Luncarty and people don't get hung about boundaries elsewhere because they want to make sure  certain clubs have to start at tier 8 rather than tier 6.

if this ground is north this line isn't drawn from the tay bridge from what I can see

They are an unusual case, therefore they can be treated as an exception

The line cuts the village in half, and came long after they built the ground in the village.   Can you not understand why this is different from clubs who are 1, 5 or 10 miles from the line?

Either way, as you say, it's not upto us to decide thankfully, it's the leagues involved.

I,m sitting at luncartys ground right now. if this line cuts the village in half then brownlands park is south of it and the river tay.

So? Part of the problem, so if there are two or three issues then even more reason to put pressure on those,  in order to reduce chances of matches being cancelled.

how many home games have your club postponed ?

Not our trees. They belong to the golf course. We have asked numerous times with no joy from council

Time to put in an application then to get the trees cut back!

Fifth time this season that a home league match has been postponed.

    not all due to frost

Bollocks. Dont know where the, "running round cones..." comes from. Loads of Coaches who have played football at differing levels involved in Youth Football predominantly through their kids. If youre suggesting you can only coach if youve been professional then you would have even less teams. There might be a variety of reasons for the problems but to lump it all on the guys who give up hours of their own time and money to Coach kids is nonsense.

you got it in one and are obviously one of the brainwashed who put coaching before playing. let the kids play and dump the confetti coaching badges. look outside your bubble football is dying all around you because of a failed system introduced by a dutch man who got the boot from morocco for peddling the same drivel as he sold here to a gullible market. let kids play and coach in the background without blowing the I,ve got a coaching badge trumpet.

  15. amateur football will continue to decline as long as the disastrous youth system introduced by mark wotte continues to be followed by inept brainwashed coaches who never played football. you, ll note he got out before the shit hit the pan. kids aren,t being brought into football properly nowadays at grass roots level, coaching consists of running round cones, no one teaches the basics, they don't get taught the rules and as they go further down the system they become disillusioned and disinterested and think its their fault they can,t play the game. the whole coaching system in this country needs ripped up and instead of running round cones would it not be better to let kids play the game and learn from whats left of football knowhow. if somebody doesn,t change the system we,re doomed and it will be more than amateur football that will die.

Absolute nonsense, your number 3 cleaned him out right in front of the dugout and proceeded to follow through with a kick after so No10 obviously reacted. Tens mins after that number 3 had his elbow up and cleaned out Number 11..... that should have been a second book able offence. In fact he should have went for the first kick out. Their goalkeeper (who was dodgey BTW) also had a kick out off the ball at one of the Jeanfield boys while their manager was comical going off his head at the side with his sqeeky voice.

You were given a lesson from Jeanfield from start to finish so just take it and move on.

broxburn were outclassed by a far superior team. I wouldn,t enjoy a pie either after that display. my pie was delicious

A lot of ill informed statements on here.
So many 'facts' being stated it's quite obvious the posters have not looked into the matter properly

the posters know their stuff o.k.  the sac programmes and figures don't take into account the regional preliminary rounds which by the state of play at present are not going to be needed next year. the hard fact is youth football is not feeding the amateur leagues and in turn the amateur leagues are not feeding  the junior leagues and the junior leagues are not feeding the senior leagues and the senior leagues are not feeding the national team.  this thread  was started by someone who obviously knows the present game is in dire straits as do I. if you read the posts from the beginning you,ll understand the root cause, la la land, I never played football but I,m a coach because the sfa gave me a badge for turning up at a coaching course for an hour, and oh I,ve never been to a game of football but I get a tracksuit top with coach emblazoned on it. this thread should be the busiest on p/b because if someone doesn,t come up with a change of system and mentality football is goosed in this country if it isn,t already.  just in case you don't know the directive presently going the rounds is it doesn't matter if you don't score a goal but if you do don't celebrate scoring its demeaning to the opposition. try telling that to Cyprus in june when they come calling, but of course they wont have any coaching badges but they,ll want to win the game by sticking the ball in the back of the onion bag.
