    Saturday 21st August 2021
    Coldstream 2-2 Arniston Rangers
    Craigroyston 0-6 Kirkcaldy & Dysart
    Dalkeith Thistle 2-1 Thornton Hibs
    Edinburgh United 4-0 Ormiston
Haddington Athletic 4-0 Kennoway Star Hearts
    Rosyth 1-5 Dunipace
St Andrews United 1-2 Tweedmouth Rangers

Haddington won the star attraction convincingly to move within 2pts of top. Kirkcaldy and Dunipace also won heavily.

Arniston got more points. Tweedmouth landed their opening win in style.

Do you think this is the start of an Arniston turn around after a hard start of the season, picked up points in the last 3 games and possibly 2 more games where they’ll be looking to pick up more points.

phildos dalkeith team have had a preseason fae hell, few pumpins

No seen them put any scores up on Twitter, do you know what the scores have been?

  3. In relation for LEAFA would they look at merging with Stirling and district league or would it be the borders league?

I know they’d probably prefer stirling and district league but all hypothetical unless anything actually does change.

Both Lewis and Kenny unable to commit to the select, happy playing Sundays.

It’s not for everybody, some fancy it , some don’t, work etc The squad i first write down usually changes by 7/8.

What’s you’re squad for tonight’s match? Just haven’t seen much about the select team in a while mate.

Read all my previous posts above. Long term survival is far more important for Craigroyston instead of giving Mr Dinse the platform to put himself in the shop window then ultimately leave in a year or two if he succeeds or fails.

Maybe I’ve chose the wrong thread to voice my concerns so I won’t discuss it any further and it’s fair to say the amateur guys on here don’t want to read about EOS.

If people wanted to read about EoS then they would go to they forums unlike somebody who’s infatuated about ammies but never played before.

Pre season?! Don’t even merit a response!

Why bother replying then  🤨face it EoS standard is rotten, the better amateur teams would probably beat them in an one off game

    Prove what at amateur?

How have I not kicked a ball either? I have played in the East of Scotland league.

Also, you do know most of the boys in my team have played EoS, Juniors, Lowland and a couple have SPL appearances under their belts? I would also be willing to bet a lot of money that the top amateur teams in LEAFA would more than hold their own in the A and B conference divisions and certainly not be disgraced.

Anyway, as I said above nothing has been agreed or spoken about at any great depth so there’s nothing really to speak about for now.

Agree with that watched a few pre season games start of the season with leafa teams against lowland and EoS sides and the leafa teams held there own, maybe last 15mins when games opened up was when the leafa sides looked out there depth.

  8. Seen Lothian Vale against Tollcross the day and Lothian out played Tollcross for much of the game, last 20mins Tollcross dominated without making any real clear chances. Lothian looking good going into the new year

Shortlees won 4-2 were never troubled in open play but playing a big side and scored from 2 set pieces knapp with 2 great goals

Heard one of the Scotland coaches went to watch the shortlees boys and ended up liking the look of one of the Lothian vale players. Must’ve been a good game to watch heard it was a decent battle

Does it even matter now Lads? Neither Pennies or CP exist or play in LEAFA so it’s a point less chat.

Onto LEAFA business now... a few cracking trips for our teams I. The Scottish draw today.

Cracking tie for phildo and the Lothian boys going away to Shortlees and hopefully pulling off what would be the result of the round id imagine but that’s just my own opinion.

We held the trial game and a friendly there as it’s the only pitch we could get.

Same this time round it’s the only park we can get for now but I’m hopeful I have something sorted for next month.

I’d like to have a trial game first to look at players before we play friendlies.

So I take it they’ll be no squad for the trial matches confirmed until you can source a park then mate?

Scottish cup weekend - what are the big games? Think it is wide open this year. I think Fallin v Danderhall should be a cracker.

Maybe in pervious years mate but Danderhall lost a lot of players and have been getting turned over in the league, would like it to be a close game but think Fallin could win by at least 5

The players dalkieth are giving us to replace the 2 going the other way should be good enough quality to see us challenge for the league this season . Can't stop boys moving on and we have wished them all the best 👍

Who is it that has left to join dalkeith and who’s the replacements that are join yous?

  14. 7 minutes ago, Phildo said:

I would take some of them but none are available so no point going on about it

Do your team need any of them though mate, seen yous against dalkeith and Lothian Thistle in pre season and yous competed with them, albeit Thistle dominated last 20 minutes with there subs.

  15. Until the season starts nobody knows how the boys from the west will get on, might not have the best players but amazing what team spirit can do for you, especially since some of the big names in the league find it easy to fall out with themselves when things aren’t going they’re way

The lad Connor is a great player, never gives the defence a seconds rest, kiddo - say what you like about him but every game I seen he strolled it, be it at the back or in the middle

both players would be a huge loss to any team

Agree with Connor but I’ve watched sandys a few times this season and kiddo at centre half has been torture, for the size of him he can’t get off the ground to win a header

Yous refused to play? Why did yous not book the jewel the day the original game was called off cos that was free that day? Danderhall offered to get changed outside , declined.

Danderhall offered to play the game at danderhall , declined.

Yous never had a team that day, we know it you know it and the association know it.

Why should danderhall roll over and play the game at castle view when There was no certificate presented to show the asbestos was fixed ? Danderhall as a club stood together and fought back, and have been punished .

Leafa as an association r a total embarrassment .

Seems like the association has made a rod for there own back now, any teams that are struggling to fulfil fixtures can now cry a health and safety reasoning for postponement without any checks being physically checked on the said area.

Clear to see that leafa are losing touch with there members, also seem intimated to take action against the so called better teams.

Easy win for Sandies tonight Vs Tranent.

Sure I read this from you last week saying easy win for salvy against Tranent :whistle

Craigshill v Sandys abandoned due bother between a home fan and Sandys players,  apparently with Craigshill 1-0 up and missed a pen.

Was it abandoned towards the end of the game? What happens in regards to the result is it replayed with minutes left remaining on the clock when abandoned or replay the full 90minutes again?
