Your 100% correct on that tug if you cut joe his blood would be blue and white and Andy has been there 50 years hard to let hat go. I would still be there but health issues forced me to give it up I really hope it works for them

A helleva lot of people ive spoken to are of the opinion that the committee are to.blame as well as they stood back and let mick install his win at all costs model...(can deny players were not paid till the cows come home but we all know the truth) they knew what was going on but allowed it to happen. Ive got to agree.

Now it may be the end of the club.

So when you are calling the players a disgrace remember and call you and your committee pals a disgrace as well.

I know Heepsy who is in at CP with Rab. I asked him yesterday if Rab had stepped away and he said no.

Maybe he didnt want to tell you the truth.

But Rob has def stepped down as manager but will still coach.

    Strange.

  3. I am hearing Rob Paterson has stepped down.

When you pay players for such a long time them.its going to be hard to keep those players with no pay. Current and ex Committee members got to look at themselves as well..they allowed this to happen for years and years and it will almost certainly be the end of the club.

Was always an impossible position for whoever took over.

    Win at all costs.........

Yeh he going mate, this has nothing to do with Darvel or Colville. I’m not responsible for individuals life’s as I’m sure your not either.

    Fair enough mick.

Ha I can assure I had control over my players , anyone who has played for me will tell you about how strict the environment was you think we could have that consistency without the players respecting me. The truth is Kenny no longer plays for Colville and I no longer manage Colville so it’s nothing to do with me or Colville.

As I said I have spoken to John

Is he signing for Darvel mate and you are the new.manager there?  Or is he not going? Word is he is going.

    Spot on m8.

Alot of banter over the course of a season between teams and it sometimes goes too far but end of day there is a mutual respect within the amateur game and aslong as hands can be shook and people move on then there should be no hardships.

Mick & Colville will move onto different pathways and next season is sure to be very interesting.

How will Colville's rebuild under the new manager take shape?

Can St Pats/Bannockburn or Eastfield stop the Colville domination of league titles.

What of Harestanes, can they get back to the great force they once were?

Drum Utd back in the top league and sure to be a force again after a great season along with Fallin, Uddy Anvil who will bring something to the league also.

Campsie under new management, Drum Ams, Greenock & Wishaw all capable on there day.

2 majors from CSAFL this season will we get a repeat again next year in the big 1s?

    Looking forward to it!!!

Yes will be a cracker. Oban saints joining as well.

I have spoken to John privately about the situation.

Well said. Maybe the vile players could do with a word in private as well.

Don’t think there was any malicious intent just boys pished and havin a wee dig after a great league battle wee John is known to have the odd wee dig on twitter as well

No malicious intent did you read the headline of the tweet? Then it goes on to sing about someone dying. Yip nothing malicious tho.

An embarassment to the club. No excuses

Well yesterday was the day of my amateur career, I just want to say thank you to everyone for the memories.

I will miss it more than I imagined, it’s been a pleasure met so many great players, managers and committee men over the years, some are now friends for life. I’ve been very fortunate to have had success but my admiration for all people connected with amateur football is impossible to quantify, the amount of hard work dedication that goes into running clubs is at times forgotten.

I've been fortunate to have played for to great Clubs Drum Utd and Colville, lead by 2 great managers John Black and Gerry Hamilton, I still call them gaffer to this day. Men that have helped shape me as the manager Iam today, I’m proud to say I played for both of them.

I wish everyone all the best going forward, even the ones that gave me a bit of stick. Amateur football stronger when it’s united, we will need that togetherness in the future years as amateur football moves forward

If I have ever upset anyone I apologise, I only ever wanted to win. Take care and thank you for everything.

I think one last thing would be a decent thing to do was for some of your lads to give auld john down at dumbarton a call. If they are not man enough im sure you will be.

But i will finish on a positive note.

Well said and all the best. Cant be easy moving on and leaving a big club.

  10. Yes Colville are without doubt the best amateur team we have seen.

Got to say though disappointed with the behaviour last night of the players on social media and in particular a song directed at one of the games good auld guys. Very poor.

I think the timing for mick and the guys to go is about right, past excellent standards are being really lowered now.

Wishing you well at Darvel mick. Enjoy this weeks celebrations.

Eastfield will down tools today..Absolute FACT! stpatz will murder them!  The WEASEL might show up this week!

No 1 wants CP winning league! Its a carve up!

Colville will beat the Burn aswell.

    Goodluck chaps

Predict a draw in both games.

Great ending to the best League. Im sure the CSAFL committee will be delighted how their season has panned out.

Its a shame Eastfield aren't still up challenging as they will have the luxury of resting boys making a stpats win inevitable, therefore killing Bannockburn's hopes of the title.. Colville must win and hope for a favour of Bannockburn next week.

Nice little battle up the high park tomorrow also as Campsie fight for survival, they seem to have the knack (or luck) for getting just enough to stay up.

After beating colville midweek eastfield will be looking to carry that form on ahead of scottish final. Imo huge ask for st.pats to goto eastfield and bannockburn and get a result.

Great ending to the best amateur league in scotland. Good luck to all clubs involved.

  13. 9 hours ago, Redondo said:

Ahh well , well done to Eastfield, great result.

Game was very scrappy pitch looked poor. Colville had lot of ball but didnt really create much in way of clear chances.

Eastfield really grew 2nd half and deserved win after a clear penalty,  they missed two sitters as well so couldve been more.

Makes it interesting for scottish final.

Colville way off boil on the night.

Game too big for the ref! Had nightmare and that's being polite. First goal not even close to being onside

Game was a bit of a let down but granted a lot at stake for both clubs. Thought st.patricks would be happy with a draw before ko but cant be tonight after both colville park goals were very dubious. The first was so far offside it was frightening maybe 5 yards and suspect pen...but that's fitba and ref had no linos.

Bit of handbags at end and in dressing room area i hear but again lot at stake.

Wish both clubs and bannockburn well for the run in.

Any insight for us who don't have a crystal ball?

As usual the neds of colville mouthing off on twitter. Said it before. They are out of control and the club or central league do nothing about it.

Wonder how the sfja will deal with the likes of kennedy,  miller and co next season.

Colville will win the fosters league this year. I dont think winning the best amateur league in scotland is underachieving.

Took in st pats v harestanes today and don’t see what all the hype is over st pats very poor first half from both teams took till the 40th minute before any decent effort was produced on goal.second half and harestanes took the lead  and then added a second soon after should have had a stone wall penalty to add a third . St pats took off the two boys up front and went for the Ariel route to no avail just bullied out the game by a workman like harestanes team who left with a well deserved 3 points has the st pats bubble burst after the early season promise time will tell

I also took in this game and Harestanes were well worthy of the 3 points. Apart from a scramble in the box at the end of 1st half..st pats had no real chances and Harestanes defence were not really troubled. I think they play again in the West soon and reckon Harestanes will win that.

Good to see Harestanes getting back towards the team they were before. They could take.more points.from title challengers.

From what I have seen on Twitter one of the st pats boys made a comment about a colville player who responded back. nothing much in it and if you are prepared to give a bit out on social media then need to take a bit back. Difficult for club's managers and commitee to control what players are posting on social media...I am sure they would rather the players didn't do it but other than having a word with them not alot else they can do

This isnt just about the weekend..been going on for months. The manager of ANY club should be able to act if the behaviour of players on social media is damaging the reputation of the club.

Time everyone got back to playing what they do best..play football.

Mick has already commented its in his plans to speak to players. Obviously he is offering some sort of guidance for a reason.

Cheers mate. Rise above it, CP always have done their talking on the park.

I'm sure you will this season again.
