  1. Its definitely far too early to be saying Elgin are in a false position. Its just one of those games where nothing seemed to get them out of first gear, which happens. If they'd punished the Albion defence for those dodgy moments in the first half its a different game, but they didn't. Albion then got on the ascendancy and finished the game.

I'd say to fellow City supporters (and others) not to give Telford Street Troller the time of day by replying to his attempts at winding us up. He obviously gets his rocks off on it. Most of his comments have been about Elgin.

Very much agree with this. We'll have to wait another 6 months for a reply anyway.

Apparently McHale was training with ICTFC at the beginning of the season and was not rated at all by the coaches. Infact I think it was remarked that he would be hard pushed to dislodge our 4th choice keeper. Anyway that season is a distant memory heres to pipping Hearts to automatic promotion.

😂 You wrote this basically saying you're  "In the know" with coaches at professional clubs and next minute calling yourself unqualified, so which is it? The two comments you wrote were slating 2 young goalkeepers (it's not only me that's noticed). I do defend goalkeepers because I was one back in the day and feel players in that position get unfairly criticised alot of the time and can also tell you that I've been around Scottish football long enough (don't have the time as much now days) and know for a fact that the remark made about "hard pushed dislodging 4th choice" is absolute nonsense 😂 But yes, I also wish Inverness and Hearts the best of luck.

Sitting watching this the result will be a bit flattering for QP if I'm honest. Draw would be a fair result.

    eh?

There's no "eh" about it. The same comment would've been made if the score was the reverse. On the balance of play and chances no one would've been that surprised if the game was drawn. Its an interesting watch league two as there's some very good footballing teams including the two that played today in tough conditions (which I thought both teams handled well).

Outstanding is some and not so in most. I have watched a host of highlights now and can say yes he makes some good bread and butter saves. He also  makes some saves look good with poor positioning. I suppose he is alright for a mid table league two team. 3

Which highlights were you watching? I've watched exactly the same highlights because I only manage to get to games now and again and he's looked very solid in all aspects. It's also strange how you've slated Ross Munro at Raith aswell who might I add is another good keeper and they're both having good seasons 🤔

The twice I've seen McHale this season - you probably would have been better off playing the boy Hoban - great young prospect. You'd be in the play-offs positions definitely.

😂 Clearly someone who doesn't watch football enough. You can't base an opinion off of 2 games. If you did that, no team would have any players. McHale, Bronsky, Sutherland and Hester have been the glue of the team this year in my opinion. That's in no way a disrespect to any of the other players in the squad, as they've also played a huge part. As much as yesterday was a bad defeat there is still so much football to be played. Win a few games and all of a sudden the push is on.

Better team won, but Elgin had a few chances and despite the first goal, McHale had a good game. The makeshift defence, esp after Spark went off, did well. Shane seemed to try and take on the whole Cove team by himself at times.

On a different note, what a souless little ground, in the middle of an industrial estate, no ladies' toilets in the away end (there were two port a loos admittedly), non existent PA system in the way end (still waiting to hear who won the 50/50 draw).

They were a better team in the sense they knocked it around well but I thought Elgin were more than a match for them second half. Not taking anything away from them though as at the end of the day they were more clinical but also as you said McHale made some big saves and the defence did very well with the changes before the game and when spark went off. It would've been interesting to see how the game would've played out if Sutherland had taken the chance early on 🤔

  8. I thought Cove were quite fortunate to win that 2-0 yesterday. First game I've managed to get to in a while but I thought a draw would've been a fair result. Very few clear cut chances created, but the ones that were created I thought Sutherlands was the most clear cut. The Elgin keeper had to make a few good saves 2nd half and I thought McKay and Omar put in very good shifts about the pitch. Bit of a blow losing Spark so early on aswell. Overall I think both teams were as good as each other. On another day it could've went the other way.
