  1. Shocking from front to back, 1st thing any new manager does after coming in is shore up the defence, mcgeachy never a right wing back centre half at best, a captain leads, no evidence where he's concerned, been leaking goals for weeks,  post above saying happy to have mcniff back the guys done took Leo off who was probably the only highlight, Carrick isolated for ghe fill game without any support, flannie and scally nothing in attacking half, all good doing flashy touches in your own half produces nothing, some boys continually given a Jersey despite week in week out poor performances, crainey what he brings to the team even the fans in stand dont know, any hope is young brings in his own staff and freshens everything up or could be an extremely harsh lessen at ibrox in 2 weeks time.

Well another defeat today that’s the 6th straight defeat in a row for us, down to 6th spot in League.

As for the game itself we started well got in front after 7 mins from Josh Scally but as usual we can’t defend and allowed Annan back into the game when they scored twice before half time.
second half we did nothing and it did not help to go down to 10 men when Jack Leitch was sent off. Then to make matters worse Annan scored again to make it 3-1. We got a second goal at the death but it was too late.
Let’s hope whoever takes over can turn this team around fast otherwise it’s another wasted season ahead,

Not sure where to start with this but playing the same team and system after a run of defeats makes no sense, players visibly low on confidence, Also when reduced too 10 men no change in system despite the distinct lack of shape after losing 2 goals of similar nature, only personal changed, Elgin always provide a stern test despite there poor early season form no better chance for creaney and orr to ruffle a few feathers before the new gaffer arrives

I wouldn’t class Gordon Moffat (who has managed at least 2 clubs), Mark Roberts (who I wouldn’t touch anyway) or Stevie Aitken as rookie managers, in fact Aitken is far from a rookie, he has successfully managed a part time side in the Championship.

    All about opinions

  4. There are a lot of decent players at the club although not many utilised to where they should be, Good experience and youth, there are also a number of good young managers out there Gordon Moffat, clydebank, Mark Roberts ex queens park,  Stevie Aitken EK /Dumbarton not sure where the no rookie managers comes from, these guys are always hungry for success, agree experience may stop a slide but push the club on don't think so, needs to be a shrewd appointment,

Echo previous comments by Albion fans, Kelty won at a canter, we simply were not at the races today and for a team who have aspirations of getting out of this f##king league thats shocking. Our home form in the League has been awful and today it was much the same. Let’s hope for a better performance next week at Annan. Who by the way won at Stranraer.

Wrong team wrong tactics, played into keltys hands, no balance in the team, one dimension attacking kick it long hope bikey gets onto it, bring back the teams that pressed cove and inverness,

Good side. How did Bell play? Was expecting Joffrey to play to give him some game time. Good to see the players have still got a good attitude even if not starting or being included. McGrory Grant and Moore 3 younger players who must a chance of being offered a new deal for next season. Good work out for Jamieson and Little.

Bell did well, also plenty of instruction and good coaching from him to the younger players which they took on board, i believe Joffrey has been in France for 4 days seeing family and is returning Thursday, good workout for them all with good minutes in the legs, moving into the business end of the season

Was hoping to get through but kept late at work. What was the team last night. Who played well?

    Starting XI
Bell, J Grant, McDonald, Jamieson, Little, McGrory, Whitmore, Main, Moore, Rodger, Lleshi

    Subs
McQuade, Robinson, Ebbs, McFarlane, Biggar, Heraghty

Standouts would say McGrory, Moore, Grant (when moved to midfield) 2 sloppy goals tbh and shoud have been prevented, little and Jamieson coped very well with Souda and Menga really good test for the team, interesting to see what info Ellis and Quinn relay to Ray for Saturday with Slater suspended

At the moment it might have to be King.

Playoffs could be a bit of the what if we had done it earlier, current system is designed to not lose goals and protect the back four, we have an obvious shot at the playoffs which wasnt seen a number of months ago, do we continue and hope that the midfield runners start chipping in with goals while slipping points behind cowdenbeath and Elgin who seem to be the main threats to any playoff opportunity

Strong Reserve side playing Livingston tonight.

2 nil to Livingston however doesn't tell story of the game, against a very experienced premier league side, lost 2 early goals in the 1st half as Livi controlled most of the first half, Queens played some excellent football in the 2nd half and took the game to there premier opponents, few players pushing for inclusion in the matchday squad in the forthcoming weeks

Totally agree with this post. We did not learn our lessons again after Brechin game. Stenny sat in and the longer they were in the game they grew into it. Again same comments from me regarding King and Slater. King is not an upgrade in the midfielders we have in our squad. He does not have. A battle in him. Slater was easily bullied yesterday and stupidly got himself sent off. The manager has Been  in this division before he should know you have to change things up for different games. The 2nd half was lump ball and chase for me. The first 25 mins we kept it on the deck. 2 draws against Stenny and Brechin could seriously have damaged our play off chances. I still can't understand not bringing in another forward to assist and change things up.

To little to late yesterday Moore sitting on bench with little time to make an impact and even at the was only a straight like for like swap no system change,  4 points dropped against 2 of leagues bottom sides, all good playing 1 up front and being tight at the back, leaves sal very much isolated on his own chasing his own flick ons,

Great three points with a bit of everything. Some decent stuff, a good goal, some huge chances missed and a couple of big let offs. Late Wullie Muir saves have probably gained us five points in the last four games.

Slater's cameo was real instant impact stuff and the rest of the new guys did well. No the typical flair performance, but I thought David Galt put in a helluva shift and set up the goal as well. Sal was putting himself about and could have had a couple on another day as well. Looked solid enough at the back as well, albeit ended up camped in a bit as tends to happen defending a narrow lead.

Ten points from the opening four games is an outstanding return. I expect bumps in the road along the way, but we can get better. Really, really pleased with that, today.

Great start under McKinnon and Ellis, new signings will improve and also help existing players improve, slaters cameo and control showed type of football the team will be playing, not sure McLean for mom maybe should have been Muir, Jamieson or Grant held team together in last 10, moore and joffrey failed late fitness tests,

As has been said, Billy Stark and Super Gus got their careers back on track at the Queen's. Hopefully, the new man is looking to do the same and is in it for the long term, or at least as long as "the long term" is in football management.

I'm heartened by the appointment and look forward to the new man getting us up the table.

Got to be given a chance like any other new incoming manager, some managers/players fit certain clubs, has to given a chance

Some cheery news guys and dolls...Strollers win again, 2-1 against Airdrie. Look at that home record. Enjoy the winter break lads...

Reserves won 2.1 v Airdrie and QP should be joint top of league with Livi, Spfl have 2 away wins in league as defeats, Queens beat Albion and East Kilbride both away
