From over 40 yards out at that! Maybe it was a misplaced pass!
Obviously told to stay in our own half by the manager.

Anyone at the throwing the scarf onto the pitch level of fustration or is that only for fans of big clubs ? Don't remember ever seeing it done at Palmerston unless it was fans of the away team.

Scoring more goals than the opposition is quite a popular game plan to be honest.

It would appear strip manufacturers Macron have let Queens down yet again and the new strips won’t be available until the end of July. They’ve previous for this and that’s why I was surprised the club agreed a new 3 year deal with them in the Summer.
Wonder what strip we’ll be wearing this weekend ?
Probably last seasons with a Building Craftsmem letterhead stapled across the front.

Queens played out a goalless draw with PNE at Palmy on 1/8/1970.
Team was Allan Ball, Graham McEwan, Hugh McLean, Jim Kerr, Colin Scott, Iain McChesney, Joe Sloan, Donnie McIntyre, Keith Houliston, George Dickson & Sammy Murray. Jim Donald came on as a sub for McIntyre.
This was Chopper Dickson's debut in a Queens shirt btw.
I must point out that I don't recall the game (I wasn't there - I was six months old at the time(!)), I just have the stats for most Queens friendlies on file!
I was at this game and remember the PNE skinheads being thrown out the main stand ......don't think Dumfries was ready for youth culture then.

I suppose looking on the bright side we are the team no one wants to play ...................... imagaine the ignominy of being the first team to loose to Queen of the South this year.( Might never happen though.)

First ever game was in 1969, Queens v Ayr United. Me and my mate had places on a bus going to Wembley for the England v Scotland international and as 14 year old school boys needed every penny for that so decided to save money and cycle from Sanquhar to Dumfries and back ..... a mere 55 miles.
Ayr were going up as champions if memory serves but Queens won 3:2 with Jimmy Welsh scoring a hattrick ........Scotland lost to England 4:1 in an Evening kickoff .......
Happy days .............
First away game was a 5:1 drubbing in the Scottish Cup at Parkhead .

Regardless of Dobbies form our defence still gives me the fear and he’s always likely to bag a couple against us.
Like the Morton game, lets just hope our front 4 can out score the opposition.Us Queens fans can only dream of a front two ........ what the feck's a front four?

So, last season it was better to travel on the Friday when we went on the Saturday. And this year, when we plan to travel on the Friday, Saturday is better.
Beginning to suspect Northfield is my wife .............

Ross County defender Callum Semple has been charged with betting on football matches.
Semple was issued with a notice of complaint today by the Scottish FA for bets made between the period of July 1 and March 1, in which he also played for Queen of the South on loan from Sheffield United.
..... from Press and Journal.0 -
This news will have put Lawrence Shankland's return back by about a month.

Thank you, Lochnagar purchased.
The Lochnagar is very good. I picked up a bottle at the distillery a few years ago and kept it as a buy now drink later purchase ( I do a lot of those ). The distillery is a great wee one to visit and they showed us a room with around 12 casks in it and said proudly that this was the weeks production.
