  1. 10,000 tickets at say £50 a ticket is 500k, add the hospitality packages then you take your expenses out, it will be significantly more than 25k.

That’s not how these things work. Concert promoters and the artists are the ones putting on this gig, they get the lions share of profits
  2. f**k. What about the fourth stand and the hotel in the travel hub that is Falkirk?

You should’ve listened to that Sunderland c**t you chased off here two months ago.

Think 95% of people did take heed of what the Sunderland guy said, he failed to dish the dirt and kept needlessly repeating himself though.
Unfortunately it’s the custodians of FFC that seemed intent on letting that utter chancer pull their pants doon in public

  3. If DD has been passed then he will have had to have shown his finances and available cash for the purchase.
Does he need to have a successful business to have the cash?

If I won euro millions on Friday would you turn me away? I’ve never run a business in my life!

Let me fix that typo for you Mark.

“I’ve never ran a business in my life, at least not for very long and only until it’s either been liquidated or wound up”
  4. I'm sure they'd love to, but the owners have decided to sell their shares to someone else and there's nothing BTB can do about it.
A better question would be why did the owners select Mark Campbell out of the three bidders?
Was it because  MC pledged to invest more cash after the purchase than BTB did?
Was it because of a personal dislike from the owners to some of the people involved with BTB?
Was it because the owners may have had links to people associated with the MC bid?
Was it because MC offered more cash to the owners for their shares than anyone else was willing to? Including Scott Davison?

I have no idea. But if someone can find out the answer to the first question it would clear a lot of things up.

Was it because the owners may have had links to people associated with the MC bid?

Is there a chance that this could be the case?
  5. So what have we learned from the 200+ posts on this page today?

Mark Campbell either is or isn't genuine, and the BtB guys either have or don't have substantial new information that could discredit him.

Very glad this is being debated at length by a lot of people who don't have a clue about the subject

All the more reason to discuss it on a forum then surely. I admittedly know very little about the situation but it’s a pretty big deal and I’m keen to hear any and all opinions on the matter

  6. Nothing is risk free.

True. I suppose some of us are just expecting the worst here, which is the wrong outlook.
We will just need to sit back and see what comes out in the coming days and hope that the due diligence process is done with care.
Fingers crossed Mr Campbell is the guy we all want him to be.
  7. As owner of a club, no there’s nothing to stop him doing that.  But that depends on someone being willing to lend.  To do that there would have to be either (a) something to secure it against (there isn’t) or (b) a strong cash flow with good bottom line that you can lend against in the knowledge that there is a solid means of repayment (there isn’t).
Any moron that lends us money in our current position deserves all they get.

So it’s risk free then with nothing to be gained by him and lost by his acquisition of FFC?

  8. Common practice with developers to set up a company specifically for an individual project then dissolve on completion so without any substance that means nothing.

It would be interesting to see what these dissolved companies were i.e butcher, Baker, candlestick maker, also, if MC has been attached to any fully functioning companies for any length of time.
The guy is obviously English so he would have a track record of some sorts on these shores.
  9. Did it not say the deal was 2.6m

I’ve seen varying figures mentioned, that might be the right one. A lot of money, still quite possible that such a figure could be raised in order to make the initial purchase, whether that be through loans, a hidden consortium, who knows.
If as has been mentioned this guy has been at the helm of 15 or 16 dissolved limited companies then it’s fair to say it’s worth erring on the side of caution
  10. Ok so please enlighten me as to what you think his plan is once he paid the peanuts to buy them out?
Sell the stadium we don’t own? Cash in the youngsters we don’t have? Alienate the fans? Get us relegated?
Im genuinely intrigued as to what you think his intentions might be?

First off, I’d love this guy to be the messiah and deliver all our hopes and dreams on a silver platter, I’m just urging caution like most others.

Is there anything to stop him taking out loans against the FFC company name and therefor plunging an otherwise debt-free, if not stagnated football club into murky financial waters?
If that is somehow not possible then I stand corrected, I’m just being sceptical as I find it hard not to feel that way at this stage.
  11. Good to see the email was acted upon.
I've been led to believe that your board are maybe not quite as competent as I'd hoped. In normal circumstances this would be terminal. Hopefully it is here.

“Toronto Black Cat” Would be good if you stopped posting on here as if you were genuine and had any dirt to dish you would’ve done so by now, these thinly veiled, cryptic posts are just silly.
Nowt more obvious that an agenda
  12. Craig Whyte bought Rangers for £1. He didn’t need to have the money, he just pretended he did.
Do you think Lex n co are leaving their seats for £1. Campbell needs to have the cash to buy them out or this dies in 2 weeks and everything has been pointless.
Proper DD will be done whether ‘Honk Van Hell’ raises their concerns on P&B or not.
None of us know if this guy is the real deal or not and we won’t until he’s in the chair but if he passes DD then surely it’s a risk worth taking?

The money required to buy out the MSG is relative peanuts, it would then leave MC or any other individual majority shareholding owner as the man at the helm, which could present issues further down the line. Just because someone can buy out the MSG doesn’t mean they’ve got serious financial clout to deliver. All looking a bit dodgy now anyway!
  13. Have you actually? If your "having been to" experiences are  trips to a football stadium, don't bother extending this reply chain any longer because it doesn't qualify you for comment.

I can confirm that I am fully qualified to comment.
I stand by the comment 100%
I will also conclude the reply chain at that.
  14. So the wrongly accused “racist” element amongst our fan base, which has now reached national press levels on numerous occasions actually turns out to be a shareholder?

A shareholder who, on the very morning of the EGM, was acquitted of any of the charges levelled at them!?

    You couldn’t write that.

If a full and public apology/retraction statement isn’t put out by the club then it is a complete disregard of basic respect towards both the club and its fans.

Only the tip of the iceberg of ongoing issues the board needs to deal with but it still needs addressed and sooner rather than later (6 months and counting)

  15. As someone who has spoken to the 1 fan who was accused of the “Racist slur” I am 100% convinced that what was said was closer to “f**k off back down to the lower leagues in England” a comment said in the heat of anger whilst FFC were toothless against bloody Stenny.
The club basically hung the fan out to dry, a guy btw who never misses a game and travels to support the team wherever they play. The FFC board have now blackened our name themselves without any facts or evidence whatsoever, because there was none!

As I said, Shit sticks and the FFC board were the ones who threw it out there in the 1st place.

As for Dennon Lewis, he should never have been anywhere near a Falkirk jersey, we can thank PH and his “Scout” for that one. Saying that, that isn’t Lewis’ fault, as fans we’d all have loved for him to be a success with us but he was a cog in the wheel of easily the poorest Falkirk side in living memory.
Good luck to you on Love Island Dennon, I’m not a fan of the show but it is what it is innit...
