Of course let’s wait and and see what happens. The mention though that part of the reason is down to his involvement with the Supporters Trust is a worry though. Sounds like the club are drawing a line here

It seems the Supporters Trust board contacted a journalist from a local newspaper and tried to get him to do a hatchet job on the club.  The club were tipped off hence the reason a line has been drawn here with the ST.  I'd do the exact same. How can the club work with a a group who are trying to trash it in the media? If this is proven to be the case (and I believe it can be) then the Supporters Trust board need to have a serious look at themselves and resignations should follow.

Idiotic doesn't even begin to cover it.

I think what a lot of folk are alluding to is that we HAVEN'T overspent by that much, but it might just be a convenient way of disposing of a 6 figure profit from the Celtic cup game.
I'm not ITK but if there's accounts published that show that the Celtic money has been used to offset "losses" then major questions need asked.

Ammo with the greatest of respect, I wouldn't speculate on hearsay.

PH has to sustainably invest – no Airdrieonians FC, no stadium – and vice versa.. Championship football would get more bums on seats, generate additional finance – but this will mean investment . If he is in the game of reducing his loses and putting minimum investment into the club, the stadium and club will ultimately die  - not immediately but they will die.  And that’s a no win for everyone including PH.

    Bingo! Congratulations Roger Thornhill.

Anyone with an IQ of higher than 10 can figure out its very much in PH's interest to have a successful football team. A winning team means a busier stadium. One must compliment the other. Something that's sadly been lacking for many years at Airdrie and is now being rectified. Some problems are being ironed out but the club will be better for it going forward once those with an agenda have been flushed out.

If that’s the attitude of the club towards the trust and people who’ve done so much for Airdrie over the years then I’m pretty horrified.

I'm speaking for me as a lifelong fan.  We don't all buy into the trust clique. They represent themselves not the Airdrie support as a whole.  A few home truths should not horrify you.

  5. The trust notes were very inconsistent and bordering on bitter at times on FB. The funds provided whether that be  £10 or £20k are trivial in comparison to the overall income of Airdrie FC. That wouldn't even cover a small proportion of the losses incurred by the club this season which is as far as I understand is in excess of £150k. Those remaining have been left to pick up the tab. The club will survive without the trust but there will be no trust without  Airdrieonians Football Club.  The tail simply cannot  wag the dog.

That aside, the club seem to have an employee who's main focus is to raise funds for the trust.  The trust then have an issue about the club asking for a share of that income for which the club pay and the trust contribute nothing. It would seem that the trust have given this no consideration and just want have their cake and eat it.  Perhaps the trust should consider compensating the club for the extensive fund raising services its had for free!!!
