Potter rumoured to be going in a Sporting Director type role. Probably more suited to what skills he has for developing talent.

Could he be down playing any investment, that contract talks are about to start with existing players. He did touch on previous contracts not being in the clubs best interest.
Could he be doing the same with down playing next seasons recruitment, again to get best contract deals for the club.
Smart, Penman, Mckenzie, McGregor, Kilgour, Barrowman the group Iv heard.

John Sim was bursting to say more on that interview.
If what I’m hearing about the local group investing in the club, a mix of local successful businessmen and football men, then there’s exciting times on the way for The Rovers. Wish it was my club.

Another 2 goals for Charlie Reilly tonight for Albion, go get him Potter
Full time football awaits for Reilly, He’s been training with full time clubs most of this season.

Fully agree, really wouldn't be surprised to see Tait and/or Allan moved on, when's Hoti signed on til?
Striker in and defensive cover unless we just use Gold and Stewart and its been a decent January so far
Scott Allan has a 2 year deal at £2,000 per week. Be some pay off if he was to move on.

Season of 2 half’s, well above expectation 1st half, few injuries and we collapsed into the 2nd half. It’s crucial we don’t take the form and morale that may linger onto next season.

Kelty directly may not be.
But the deal of:
- a big signing bonus
- a full time job with conservatory converters
- his weekly wages from kelty
Probably will add up to a full package rate of £750 a weekI’m involved more at Keltys 20’s level but if what I’m hearing Dylan has a chance to learn a trade going to Kelty through their sponsor same as Stephen Husband done which has resulted in Hubby being secure for later life after football.
Common sense tells you Dylan would be on £200-£250pw at Forfar, add a job on minimum wage as a trainee tradesmen £400pw. Dylan will possibly be on £500 to £600 for 50 hours work per week, he will work full time 9 till 5 as well as train and play for Kelty part time. What difference is that to 90% of players in the SPFL?
I may be wrong but does the Forfar goalkeeper not have the same arrangement through the Forfar chairman’s company?
Players should be commended for thinking of life after football, it’s a very short career with no riches attached at part time level.

As I said rumour on another thread, a quick denial from the club would be good (of course if you have inside knowledge and you can put our minds at ease that would be much appreciated )
My sons part of the setup, they are competing in the same league next season.

Fully understand and appreciate that money can't be plucked out of thin air.
The relevance is regarding the balance of BoD. If only we new what that is.
Having been inLeague 1 for two seasons you'd have thought that the budget would be on the money. It looks like we will have another season here. Maybe the expenditure and income forecasts need to be more realistic for a club in our position.
Who’s to say the budget isn’t on the money, it’s bad recruitment that’s been the problem. Arbroath have cantered to the League with the rump of the best of part time players, players who are better than the full time players at Raith. It shouldn’t happen.
Iv heard McGlynn is hard at work on a squad for next season trying to tie up the best players in League 1 and 2 following Arbroath model. I was told he has our striker Anton Dowds and Dylan Easton from Forfar on his radar, I’m led to believe Easton has signed a pre contract with Kelty Hearts and Big Tonks has not long signed a new contract with us.

Easily checked. We have 2 Accountants currently in employment, John Sim and Ali More, 1 retired Accountant David Sim. So 3 out of 7 BoD are Accountants and we are still in a "Financial Disaster " !!!!
Where’s the relevance in that? Accountants can’t pluck money out thin air. Your income will have dropped heavily being in League 1 and being accountants they will be prudent in what’s being spent so it’s not more than what’s coming in.
Yes they can do income expenditure forecasts and prepare accounts etc but being an accountant doesn’t mean they have the ability to increase income.

Would take Jamie back in a heartbeat, is he not back down south? Challenging move to join a part time club with no other job or house north of the border.

I believe McEwan was punted early last week after a board meeting and feedback from commercial staff.
Seemingly took over £10,000 out the club over 6 months (which iv heard they are going to ask for back). Not one new commercial deal was signed or even close to be signed.
The North Stand deal, seemingly was a smokescreen conjured up the day he got the bullet to save him face.
