Can play anywhere down the left of the pitch and signs on a two year deal with an option of a third.

    A Carlisle-based lad.

Will soon have a full team of midfielders. I doubt he has signed for tuppence halfpenny! Could still do with another striker and definitely a goalie or 2

How big is the squad now?

I thought he was a handful last night and unlucky not to score. Our issue lies further back. McKay should never play defensively for us again and Logan a headless chicken. Midfield Ferguson missing again and Cochran has been very poor recently. Until we stop conceding a barrow load of soft goals we are going to win nothing. When we went ahead again last night I just prayed for us to shut up shop but again terrible tactics and awful team selection shot us down.

We must have been at different games. I thought both Logan and Fergusson played well.

Shocking second half. Well done Falkirk. The better team. Couldn’t defend our way out of a wet paper bag. Set pieces and the statue that is Paul Mckay. Need Houston to replace Logan and Efe in for McKay next week. I would fire Bartley and get someone else in that can organise this rabble or relegation is a certainty. 1 win in 11. Enough is enough. Like last time how can we go a goal ahead at home and just crumble. I’m in Latam for the next 4 weeks so won’t see the next 4 games. Thank god.

I thought Logan played really well today.

Before any new board we must stay in League 1.

Bartley saying we have had the worse injury list in the League hence our low position The news of the board  leaving did not leave much time for Bartley but as I thought he spoke very well you almost thought he was a good manager .

What worrys me is we definitely have Bartley till the end of the season it is as if he does not realise how serious our situation is .We are somehow going to stay  full time next season but with huge  cuts.

This shows what a arse Bartley has made of this he has been  working with a Championship budget yet somehow has signed a very poor squad that will struggle to keep us on League 1

    Championship budget?

It seems a few players arrived late for the Edinburgh game all hit with fines.

That again just sums up our season players can't even be bothered to turn up on time.

Do players want to play for Marvin i am not sure they do .

Do other teams in the league travel by car or do they have buses?

I've heard a similar rumour about a Gibson / Bartley "difference of opinion" too which bears a lot of similarity to one doing the rounds at the end of last season when Bartley wasn't playing Wilson because, according to Bartley, Wilson wasn't fit enough and Wilson believed he was and should be playing.

I could all just be talk, of course, but if true and Bartley is leaving out important players because of behind the scenes issues it reeks of a manager being totally out of his depth desperately trying to stamp his authority on his players, and to use his favourite word, behaving extremely "unprofessionally".

I would emphasise again though that the above could all be the result of Chinese Whispers.

Gibson has been injured a few times this season but can’t help but wonder how much of his rumoured problems with Bartley is influenced by his father.

Re Marvin's interview - I think you can be quite media savvy/experienced as he obviously is, but the few minutes immediately after a bad loss is usually a very emotional moment for any manager at any level and at such times common sense can easily go out the window.  This was poor judgement from Marvin for participating in it, but probably more so very poor judgement by the club in the way it was handled and in even publishing it (was it even vetted/edited by the club's top level management prior to publishing?).

I thought a very telling point was where Marvin (almost accepting and acknowledging the inevitable) said that he doubted that an incoming manager could get much more out of those players.  I think he actually hit the nail on the proverbial head there - it's hardly going to be an attractive prospect for any new manager that he'll have to work with such a poor squad with only minor adjustments possible in January.

These are truly dire times at Palmy.

I disagree. A different manager, doing things differently, potentially could get more from the current squad. The combination of an Inexperienced manager and mostly inexperienced squad may be the problem. You have to have a high level of emotional intelligence and understand what motivates each individual player to get the most from them.

Absolutely no doubt that Marvin talks a good game. But not convinced that he has the capacity for enough flexibility or empathy with the players. He seems very rigid and inflexible to me.
