    Didn't the Tanner Fund fold?

With the Chairman busy with other things and the rest of the committee gone, is there really a Tanner Fund left?

I guess someone else with more time on their hands and less other commitments could ressurect it. Might even get some kind of representation on the board.

To me the last BOD’s didn’t show enough interest in the Tanner Fund especially Hewitson but you can tell with the quotes from Murphy , McLinden & Dan Armstrong that they would 100% support either it’s resurrection or something similar to replace it. The £45,000 raised over four years was a great amount but it could be so much better with a proper and sincere backing from the club.

You can count me in if something starts again.

Murphy will be able to spot a quality player that is the easy part but getting him to sign for us will be  very difficult .

As you say the next month will be crucial Murphy really has a massive job trying to get a squad good enough to challenge at the right end of League 1.

What’s our budget this year ?

    Quantify "substantial"?

How can he leave for nothing if he was contracted? Was there a clause he could leave any time a full time club came for him? Seems mental Annan wouldn't be due compo if he's contracted.

    One hundred million dollars 😀

Not having a pop directly at you but think we need to be a bit patient. Our last game was less than 2 weeks ago, some Clubs are still playing, our new Manager hasn't been in the door a week yet, lots of players having a break and on holiday, pre-season starts in about 4 weeks or something, we're not exactly needing to rush out just for the sake of signing someone.

    He’s an impatient b@@tard 😀

  5. The 5 concern are

1 - lack of transparency & communications with shareholders & supporters.

    2 - Challenging financial position.

3 - No meaningful commercial activities or strategy.

4 - Fragmentation of the club.

5 - Board structure that is no longer fit for purpose.

Signed by several concerned individuals including a former Chairman.

Wasn't aware they're in financial trouble. But I do know the club budget is absolutely tiny (I doubt that's surprising, mind you). No compo for Murphy is a bit of a kick in the stones for them as well.

One of the five reasons for an EGM was listed as a ‘challenging financial position’ …. Surprised to read that as always thought they were an extremely well run football club.

Shame. Didn’t really get a chance through injury. Thought he might have done better.

    Reilly to Arbroath

    Houston to Clyde

Jay Burns starting a university course

Finlay Kennedy started full time employment away from Queens

    Anyone else officially away ?

So really rather than saying "Help give fans a stronger voice", it would have been more accurate to say "Help give the Trust a stronger voice" or "Help give 115 selected fans a stronger voice".

As a matter of genuine interest, who in the Trust decides on how Trust funds are to be spent?  Do all members get a say?  What happens if there is an approximate 50/50 split on, say, whether the Trust should sponsor a player?  It's rare in any walk of life for all members of an organisation to be singing from the same hymnsheet all of the time.

It’s all about the TRUST and nothing else. They’re obsessed with trying to have some sort of say on how the club is being run and a seat on the board 🙄

I get the whole concept of what you are trying to achieve; incidentally, how many shares will the Trust now own after this transaction?

Total waste of supporters time and money in my opinion. It’s Queens that need a financial boost not some private individual.

We’ll be very lucky if the old mainstand passes its Health & Safety checks this Summer. The end is nigh 😔

I stand corrected. The young lady that works at Palmerston told  me earlier there’s quite a bit of maintenance work going on in and around the ground. Great to hear 👍🏽

Help us to give fans a stronger voice!

The Queens Trust have been given the rare chance to purchase 480 shares in Queen of the South Football Club. We are looking to raise close to half the required amount with the other half coming from Trust funds.

    Share Purchase Update:

In the words of Bon Jovi - ‘whoa, we’re half way there…’

So far we have raised £1,750 which is amazing with £1,250 from our just giving page and £500 so far in our lucky squares competition to win a holiday at Craig Tara. Thank you all so much for your support!

Please help us to reach our target and give fans a stronger voice. Here are some ways you can help.

1: Our just giving page is still open. We have increased its target amount slightly now that the initial target has been met. All donations gratefully received. Ps where just giving ask for a fee it is possible to make this amount £0.

2: We have less than 50 lucky squares left in our great competition to win a Haven holiday. Only £10 a number. Have a go and you could win a great holiday for up to 6! Many thanks to former player  Jimmy McGuire for kindly donating this prize.

3: Donate via our bookcase in the Queens Arena. The bookcase continues to provide regular funds. Thank you to all who support it. So please bring along or buy some books or just make a donation into our collection tin.

4: Next month we will be having an auction of some Queens/football tops and other items via EBay. If you have any items at all that you would like to donate please get in touch we would love to hear from you. Our last auction on eBay was a great success and it would be great if this could do the same.

    Just giving link below.

How on Earth is buying more shares the TRUST want giving the FANS a stronger voice  ? It’s all about you and not the supporters 🤔
