They maybe have replacements but they don't seem to now be local as those local business men who approached have been rejected if I hear correctly from other sources.

I completely agree with you in regards to the quick implementation of a new board to kick start the new era at Palmerston.  The fact that JM and PM are best mates would go against his employement for me though as if it doesn't work out, I wouldn't like to be involved in the sacking of a pal...

McCall does have the experience we need... however I don't think financially we would gamble on the back of such losses as Billy said at the AGM, the financial model needs to change for next season... McCall needs a big budget wherever he goes

Mr McLinden scored a massive own goal last Monday by not wanting to engage any further with a small group of businessmen.  Hope he doesn’t end up regretting that decision.

As far as i'm aware, surely a chairman has to be elected by the complete board...and as there is only him on there he can't possibly be... and i'm guessing this is the delay as he's probably trying to find said people in point B to join him.... I genuinely 'hope' this is just rumour control and he turns out to be a cracking appointment.... however...... time will soon tell

Don’t you also need 250 shares to become a director and go through all the relevant fit & proper checks ?

Feel we're shooting ourselves in the foot here with keeping Bartley in post. We're at the time of the season where clubs are quietly talking to players and getting squads sorted for next season, who's going to sign for this clown?

It's common knowledge lots of punters won't be renewing season tickets or coming to watch while Bartley's in post which should be a real concern. There's talk of it costing circ £50k to get rid, surely that would be the best money spent for a while. I'm sure there would be an increase in support and a buzz about the place next weekend if he was gone.

The club is in a downward spiral and we need to address this asap.

He’s only still our manager because of what it’ll cost the current BOD’s to pay him off. We can only hope that McLinden and the other new directors ( whoever they’ll be ) will do the right thing and get him out our club ASAP.

Ironically it is two players who have been shunned by Bartley in recent weeks (in Gibson’s case for most of the season) that dug him and the Club out of a huge hole. We are still in a huge mess but failing to win today would have been disastrous.

Don't get me wrong I don’t think young Gibson has progressed this season the way he should have BUT constantly being overlooked in favour of under-performers like McKechnie is hardly a confidence booster. Also his persistent deployment as a wing back is simply incompetent decision making.

We have a make or break game today where we desperately need to create chances and score goals - he picks McKechnie ahead of Gibson.

Bartley has helped hold back his progress. He’ll be a big miss next season IMO.

  5. More and more supporters have already voted with their football and more have promised to not return after yet another home defeat at the weekend.
the BOD have no option but to get shot of this clown.
He promised both the club & the players he’d get them promoted this season.

Aye right Marvin. Your time is up.

Is Ross Irving's move to Threave a loan deal or permanent? Heard Mixed stories...

Permanent. He’s been paid up until the end of the season by Queens as he was under contract.

Noticed he scored on his debut for Threave Rovers but was listed as a trialist.

Let’s just say him and Bartley didn’t get on.

This is why it is  very difficult to get investment.

We can't even get a local firm to sponsor.us hence the shirt draw

What you really need is  someone who has a huge amount of spare  cash who wants to own a football club not expecting to get money back sadly not many of those folk around .

Somehow Carlisle have done it is not impossible but very difficult .

No local company is going to spend £80,000 ( what the draw usually makes ) a season to sponsor Queens ffs. The shirt draw is a great idea and very successful.

Good work. Sadly the last sentence speaks volumes about the club. The club were contacted for comment.'They obviously didn't. They couldn't even be bothered responding. What a waste of space this BoD are.

The safety officer should be looking out for such hazards before the game. Thats her job then report it to ground staff. We’ve already had one support slip on ice and smash his elbow at the Dobbie testimonial match.

Haven’t the club learned their lesson ?
