I don't believe he is? He was manager at Preston and got sacked?
Not entirely sure.
Thats absolute nonsense, He is involved in youth football and hasn't been to any EOS games this season, as i asked him last night, He and another coach were offered the Craigy job before Mikey took it but turned it down due to failing to agree terms. Rumours rife that a player at Craigy took a lot of cash off players for tracksuits, then done a runner, said player now released and playing elsewhere!

Craig Nisbet is at Heriot Watt Uni is he not? Why would he take a step down?

Who u fancy for it!Sandys should win this, but their pre-season has been a bit underwhelming, although they regularly deliver in competitive games.
AVU v Tollcross should be a very good game, expecting Tollcross to be too strong but AVU will provide a good test.
Should be a very good final next Friday at Oriam, a repeat of last seasons final??? Who knows!

dinnae know why youz are getting excited about tolcross. tranent where missing players
Tollcross were missing 2 Scottish internationalists and 3 other players. Tranent will implode due to ill discipline this season. Red card tackle was horrific from Ross Ferguson. Lucky for the Tollcross player is wasn't a serious injury.
Premier league is going to be a battle this season, LEAFA will be delighted as there will be an increase on the fines received :-)

It's hardly self preservation if you simply don't have the funds to spend on lights, that clubs have managed perfectly well without for decades,
But surely if Whitehill had ambitions to gain promotion from LL to SPLF League 2 then you would have needed floodlights, as you have previously stated planning permission application is already been submitted, so 12 months to get this over the line should be achievable. Other clubs have completed the process within 12 months of application approval. Good luck on raising the funds, and I believe you already have volunteers offering services (Electrician).

He was playing with Kiddo and others in a Mental Health charity event at the weekend, Probably a bit of fun with Sandys tweeting it, I reckon Wayne's phone would have been heating up over the weekend with even more offers lol

Believe it or not mate, it’s not a sought after position and there aren’t a lot of people clambering for it.
It suited me because I couldn’t commit this season to every week but I can see what people don’t want it having just experienced it.
You get no thanks, you definitely can’t please everyone and everybody else can do a better job. Before I done it, I said the same but have seen first hand it doesn’t quite go to plan like club football. I enjoyed it all the same and I’m sure the boys you know enjoyed it aswell, it’s a good experience.
I’d imagine the committee would be delighted to have more people put themselves forward for it, especially guys like you mentioned that have been successful.
Your comment is factually incorrect though, I suspect you will say Mickey Mouse league, but won a league all the same. And major
Have you given it up Dinsey? Just concentrating on Lauriston or combining it?

I noticed on Dalkeith site that they will be announcing a few signings in due course as Jock Landells has been busy securing signatures and also his backroom staff. Jock must have wondered what he had done for 9/10 players to disappear with his feet just in the door. Fingers crossed he can get a competitive squad together.

What happened to the select squad, Would be very good to see a select squad from the current crop of EOS sides. Does anyone think there would be appetite for its reintroduction?
Potentially could play against a Lowland League select side, East Region Juniors select and West Region Juniors.
Would be a good way to end a season!!

Sacking Shanks is an unbelievable decision. This will come back to haunt Gala. Shanks knew how to maintain league status, and proved his abilities.
No doubt an ex pro will come in and realise the league is tougher than they thought, Welcome to EOS Gala 2020/21

Bit harsh the lad is only 20 year old.
His shot-stopping is unbelivable, yes his reading of the game and commanding of a box can be improved but he's only 20 year old and that will all become better with experience, getting older and growing in confidence (which probably isn't at it's highest right now when you're at a team bottom of the league).
You'll struggle to find someone who gives more commitment and is willing to learn more than Ross when he was the 20s goalie would train Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday play on the friday for the 20s and sit on the bench for the first team on a Saturday.
He'll go onto bigger and better things than Whitehill and if thats at Kelty then the boy dereves it and I'm sure will reap the rewards and become a better goalkepper there.
Think it is Paul Grant and not Ross.
Also hearing Yossi (Former Penicuik keeper) has went to Whitehill

Salvesen FC folded, something to do with the solidarity with Edinburgh University being removed. :-)

So you must have funding in place for the 3g pitch and floodlighting, From recollection permissoon was granted for floodlighting. 3g was a seperate issue. Where is the rage, merely stating facts and opinion from other clubs with their own ground and floodlighting and changing rooms.Aye whitehill and an artificial pitch as well. Knocked back because we own the park now away and have a go at the various ground sharers who have done fcuk all to get a license
On a separate note. The changing rooms and social club were funded from the Scottish Cup run ultimately ended by Celtic. That was some time ago and way before the Lowland League.0 -

GTF how have they buried their heads in the sand, they've been trying for years to get permission to get floodlights.

For what it's worth ww built changing rooms and a social club but that'll no count eh
I like the fact you have buried your head in the sand for the last 5 seasons cause it "only became a rule the last few months", The rules have been lightly adopted and now it is to be enforced, either apply for a grant to get floodlights installed or resign from the LL, (if you get a reprieve)

Season after season it was only this season it became a ruling. Dry yer eyes man who's to say the 3 LL clubs without lights haven't made plans ?
It was in the original criteria, If you have knowledge of Whitehill or the other 2 clubs having floodlighting to be installed in the close season then please share!! I have my doubts!

A wake up call, where do you expect clubs to pull say 20k from....
The same place you found all the money during the glory days to pay for the best players while other clubs invested the money into the facilities. All teams with no floodlights should be automatically removed from the Lowland League, all clubs knew it was going to be a requirement since the inception of the Lowland League. So the teams with no floodlights have had 5 seasons to fundraise and install sufficient floodlighting. No sympathy

I know that, as I know the older Craig Nisbet, who is now involved with a youth side, he confirmed he and another co manager were offered the job at Craigy before Mikey. And hasnt been anywhere near Craigroyston, spends more time watching Lowland League games he said.
Hertz1874 - Get your facts clear before posting. Stirring up unwanted nonsense for self gratification. Nizzy's phone hasnt stopped buzzing with folk asking him if he is taking over at Craigy, and he isnt. Committed to the team he is with now.
