Are you trying to say that Spartans are not a better team than Gala in the case of Baxter?
Fair point well made with Baxter. Never noticed that one ☝️

Not a peep from the club and another good player away. Letting other clubs announce they have signed your players and not thanking them for their services on a successful season is poor. Other clubs are spot on with announcing who has arrived and left their squads. Gala sound like a complete shambles from what it sounds like.
If it helps the folk on here the club have signed
Bonnar, McBride, Berry from the Vale and Herdman who was on loan at Coldstream has returned.
Also two young lads from Kelty 20's have signed who were previously at Tynecastle.
Out so far
Baxter - Spartans
Cunningham - Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
Smith - Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
Paterson - Vale of Leithen
Stevebson - Tynecastle
Donaldson - Sunday Football
Not confirmed but from what's been doing the rounds is
Watson - Spartans/Penicuik
Miller - Berwick/BSC
Main - CSS
Scullion - ?
Not one player from last year has went to a better team. Says a lot for the ambition and quality.
Surprised to see Tommy take such a huge step backwards to the Vale which probably goes down to immaturity
maybe they have found their place in football good riddance for the shameful way they have treated the club.
Onwards and upwards Gala !!

what's getting ridiculous now is the nothing posts going up on their Facebook and twitter accounts and they haven't even announced the new manager! the ironic thing is if they'd done it when it happened there would have been a short backlash but they are prolonging their own misery here, this will continue until they address it
Grow up Archie. You and Edinburghbhoy are clearly out to tarnish anything Gala do. Childish and pathetic.
They have announced it on their website and I have seen it also on local press it’s a big club with a lot of young players coming through the Academy that don’t need your constant bully boy negativity and hatred towards the new chairman in particular
All a bit tedious and tiring from you now yawwwwwwwn

Its amazing how many new posters have appeared on this thread over the last week or so, its almost as if might have an agenda, maybe say someone connected to the old management team.
I'm not saying they are wrong though, just looks a bit like that.
Absolutely agree Gogsy. The club have came through a lot more than what they encountering just now. The club will remain and be a competitive club in the league for which I have no doubt. Seems highly likely some of the comments are as you suggested. Rightly or wrongly the decision was made however that is football and much bigger teams have relieved managers of their duties and gone on to better things. Only really a couple of keyboard warriors attempting to discredit the club and the committee which is a shame as it is clear the committee do a lot for the town as a community hub.
Move on....

Not at all brawlads just stating facts hope am proved wrong tho. Hear the chairman is also making signings aswell now don’t see many managers putting up with that tbh.
That should never happen. Can the club not oust the new chairperson ? When did old one resign ?

You’ll need something stronger than tea to watch that dross at Netherdale next year Dug meat.
Very constructive again from the keyboard warrior.

It’s got potential to be a great club and there are/where some great people involved but the new chairman seems to be treating it like a game of monopoly instead of a football club
That Archie I agree with and it is definitely worrying and hope it works out if all the rumours are correct I don’t agree with what has happened and did think the football would have improved next season under Dean and co now that they have a year and a settled team under their belt.
Worrying times and sad to see the report of players and committee leave. Their are some great people down at that club without a doubt.

More a coffee man but once again Archie keep fishing away and let’s see and wish the best for Gala Fairydean Rovers. The club will be their for many more successful years with or without you support.

The only bile here is you talking nonsense and proves your clueless and you’ve not made 1 valid point. Lost some cracking players for nothing that’s gonna hurt replacing them with local lads (haha).
And there starts the bile..... thanks for confirming my point so eloquently.
There is nothing funny about this and it is a serious and not laughable situation despite your clear joy in final words. As I said the haters will hate and clearly you form as part of this as another keyboard warrior.
I do worry about what’s happening but forever hopeful as this club seems fairly resilient and I look forward to watching them again.

Seems to be a lot of opinion against the decision which is a surprise to everyone and one that doesn’t bode well with some.
I think under the management of 18/19 we saw great strides in some areas but to what cost. The cost of watching attractive football certainly was a huge point and one that stopped me and many others from coming down. Long ball isn’t good to watch and wondered why any player would want to play that style of football.
Local players were always out of favour and replaced by City players who where not any better but would cost the club more for expenses etc - that I am certain of.
Gala has been good in the past for having a great mix of local and Edinburgh and this evidently was thrown out by the now previous footballing regimes.
As for social media we all have seen the local press and their website to gain the news - not sure why that point was so important other than to let the haters sabotage the post with bile.

Like many many many many football clubs they relieves the Manager of his duties my comment is about the loyalty of the players towards the club and the backward step the majority, not all, have made.
Love your hatred towards the club though Archie.
