Hopefully a teamsheet will be published tonight giving a few more details of playing squad

Tbf, the ‘coaching staff’ you refer to consists of the Edinburgh City chairman’s son and a couple of his mates 🤷🏻♂️
Glad somebody said it0 -
Question now is who is going to replace them
EOS players apparently0 -
Although he was on loan, is Ruari Paton going to Penicuik?
Not heard anything although dean was keen to bring him back as hibs are releasing him0 -
Lee Wallace was a boyhood hibs fan

Darren smith now away, disappointing. RE the financial stuff, only what has been said by others, not my personal opinions etc

The Volunteer Hall was booked for the date they wanted and the Academy were unable to do it for other reasons. Plus, how much did he and his Coaches take in expenses BJ? (unfortunate initials BTW)
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]didn’t even think of that when making account, no idea tbh but from what I was told a lot of money was spent, biggest budget ever for the club. Still don’t think he should have been sacked however

Made a few bob for the Club during his time did Mr Shanks.
Also spent far more than he was supposed to, hence the player of the year awards being held at the club as opposed to elsewhere (where it’s been every other season)-1 -
not just now but I think come Saturday we might know more when contracts terminate
Do you think they’ll publish any details?0 -

100% and with all due respect, Football is a second sport in this area of the country, for Lowland League survival you need to branch out
He’ll be nowhere near netherdale anyway, shows maybe once a season.

Official announcement of Hastings either tonight or tomorrow.

Different to Selkirk situation in that the club doesn’t have large debts, so doubt that kind of thing however the team that is assembled will almost certainly struggle in the league

Ricky miller, Reece Donaldson and Sandy Cunningham are all definitely away, along with Ryan Stevenson (although he is still in a protective boot so perhaps not a huge loss)

Local players playing for the club is definitely a good idea but in practice I’m not sure that the best local players are good enough to survive in the LL. We signed two of the better local based boys in Phil Addison and Tommy Paterson but beyond that I’m not sure what there really is. Previous posters have hit the nail on the head with regards to the local amateur leagues, with most of the better players there probably not wanting to step up to LL

I’m sure their hard work won’t have went unnoticed, sure something will come up for them soon enough

Tbh the new chairman has been moaning about ‘the style of play’ for a long while even before he took charge and it seems like he’s been planning this.

Think the decision itself and the fallout as a result of it will be looked back on at the end of season as a huge huge mistake by all at the club.
