Not as good as he can be from what I have seen watching him against us and on the odd occasion on Friday night TV games. He has a few flashes of what he can do but has lacked end product at times, to be fair to him he played a number of games without a natural right back behind him which didn’t help. Seems to have been written off by some of our support already which seems harsh to me.

This game and Dunfermline at home the following week are huge games for Doolan. I have a feeling this will be a score draw for some reason, which all things considered wouldn’t be a bad result for ourselves. Ayr will be backing themselves to give us a bit of a doing you’d imagine given how poor we have been of late.

Fair play to Alloa, they really went at it in the second half and deserved their victory. From a Thistle point of view this season is getting really tiring already. Pressure is already seriously mounting on Doolan. I am not calling for him to go as of now, but the next two games are monumental for him.

As much as I’d like to see Ablade start in the cup, I’m sure Graham will be wanting to start this game after going a few without a goal. So you never know, we may see him retain his place.

I am going to guess we don’t change the team too drastically for this. I think Doolan will want to create some momentum after our first league win. That said I think a couple of changes will be made, I think we will see Ablade and Smith starting. Would be happy for Lyon to maintain his place, although that is Robinson back from suspension.

Interested to see how heavily (or not) we rotate our team for this.

I have been impressed with Roberts so far. Plays like someone who is older than he is.

A much better performance from ourselves today. Harry Milne deservedly getting motm for me. I felt the introduction of Bannigan really helped the midfield, Lyon did fine especially considering he has played almost no football for us for a year. Nilsson makes a difference at full too. Felt for Ablade that his goal was chopped off, two in his first two would’ve been a great start. Great for Zander to bag his first goal too. All in all a good day at the office.

If you can’t get it to work, worst comes to worst the ticket stand will be open outside the Jackie Husband. Hopefully the app ticket service is not down though.

Aye I’d expect Graham to come straight back in and hopefully Nilsson is moved into his natural position. Fitzpatrick, plus one of Smith or Chalmers out wide.

Injured?

Unexpectedly we are now in talks with another winger. However, another championship club are speaking to the same guy. He has left an English League Two side over the summer, so it would be a permanent deal not a loan if we make the signing.

I would guess around 6ft3”. He is around the same height as McBeth and I believe that is his height.

I’d be happy with the line up, I think Doolan might return to Chalmers starting over Smith though. Was surprised Smith wasn’t brought on against Falkirk.

Can we keep 11 men on the pitch?? Really need a performance here. I expect a few changes to the line up from the one we saw today.
