I remember he absolutely ripped us apart playing for Motherwell a few years ago. No idea whats happened but he looks a shadow of that player.

TBF he was up against Calum Waters when he scored the 2 goals and his hat trick against the St Johnstone wasn't exactly spectacular. 13 goals in 6 and 1/2 years doesn't inspire confidence but he has signed so hopefully SR can work his magic.

It’s my understanding that 5th place league finish is not a guaranteed entry for Europe.

I believe it depends on who wins the Scottish Cup as if it’s a team not in the Champions league slots the cup winners automatically enter the Europa League.

    https://www.sportinglife.com/amp/football/news/which-scottish-clubs-will-be-playing-in-european-competitions-next-season/209858

Saturday’s Scottish Cup final ironed out the European qualifiers and plans for next season.

Celtic’s win over Inverness denied Caley Thistle a place in Europe and ensured Hibernian qualified through their fifth-placed finish in the cinch Premiership.

The result guaranteed group-stage football for Aberdeen and also gave Hearts a later start.

I’d rather we finish 4th in the league as it would be a fair kick in the balls if a team like Morten won the Scottish Cup, we finish 5th and no European trip for us.

Ok perhaps I’ve taken that scenario too far by mentioning Morten but hopefully you get the gist of what I’m describing.

    Apologies if I’m misunderstanding this.

But could someone please tell me if my logic is correct?

That’s why I believe the next two games this season against Kilmarnock are key for us…..assuming we both finish top 6.

Yeah you are correct but think Killie will pip us to 4th unfortunately hence why I am looking at 5th place option and one of the cheeks, hearts or killie to win the scottish cup.

PPV in Scotland/England isnt allowed at 3 on a Saturday. It is available at other times of the week/weekend dependent on agreements with competition broadcasters. Im sure clubs are allowed a handful of midweek league games to PPV each.

PPV should be available to people in every other country no matter what the time.

Agreed, so have the smaller clubs colluded and decided not to show them to international subscribers or have they been instructed not to do so???

And if you had been paying attention St Mirren announced yesterday:

“Due to no broadcasting cameras at the SMiSA Stadium this weekend and no PPV being permitted, we are unable to show Saturday's match live on St Mirren TV.

There will, however, be live audio commentary for international and UK based subscribers.”

So were Aberdeen breaking a contract agreement last night?

Boot them out the tournament! 😂

It is complete and utter shite. Rangers, Celtic Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs are all showing international subscribers the game. Note how they all were not being played at 3pm on a Saturday. Why have 2 home games in Edinburgh at the same time tomorrow. You couldn't make it up, but someone decided to appease their fans.

They are/will give the club a bad name. They were going to attack me and a mate until they realised we were Saints fans. My mate is 67 with breathing problems I'm 64. Reported them to the club. Noticed we have balaclavas banned from the SMISA stadium now.

They were also supposedly banned for the away day. Was anything done about it?

Given Robbo has mentioned in the press this morning that the incoming striker is recovering from injury, and given there have been some rumours about Rotherham could the new boy be Josh Kayode?

Republic of Ireland youth, 22 year old, was on loan at MK Dons last season so obviously one they are trying to develop.

Got injured there in Feb and didn't feature again last season.

Ticks the boxes as per the description Robbo has given.

    https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-kayode/profil/spieler/532195

    And this would suggest they might well be up for loaning him out again;

Was he not referring to Ayunga to come back in from Injury?  That was the way I read it.

I've been really surprised by Taylor. He's looked decent every time he's played and will continue to improve. Signing a guy from the Irish second tier I was convinced he was going to be utter shite. Shows what I know.

As for Olusanya, there's still time for him to come good. If he doesn't, then fine, we're going to make bad signings at times. So far Robinson has a pretty good hit rate.

He is 25. you would have thought he would have come good by now.

I listened to the while interview, as mentioned above, Burrows does always come over well when chatting to media.

Although I might give it another listen just to count the number of "you knows" in there...!

Probably can't beat Stubbs for 'you knows'. 2 withing first twenty seconds and couldn't watch it after the 'you know' episode starting at 2 minutes 20. Burrows and Stubbs would be ideal together you know.
