  1. I have just spent the last 2 hours constructing an email to the club at board@falkirkfc.co.uk detailing Holt's failures in his role; I included quotes of his from the Q&A confirming that he has been heavily involved in recruitment since taking up his role, despite the more recent revisions trying to claim the contrary. I have also confirmed to them that I will not be giving the club any money, nor will I be signing up to FSS, until he is no longer employed by the club - I mentioned I am not alone in feeling this way. It may not get anywhere, but I urge everyone to do likewise and put real pressure on the board, making our voices heard loud and clear on this matter.

    2 hours?
  2. We were talking about getting people back into football till some sensitive wee souls suddenly took umbrage at me using the term wee Jimmy as if it was something horrendous. Christ you would think it was there maw I was giving grief to instead of some numpty politician. I have no political affiliation whatsoever and yet still seem to get called a rangers supporting Orangeman for some reason. That's when things went off at a tangent. It's like when you slag off Celtic old firm fans immediately think your a rangers fan and vice versa. Seems to be impossible to hate both with a passion according to them . Politics in Scotland is exactly the same.

Digging a hole. Let it go.
  3. Don’t know why you’re so snobbish about the Daily Mail.
Its very liberal on personal matters and, under Geordie Grieg, much more centrist on politics
For folks with time available, it’s a good daily read which I top up with the Telegraph at weekends and a subscription for the Spectator.
    Some great reading there

    ‘Centrist’
    Interesting
  4. Last night, I was taking a walk along the river
And I saw him together with a young girl
And the look that he gave her made me shiver 'Cause he always used to look at me that way
Then I thought maybe I should walk right up to her and say
Ah-ha-ha, it's a game he likes to play Look into Blair Alstons eyes
    One look and you're hypnotized
He'll take your heart and you must pay the price
    Look into Blair Alston eyes
    You'll think you're in paradise
And one day you'll find out he wears a disguise
Don't look too deep into Blair Alstons eyes.

    Crap
  5. Us needing a win on the last day in front of big crowd is a recipe for disaster. I get what you mean that only needing a draw might lead to us changing tactics and making an arse of it, but the bottom line is we havent been great at breaking down the better teams in the league and always make a c**t of it when the big crowds are in, but our defence is relatively solid in terms of goals conceded. I'd much rather they came with all the pressure on them, and if neither side can find their shooting boots then we are the ones who go up.

Big crowds may have nothing to do with the run in. We could be playing all our games closed doors by then.
  6. It certainly reads as incredibly patronising behaviour from our new Chairman.
Question to those that were actually there is whether that’s the way it felt or just the way it’s coming across when written down?

Things written down always appear more dramatic. You miss the nuances of speech and tones of voice.

I’d never seen him before. He admitted at the start that he was very nervous by taking over the job but came across as the evening went on as capable and realistic of our position.

The general feeling of many at the end was that we were happier when we left than when we arrived.
  7. Our club has been gently going backwards for a number of years as the joy of reaching 3 Scottish cup finals in 18 Golden years raised the hopes for a full generation of fans, who began to believe this was normal for a Bairn. The older generation obviously had seen different days but you can't blame anybody for dreaming and expectation levels to rise to a new level. However, the pain of 3 defeats in these finals, especially the ICT one, combined with the demise of Brockville which has been replaced with the lesser intimidating TFS and owners who have made bad decision after bad decision has ripped the heart from our club. All of these decisions and the appointment of a number of defensive minded managers have all added to the mess we have become. We can only hope that we can get out of this league at the first attempt, the MSG sell to the correct person/people and we begin to move forward and fulfill our potential. The positive is that the unbelievable  loyalty shown by Bairns fans gives us some hope for the future. Think it's time all fans pulled in the same direction and pray everything on and off the park works out for the best.

You were doing all right until the praying bit.
