I know its very early in the season but this feels like a big game! With Spartans playing East Fife 3 points here would be very handy. As mentioned above the lack of goals is a bit of a worry but would take a scrappy 1-0 win....Header from Jack Murray!

Came on to type pretty much the same as all your points! Thought our back 3 were excellent again. They seem to compliment each other so well. what i would give to have a prime Shane Sutherland in this team. Think the way we play would suit him perfectly and a focal point in attack is all we are missing from being a very decent side just now. A good point though I would say against a side that will finish in the top 3 i would say.

Our set pieces have been nothing short of diabolical recently. Over-complicated and unnecessary routines that aren't even close to coming off. The one against Poland where we had a free kick well within shooting range for a left footer but ended up trying some sort of cut back that was never on straight to the Polish player nearly had me heading for the exit. I realise we have a lot of other problems right now but this is winding me up something chronic....

I reckon that's where we will be to be honest. I like the look of our signings and I'm certainly more optimistic than I have been but I still think we are going to concede goals while not having a goal scorer at the other end. I obviously hope I am wrong and everything clicks! Roll on Saturday!

Absolutely delighted with the signing of Mark Gallagher. And one I didn't see coming. A 2 year permanent deal for someone who looks like A) Will improve the squad now and B) has plenty room to improve is not like us! Was he out of contract? or have we paid a fee?

Hoped (but didn't think) we could get Mark back. Excellent signing. Especially on a permanent deal. As mentioned I'm sure some of these signings will turn out to be a bit meh but its just refreshing to see something different from the usual X,Y,Z released/on loan from county/caley.

I see we have signed him on a 1 year deal! Very strange if we have paid 9k to only sign him on a 1 year deal.

I'm not going to get too carried away yet. The last 2/3 seasons have been painfully bad and would take a huge change to get us up near the top of the league. However, I like the sound of the handful of signings we have made so far. As happy as I am to Have Golding back (purely for his workrate/pace/ball carrying) I don't see him being a 'goalscorer' and that's an area I think we may struggle since the loss of Hester. I would love to see us make a good start and hopefully with that a winning mentality and see how we go from there!

2 days have past and I'm still seething at the penalty decision more than anything just now. I cant believe more isn't being made of it and there hasn't been clarity on why it wasn't awarded. 1 kick away from the last 16. And if we had scored I genuinely believe we hold on. I feel for Clarke and the players in this respect

Its mental to think we were a terrible refereeing decision away from creating history and Clarke and the players being hero's. ( no one is going to convince me that wasn't a penalty). If you're auntie had baws and all that.... (I'm still too angry/emotional to discuss Clarke/tactics/players etc)

Has anyway flew into Dusseldorf Weeze? Arrive there tomorrow morning then onward to Cologne. Have heard mixed things about how easy it is to get to a train station from there!

From what I hear Jack Murray could be a very good signing. My only worry is that could be the transfer budget gone as he wouldn't have been cheap!

Before Friday I would have had Hanley in if fit but he looked off it. To be honest, I think bar Tierney all of our centre backs are much and such and unfortunately a bit Meh!

I celebrated McTominay's Instagram post last night like one of his goals! Phew!

Duisburg for me and my mate. 35 minute train to Cologne for the Swiss game (only out for this game). Had originally booked a dirt cheap hotel. The reviews had been giving me the fear for a while now though, so had a wee look yesterday and managed to find a much nicer looking/reviewed hotel for only 75 pound a night. Delighted with that considering how close were are getting to the tournament! Must have been cancellations because never saw it originally.

Big sigh of relief getting over the line on Saturday. I said on here under Price and then the appointment of Smith that we were 100% going down. Fair play to the new management team. Pretty much every new signing has added something. My only worry for next season would be the handful of players we have on loan. I don't think we would get any of them back full time so could be a bit of a rebuild needed again but Hale seems to be the type of guy that will be on the ball with regards to recruitment. A freshen up in the boardroom and in the dug out has been badly needed for 2/3 seasons and hopefully we can kick on now we have both!

There won't be 1 Scotland cap between these players.....

I've said on here before I think under Steve Clarkes reign its been 2 steps forward 1 step back normally. I'm hoping this period has just been one of the small steps back and I hope/think we will kick on again in June
