Something like this would be nice (minus the abysmal weather).
A 7 goal thriller? Since it looks like Accies will never score a goal again, the 7 goals will have to come from your lot meaning the pumping you hope for is duly delivered.

Thanks, @Caledonian, that is as good as I hoped for. The first line of the tale sets up the farce perfectly.

This sound like a great story, tell me more.Paying Alloa Athletic a transfer fee for Harry Rutherford in a case of mistaken identity. The deal was concluded in the mistaken belief that the player being purchased was Tommy Hutchison.
I'm imagining this starts with the Ayr manager making a call to Alloa enquiring after "the big lad with the moustache" or some other vague description.0 -
Pretty sure it is John Major [emoji1787]I like the rangers one with the proclaimers singer.0 -
For @djchapsticks and anyone else interested, this is how it played out with William Hill...
After withdrawing funds from WH, my balance showed £0.00 but once they had updated the result and my bets no longer showed as won, the balance went in to the negative. At that point, I assumed the game was up, it was all a bit of fun and nothing would ever reach my bank account. I was wrong, the money appeared in my bank account before I went to bed but the WH balance was still showing negative; I assumed, I would just burn the WH account and have to fund someone elses fur coat habit but wrong again. Today my WH balance was back at £0.00 and the money was still in my bank. I've deposited a couple of quid with WH and it was accepted so assume I'm not blacklisted; it is a very small amount of money they lost so I assume it is not worth their while upsetting me as they assume they will get the money back over time.
Looks like I have some free money that will be duly invested with the local curry house tomorrow. I suppose I owe @djchapsticks a beer for bringing the anomoly to my attention; if we're in the same league once we can go back to games, remind me about this debt and I'll hapily discharge it in a hostelry of your choice (as long as it is child friendly).

I'll report back tomorrow and let you know what happens.Unfortunately I doubt you will get paid out on it, especially with it being a mistake with the full time score. They will have it buried in their Ts&Cs that mistakes made by 3rd party providers can be rectified after the event.
Happened to me a few years ago a Scottish Cup game between Stirling Albion and someone, game was 1-0 to Stirling and they had the score at 0-0 and the price for Stirling Albion was 3/1, got my winnings and withdrew straight away but they just reversed the withdrawal into my account minus the winnings.1 -
They paid out on Anderson as first goalscorer too. I have hit the withdraw button!
You're kidding!!
Withdraw it now!5 -
Ha, they appear to have paid out on my big bet! Wonder how long that £6.50 will stay in my account before they realise the cock up.William Hill seem to be missing something...

Even if we had just signed Messi and Ibrahimović, my levels of optimism wouldn't be rising. These new signings better be good.0 -

As Coventry Saint says, this is fraud. The player and others involved in the scheme could be sent to prison but unless Alan Maitland has gone full-on Bernard Tapie, I can't see the club being penalised.Yeah. It's manipulation of in-play markets, and it's criminal and should be punished, but no match has been fixed here.
In this era of big data, getting involved in a plot like this is ultra risky. Have a read at this article from a few years back - https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/inside-secret-fight-against-match-fixing-football0 -
I was following the game during the week on Twitter and Superscoreboard said Ogkmpoe was the goalscorer. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as a genuine bad eyesight related mistake as both Moyo and Oggy were in the box when the ball hit the net.Check out the Daily Record and spot the racist mistake!
The Record, however has no excuses for this. After the BBC's Kobe/LeBron balls-up the other week, you would expect picture editors to be more vigilant.0 -
Found this article on Southwood/Reading's goalkeeper situation:

This link should work.
Gloomy vibes from that article.0 -

From the fourth tier of German football to the second tier in Belgium to the Scottish Premiership in a few months. Meteoric rise for young Adrian!
We'll have to wait and see how he performs on the NDP carpet before passing judgement. If we wasn't expected to get a place in the team, he wouldn't have been loaned out so there must be something there.
On the subject of loans, what's the script with that Adedoyin lad?

Govan clashes: Sturgeon condemns 'sectarian' disorder in Glasgow https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-49534599With all that's gone on this week, you would hope that everyone will be on their best behaviour but inevitably some knuckledraggers will summon the shame and the SFA and SPFL will do hee haw about it.

Economics 101 isn't a class Sean McHugh ever enrolled on. I'll leave this link in case he lurks here...Interesting to see the Accies SLO tweeting about the fact that a reduction in punters won't hurt Accies whatsoever. Not sure I understand how it wouldn't, especially if there's 1000 less 'Well fans attending.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_elasticity_of_demand
If the club did something like offering a £10 discount for buying a derby ticket with a stub from a previous game, I reckon they could get a pretty decent crowd for the Well game as well as encouraging more people to one of the previous games.
I long for a full, noisy, stand. I'm sure that experience would get some others hooked.
As for the price of kids tickets... I've heard the arguement that U16 season tickets are so cheap but for away fans or when I recently took family visiting from far away, it is blinking expensive especially compared to what they charge at Fir Park.
I could rant for a while more but I'll save it for another thread.3 -
He tried to control himself, but the seethe of rage almost choked him and gave strength to me.Thank f**k I watch Killie every week and not the Accies.0 -

The 205 came out in 1983 so that narrows the date range quite a bit.The current cladding was put up around 83 or 84 so before then. I can remember when it was like that!1

I normally enjoy a Killie away day and the kid is a fan of empire biscuits with squirrels on them. After the Thistle debacle, however, the lure of baked goods is not strong enough to tempt me down the A77 today.
