One typo doesn't establish illiteracy. You on the other hand are an unpleasant racist with your comments re Turkish people. Clearly you weren't in Turkey on our previous Europa league visit or you would know that the Turkish fans are friendly and welcoming.and that many Saints fans  who were on that trip wouldn't want you anywhere near our club

Not for St Johnstone it’s not, Stevie May brings much more than just the football ability to Saints, it’s hard to overstate just how well known he is in Perth, almost a signing that transcends football. He also is a huge character which we are short of just now, and would get the fans back on side very quickly.

If Kane Hemmings grows beautiful wavy locks, wins Saints the Scottish Cup and turns in to a shagger then we can talk, but until then Stevie May is always going to be the best target for us.

May has had five years of failure and a horrendous knee injury which is probably a major contributory factor in his calamitous loss of form yet you are prepared to gamble a large part of the club's capital resource  based on a romantic notion. There will then be no budget for much needed reinforcements in defence and midfield and if May's loss of form continues what then?

  3. We have become the joke team of the season and it's all down to wee bulletproof who couldnt negotiate a shag in a brothel The crap relationship between him and his manager extends right back to the cup final and has caused a gradual decline in performance of the team. May would have signed a further deal with us after the cup final but Bulletproof delayed and delayed so Stevie left       Sound familiar it should  because the same nonsense has happened again. Time to stop this romantic nonsense Steve Brown will take this club back down to the 1985 level because he has no financial clue  this is a man whose business has gone bust before  and he has no idea of how a football club works check out the number of loyal staff who have left  and the number of sponsors who no longer invest

    Serious answer, May.

Tragic answer don,t know what,s worse misty-eyed fans like you who completely ignore statistics  or complete business incompetents like Brown and Wright who have presided over the worst close season since the John Connolly managerial fiasco. Do you see a posse of clubs rushing to sign May and if not why not.? Because he,s not worth the risk except to a club with no scouting system and no prospects of an alternative and the negotiating skills of Boris Johnson

Not sure I totally agree. Unlike Paton I think there's enough of a player in Callachan to be a utility Davidson. Only just mind. His touch can be poor but his distribution can be impressive at times. He doesn't always seem to be in the right place though. Anyway the jury is still out for me.

Really then Saints can't have very good negotiators can they ? The deal was done last week

Agree with all the other comments. McCann was the better of the 2, and Davidson only really came to life when he got forward. He did well in his usual role of winning balls in the air though.

Having had time to calm down a bit I'm still as frustrated. No excuses but that pitch was a factor. Time after time our touch players (particularly MoH) really struggled with the ball sticking when they were trying to play little lay-offs. It was noticable how much harder and quicker the passing was by Montrose. Also, it seemed a really narrow pitch to me so I'm not sure that 5 across the middle helped us. We seemed to get tangled up trying to go through the middle with too many bodies (like a rugby game at times), we had nothing out wide because we couldn't get behind or run through their (very good) full backs. And long ball wasn't an option as they always had 2 on Hendry who couldn't do the hold-up play a la Tony Watt.

Out-played, out-fought and out-thought all over the park really.

edit: Also their substitutions were more impactful. They took off the tall target man CF that to be fair Kerr was dealing with pretty well, and started to push wide through the channels more, particularly the Swanson/Tanser weaker side. It was staggeringly obvious how much MoH was tracking back compared to Danny. Obviously we had nothing on the bench that gave Tommy options.

I still reckon that we will see more signings this window..I think that Anderson and McMillan will go and at least one maybe two more will come in

Can I confess to some confusion regarding all this premature ejaculation  regarding unconfirmed signings which to date have never been confirmed officially. Have you all been partying with SLF.
