McGowan seems on paper a ‘too good to turn down’ certainly from mcpakes perspective, I don’t feel midfield was an area we were deliberately trying to add bodies too.

Quite interesting to see the Dundee fans views and how a few have talked of his different attributes and how that could fit into our current midfield.  I’ve seen DM which puts the generally highly regarded Hamilton at risk, keeps things ticking which is chalmers role that he has done well enough to gain a new contract, drives forward where you would give that to Todd or mochrie and then playing within a supporting midfield role where the other 3 younger loanes play.

What job does he take? Does it change week to week?

He will definitely start most if not every game especially with Mcpake. I've no doubt you guys will love him. Comes across a raging madman on the pitch but been at dens for 8 years and over 300 games and always been one of the most respected in the dressing room.

He is very tidy on the ball, lovely in tight spaces and in and around the box. Doesnt have the legs anymore to play box to box but I'd be absolutely shocked if he doesn't piss league 1 even at 34. I'd still have him in our starting 11.

    Enjoy the league title 😀

  2. Gowser will absolutely stroll this league and has been fit for a while now.

Always gives 100%, will demand it from his team mates in the pitch and has a winners mentality. Very good on the ball in tight spaces so watch out for his trademark turn. Will keep it positive, always looking to make things happen and will most likely play in the middle/ just off a striker for you.

I wanted him back in our starting 11 and was still one of our best players at the start of the season.

Barring injury he will be the best player in the league until the end of the season I'd imagine.

Good luck to the wee madman!

  3. The 2 subs of Williamson and Jak changed the game today for me. Sam fishers pressing and tackle infront of the dugout was outstanding which set up the goal for Mcmullan to cross for Jak. Good finish from Williamson for the first and what a run from the new left back to set up Sweeney.

Thought Thomas upfront was good all afternoon, McMullan good for the most part and probably shaded MOTM but defensively I thought we looked good all afternoon and knew we would win the game if we got the 1st goal.

Jak outstanding when he came on too. Massive win and hopefully the type of win that allows us to go and push on now and get this league won.

I’d have Sharp in, just to upset Ludo and I think it’s tough leaving Mulligan out. McCowan was shite today, possibly put Cameron in there instead. Don’t think it matters which side he plays on.

Yeah I'd be happy with Mulligan in the center. Hate him being played as a winger he is so much better ce real driving with the ball. Cameron for McCowan is fair too

  5.                             Legzdins

    French    Sweeney  Ashcroft   Marshall

                                   Byrne

                 Gowser              Cameron

That to me is our best team and dont change it!

I have no shame in admitting I was on the kingsway yesterday, what’s your problem with that ?
im from the older generation that’s knows how to show respect

To a paedophile protector and a lady from a multi billionaire family who set on golden throne telling us every year we need to give more to the people that need it. They live in literal palaces while happy to sit back while food banks, suicide rates and cost of living is at an almost record high. Hospital appointments have been cancelled on the 19th but yeah let's show our respect.

Reckon we have a chance of getting McInnes if McPake goes in the summer? Wishful thinking that McPake will go but some interesting back story with McInnes.

He applied for our job when Alan Kernaghan was punted and Alex Rae was chosen over him. He solidfied St Johnstone into the side they are now by getting them to the top flight and progressing them until he was poached by Bristol City. Always been a case of, 'could have been us'.

Not a chance lol. He will get a job in England

By all accounts he's a stand-up guy and I think his personal fitness coaching for free is a nice thing and has probably helped out a fair few, but as a footballer he's just clearly not up to the task at this level. Like the guy, just never want to see him on the team sheet.

It's not free and hes a brilliant mentor and his support is brilliant. Really looks out for you and is always a text/phonecall away if you ever need anything from him. 100% recommend.

I'll not comment on anything football related.....
