Tranent's new lights successfully tested this evening. Well done to them.

Looks brilliant can’t wait to watch a game under the lights. Hope the club sort a glamour team for our first match. These guys who work tirelessly for the club should be very proud of themselves. I sincerely hope their hard work is rewarded with a SFA license. Surely that is a formality now!

  2. A game where we won the points but certainly never deserved IMO. Linlithgow were poor in certain areas of the park, some of their players are just not good enough to be pulling on the jersey. They won’t go down but certainly a rebuilding job for next year. We are creating decent chances but again not taking them. Formation didn’t work today and I thought we showed them to much respect. I genuinely believe we are one of the best footballing teams in the league, but if you said that to a mussy fan or Linlithgow fan they would piss themselves laughing after past few weeks. Calvin needs to decide on his best formation and stick to it. To much changing from one to another.

Looking forward to another derby on Saturday. Can only commend the committee, supporters and team for the transformation of the ground and facilities over the last 2/3 years. It really is a good venue to visit on a Saturday afternoon. Will be another tough game for Dunbar but hopefully recent results against Tranent will give them a bit of confidence.

Tranent on paper, very strong, and favourites for the game. However, maybe it is the emotion of a local derby, but Dunbar have matched the gulf in quality in recent times.

    Mon the Seasiders! :)

The boys on the committee have done a great job, the place is unrecognisable.

Always good old fashion type junior games against Dunbar. I can’t remember the last time we beat Dunbar? I certainly wouldn’t say a huge gulf in class, we all know anybody can beat anybody and it isn’t seen as a surprise. Hope you enjoy the game on Saturday.

hopefully not to much more rain, the pitch has struggled this year and didn’t  look its usual tip top against Camelon considering no game had been played on it for 6/8 weeks. I had heard there is a problem with drainage hopefully this has been resolved!

What a horrible saying and thought!!

Thought we had moved away from this topic, but there you go!

Three 0-0 draws, including Burgh v Tranent show (I think) how tough and close the Premier League is this season. What will make the outcomes at top/bottom come end of the season, is those teams who make less mistakes.

Burgh’s away league record is worst in all East of Scotland leagues, which is hugely disappointing. However, the saving grace is that our home league record is amongst the best in the Premier League. As those teams in the bottom 7 come more bunched up, Burgh have to address our away record.

Sorry CJ but why you having a pop at Belter. It’s your fellow weirdo of a mussy fan who needs to lay of the medication. Can probably imagine the type. Sad, lonely, jealous old man who is absolutely crackles.. Cuddling a cup, his hard drive needs checking.  4 or 5 of the top teams in our league weren’t even in the cup, great achievement all the same but I think you are barking up the wrong tree pal!

0-0. Balance of play; a draw was a fair result.

Ian Black does not help himself on the field of play! What annoyed me most though, was at the end of the match. When the referee blew the full time whistle, players shook hands - except Blackie, who just turned and walked towards the dressing room. What is all that about?

Sums him up if truth be told. He’s a wage thief at the club currently IMO. Surprised Calvin put him on, he weakened us last 20 when he come on. Great crowd and sceptical for a local derby.  I don’t think Tranent could have played any worse and mussy probably were at the top of there game. No excuses but we had a lot of players missing, overall a draw was a fair result. The pitch was a leveller, looked ok but when you got closer it was a mud bath, you could see players losing there standing foot when trying to pass the ball.  We are spoiled at Tranent with the surface we have. Good luck to mussy for the remainder of the season, defo in a false league position.

  6. Hopefully the boys can get a positive result tomorrow. Musselburgh have a very good home record but hopefully we can get all 3 points. Would expect a fair few fans to make the short journey down to OB!

I am staying well away from this discussion BigT!!

Looking forward to Saturday’s match! It is a match both teams want/ need to win for different reasons and can’t see anything other than a difficult match to predict!

In the meantime, I hope you have a happy New Year when it comes and we can renew rivalries on Saturday!

Lol I don’t blame you mate. A Philadelphia lawyer would do the same.

massive game on Saturday, a derby and both teams desperate for the points. Looking forward to seeing a few old faces at OB and good banter on Saturday.

HNY to you and your family. All the best.

We don't tend to have zips up the back outside the Tranent page.

Sorry you have lost me mate. You clearly believe or know something I don’t. Can’t be arsed having a debate/discussion  with someone who cant back up what they are saying. Maybe take a leaf from your fellow supporter  Casey J, at least he has a good discussion. The is morse code with you!

You're the one naming names mate.  Get over yourself yourself.

Well your making comment on a Tranent page, at least follow it through with who and when. Just a strange comment considering Calvin had left Mussy and we still had a manager. You saying the Tranent board were lining up a new gaffer behind the old ones back? Anything is possible I suppose but I would be surprised, your obviously know so why not say.

Heh heh.  If I was a Tranent fan I'd be careful not to be throwing stones out of the poaching managers glass house.

You saying Tranent pouched Calvin from Musselburgh?? I think I would be right in saying we still had a manager when Calvin walked from Mussy, so we pouched a manager that never had a job. You just post a lot of bull mate, get over yourself.

Aye but none of the playing staff were . Ps yous only went back to poach our manager 😂

Lol... they are welcome to him. Only reason they wanted Christie is because he is like the old gaffer Alan, pays for transfer fees and players wages because they can’t afford too. Max done ok at Tranent but I’d much rather watch the style of football we are playing under Calvin. Surprised Camelon never come back, seem a respectful team... poor show if they didn’t.

Regardless of the performance it was a fantastic result, CJ. I couldn't be there so look forward to your match report. 👌

No doubt about it Mussy have a fantastic home record. I fear next week, one things for sure it will be a good football match.  2 teams who try and play football, both managers have the same style. I would take a point now.

Yeh I thought we were better team for most of first half. Didnt make use of getting behind ur number 3 who was pushed up a lot. 2nd half we looked like we lacked belief. Lost the midfield battle then the shape went. I thought first half you were their for the taking. 2nd half tranent came out and bossed it. Same as at carmuirs your missed chances. 2ns goal came from a mistake and failure to close down. Tranent are the best team we have played

First half Tranent looked dangerous on the break but Camelon were the better side. A strong wind was in your favour and we struggled to get out. 1-1 and half time couldn’t come quick enough. Second half we totally dominated the game and should have scored a few more. Camelon are a top side and if they can keep there players for next season they will be a serious title contenders IMO, all the best mate.

  14. Thanks for the highlights, didn’t make the game, Penicuik a top team and deserved the win on what I seen! Belter 1 were you there? Was is a true reflection 2 nil? Hard  league something we haven’t experienced before. If we can finish top 4/5 imo it will be a good season.

  15. Well deserved 3 points yesterday, first half we were top drawer and should have been out of sight. We weren’t and the last 15 mins were nail biting. Watched the highlights back, Meikle is kidding himself on ffs. I get he’s hanging with the skin of his teeth but a game of 2 halves come on son!! Not even the diehard Whitehill fan could argue we were by far the best team. What I would say is big improvements to the ground in general and a club I hope stays in the league and gets the lights they need to remain license holders. All the best boys.

  16. Disappointing not to have got 3 points especially with the big guns all dropping points apart from HOB. However after going down to 10 men early in the second half a draw is probably a fair result. Donaldson booked then another silly tackle puts us in a poor situation when we are starting to dominate the game. Both teams had chances to claim the victory, must say under the conditions it was a great second half, both teams really going for it. Ally had his best game for the club, 2 outstanding stops and his handling was top notch but the 2 in the middle skip and miller are on a different level. Both could play FL imo the committee and manager will do well to get them tied down on long term deals, I really hope they do.

  17. Outstanding performance from Tranent today. Great first half, not many teams in the league couldn’t  cope with us when we are playing like that. Even better when you consider we were down to our barebones.

  18. Broxburn are no doubt better than today’s showing, first half it could have got embarrassing for them, again to many easy chances missed from us! Second half a mixture of us sitting back and Broxburn pegging us back without really creating to many chances. We always looked lively on the counter. Some top performance from a number of players playing out of position, hats of to Calvin for getting the team to perform the way they did with a threadbare squad. No doubt about it, we are very lucky to have him as our Manager.

Tranent (smaller teams), c'mon times have changed Faceman, Musselburgh are currently in the inside lane of EOS football and whether you except it or not teams like Tranent have the indicator on and are currently cruising along the outside lane.

Think you would need to be half daft to come away with a statement like that Faceman!! Surely 🎣

Mussy are a good club with big potential, wouldn’t say they are in the slow lane!! However the current defence is certainly in the hard shoulder with the hazards on!!
