  1. Lewis Milne was mentioned as leaving Montrose in the same post as Whatley & Allan. If Whatley and Allan are rumoured to be joining us could we be signing the trio? Lewis did well for us last time he was at the club. To clarify, I have no inside knowledge so doing it for pure speculation.
  2. In truth Danny Denholm must be one of the most decorated players in Scottish Lower League football with 3 league winners' medals and 5 (?) promotions. He also has a habit of winning goal of the season awards too. However, Forfar falls outwith the 1 hour radius of Edinburgh, so whilst I'd welcome him back I don't think he'd be interested.
  3. Looking at Ben Armour's Twitter it appears he's away and not staying on.
  4. The Munro criticism always comes down to two things. He is prone to absent mindedness, so can make glaring mistakes. Also his pass completion (unless it's to his CB partner or GK) is horrendous as he just hoofs it. However, his pros are leadership (will likely be club captain after Slater's departure) ability to win headers and he's strong. He also has been a Forfar player for quite awhile, second only to McCallum (with Matty being released). Andy Munro is totally suited to playing centre back for a Scottish League 1/2 team. Should he have won Away Player & make the TOTY? Probably not, but for all big Andy's faults he will be an influential player for us next season.
  5. I'm pretty sure Seb Ross signed an 18 month deal when he joined in January.
  6. Very dull so far. No chance Forfar will do anything but put 10 men behind the ball after Nditi's "dive."
  7. Top marks for the the thread name A rested EF v a no longer bothered Forfar. Not sounding like the game is going to be cracker.
  8. Watching old highlights of happier times I do vaguely remember Mark Stowe being on trial for the club.
  9. Andy Munro and Craig Slater named in the PFA's League Two team of the year. Interesting how different the opinion of Andy Munro is from Forfar fans and those outwith Forfar Athletic. Craig Slater, no surprises there.
  10. A rebuild is needed as has been said. But other than Stef are there any definitive confirmations of players leaving/released (Slater likely going to Arbroath but there's no confirmation yet)?
  11. Don't recall abuse to Edinburgh fans when they first came up (have had some grief since, with the stadium and renaming situation) Cove and Kelty were called moneybags and told they'd spent their way to the championships.
  12. So on par or above Matty then, in terms of putting the ball in the back of the net.
  13. Thomson & Nditi aren't too bad, hopefully a high quality left back who can cross (Luke Strachan esq) will be on Ray's summer shopping list.
  14. We all expect Slater to go east. Flanny could sign a new deal. I reckon Hutchinson will be kept at United and loaned to a lower championship/top league one side.
  15. I was about to create a keep, bin, undecided post but I agree with all of @fafc1885 comments so not needed now
  16. Now that we have confirmed safety do you think the boys didn't put in the effort into today?
  17. I think Annan will snatch 3rd. As for 4th that's harder to predict. I think Forfar will keep chipping away. We don't lose many matches under Ray so should scrape into 4th.
  18. Highlights, well if you can call them that. https://youtu.be/0pbg6FQ_lp8
  19. If we get at least one more point then we're mathematically safe. But as @RateofKnots said our goal difference would have to take some plummeting for us to finish 10th now.
  20. 0-0 Not great but not a bad result either. Thanks to other results we stay 4th.
  21. No Slater or Hutchinson. Could be a tough game for us.
  22. Lull them into a false sense of security If that is the genuine reason then I guess we'll come expect a similar performance to today and Wednesday. Drivel and dismal first half, big improvements in the following 45'.
