  1. That wasn't a match between League One and League Two sides. It was Championship versus lower Highland League.
  2. I'm going to guess 2-0 to the Pars. What's everyone else's predictions?
  3. Cup weekend. Suppose that'll be McKinnon's first defeat as Forfar boss. However, I am confident we won't get smashed 6-0 like this summer.
  4. To the Bonnyrigg fans singing "Forfar are going down" after the match... You are probably correct. It is destined to be a Brechin v Forfar playoff, isn't it!
  5. Playing some decent stuff but as usual no cutting edge. Stef and Flanagan doing well so far.
  6. Better than Harkins! Although looks like very little option in midfield for him to be fair. It's him or Docherty so, Hutton probably edges it. Glad Slater is back.
  7. Bonnyrigg in poor form, so hopefully the new manager bounce will take effect and we grab the win. Be interesting if we'll see many changes to the starting 11 and/or formation.
  8. I only said Lennon as he's definitely available. I'd like Weir but as other posters have said it's highly unlikely he'd rejoin us, also having signed a recent contract with Elgin I'd imagine he'd be an expensive option.
  9. Don't the board meet every Monday? So not necessarily a "fire the manager meeting."
  10. The Courier have posted an article showing many of the stats we already know. We've only won 1 home game this season and that was on matchday 2! https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/3858202/forfar-athletics-dismal-season-numbers-gary-irvine/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  11. I remember them both signing new deals in the summer (ahead of our "title push"). But can't remember if it was a 1 or 2 year extension, or what was the length of their previous contracts.
  12. Would Danny Lennon be interested? Not saying he'll be Forfar's saviour but he's the only experienced manager I can think of who might go for a part-time club like us. Gary Bollan is out of work but that's a definite no! But other than that (in the unlikely event) they were to sack the Garys the next manager would likely be a recently retired player embarking on his first foray into management, which could be a miracle or a disaster, so worth a punt? Also, I'm no financial expert but how much would it cost the club to sever their contracts, could that be a reason the board don't want to fire?
  13. Even 3-1 Annan looks unlikely, Annan can get another but we're just useless. With Harkins in the heart of midfield it's no surprise.
  14. 2 teams in not great form. Anyone's guess.
  15. 3-1 who? Does either team have the ability to score 3 goals in a game? I know Forfar scored 3 in the cup, but in the league?
  16. With two wins on the bounce (yes Elgin was dire, and Kilwinning were 2 leagues below) it looks like 4-2-3-1 could be the formation for Forfar. Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of Hutton and Docherty they do seem to work well together in front of the defence and most likely give more stability than Moore or Jack would in that role. However, Matty should not be starting on the RW Thomson, Hanratty (or Flanagan if he wasn't injured and lacking in fitness) are way better options. Ferguson hasn't done much to impress yet but between him, Armour and Matty there's not much quality there anyway. I like Stef on the left with him cutting inside allowing Brindley to overlap him as Brindley is happier further forward (still not convinced by his defensive ability) and getting those crosses in (or if Saturday is anything to go by just let him run!) It's obvious Gary Irvine is going nowhere so whilst our season is still dreadful, hopefully it'll become slightly less grim.
  17. Indeed, what a tremendous cup run we had. Beating a team 2 divisions below us and then we'll get slapped silly by a team in the league above.
