Yep. FSS Player of the Year, Junior Bairns POTY, Players POTY, Fans POTY & goal of the season. (Montrose I think).

On the womens side, Iona Bridges won POTY, Ella Stewart breakthrough POTY (now a first teamer while still a schoolgirl and a cracking wee 'baller) and Outstanding Achievement went to Rachel Pirie. The women will have their own private awards night for players and staff after the season is over, hence why the categories are a little different from the men.

On the recognition side of things, Jean Sneddon got a Lifetime Achievement, Joe Wallace (retiring groundsman) an Outstanding Contribution and Robert Cox (longstanding volunteer and current boardroom attendant) Special Recognition.

The Foundation did similar awards for some of their people.

Club staff are likely all off today but I'd assume there will be announcements, stories and pics uploaded tomorrow.

Great to hear Jean getting recognition, she is a lovely person who has given so much to our club. It’s great to see the club recognising the efforts of volunteers and shows how much the new regime value the efforts of those that give up their time for our club.

  2. I haven’t got an issue with fans of other clubs coming to our games, as long as it doesn’t stop regulars getting tickets. My mate is a cream bun but comes to maybe 10 of our games a season, he has done this for years as his laddies are both Bairns fans. He also comes to hospitality with me when I go for the day out and it’s him who buys his laddies Falkirk tops when they come out. I’m no lover of either side of the ugly sisters but it’s money into the coffers and who knows some of them might see the light.

I said to my mate pre game I'd take three draws but we are better than that.

The red card the biggest factor in the result yesterday. 5 or so yr ago Col might have got a yellow for the challenge so no complaints. The ref did have a bit of a mare tho...blowing for fouls that weren't and some that were stone wall yellow card ones and no yellow card followed.

Although our record v Kelty this season has been superb, they have caused problems in the games we have romped to wins. They probably can feel hard done by with just a point from the game but we are the champions for a reason.

One down two to go, I'd still take two more draws which would perhaps feel like whimpering towards unbeatables tag after what we have achieved so far, but I don't care, I just really want it

Anyone know if Col gets a one or two match ban ?

2 game ban apparently so that’s his season over 😩

Highlights missing bit chunks of the game?  Was hoping to see Taits goal line clearance again and they hit the bar once or twice too which seem to be missing, not to mention our first goal!

Couldn't really see the Tait clearance well from where I'm sitting but it looked miraculous it stayed out at the time.

You can see Tait’s clearance in the highlights, it looked absolutely superb. Happened really fast but looks like he caught the ball between his legs on the goal line turned away from goal, got up and booted it to f**k away, an act of brilliance 😁

Can’t believe this season is going to be over soon. I really don’t want it to.

I’m the same, best season ever in my 50 or so years of following the Bairns. I had a wee health scare just after Xmas that thankfully turned out not as bad as it could have and the pleasure/joy this team have given me has at times took my mind away from worrying about what could be.

As others have posted I genuinely love this team and this season will live in the memory forever no matter how the next two games go. Every single player , member of the management team and training staff are superstars and I can’t thank them enough for season 23/24. Oh and the Ultras have been like the cherry on the cake, they are a massive part of how it has all panned out.

    COYB

  6. I’d take McIver every day of the week ahead of Burrell, McIver works his socks off and does shed loads more work which leads to goals for others, Burrell wouldn’t do that.

I’m actually pissed off, the team of the year should be eleven Falkirk players, no other c**t has laid a glove on us and big Ross has been a massive part of what we’ve achieved.

The prize freeze was to Incentivise people to come along after the catastrophic end to…well pretty much every season in this league.  It worked.  We got big numbers to keep coming, pay in advance and fund some good improvements to the squad.

Are you seriously suggesting the club should renege on that promise?  Wow.

I think the way they have done it is probably the right way. They have kept their promise and have given an option to those who want/can afford to give more. If we were fortunate enough to go up to the top flight then I think we would all expect a decent increase in ST prices.

  8. I get the thinking with regards to the freezing of the ST prices but I wouldn’t have minded say a £25 rise or something like that. I won’t be going down the extra £60 option as my wife is getting a ST for the first time in a while so that would be an extra £120 and I also pay £40 a month to FSS and £10 to the  1876 monthly draw. If I paid the extra £120 then I’d probably cut my FSS to £30 a month but I think it’s going to the same budget anyway.

Throw in merchandise and my visits to hospitality in a season and  I think that I’m doing my bit to help the club, as are probably most of us.

  9. I think the feel good factor,  and what we are building at Falkirk FC could be a big factor in getting new players to come to the club and convincing others to stay. There is a lot to be said about being happy in your work, our players certainly look happy. There is a buzz about the place the likes of which I’ve never seen before. Everyone connected to the club from players, staff, fans, board all seem to be pulling in the same direction. It’s a good time to be a Bairn.

If you look at those average attendances the main beneficiaries of the Navy Blue Pound were Hamilton and Stirling with 3,400 and 3,000 Falkirk fans respectively boosting their figures. Without our fans Hamilton's average attendance would only be 1065 and Stirling's would only be 867. I've previously mentioned how we boosted Montrose's figure when 2,400 Bairns fans visited.

Yeah, it’s no surprise we are so loved by the fans of all these other clubs 🤣
