A couple of things happened on Sunday that made me cheerful ( Ronaldo acoring a late winner had the counter effect) After seeing my first kingfisher ever a couple of weeks ago i stopped to watch it fish (in exactly the same spot a watched an otter a few weeks ago....although probably after different sizes of fish) When watching the Scotland game my Ukranian guests came home and presented me with a signed football from their national team (got the lot....Mudryk, Yarmolenko..Zinchenko) Think they got it via Dobryk who now plays for Roma. Most unexpected

The thing I struggle to understand is that commentators and co-commentators just have to find a culprit. I didnt think Gunn could have saved Polands first goal and I didnt necessarily think McKenna was at fault at Portugals winner.

I dont see how you can describe Portugal as mediocre.

Aberdeen is absolutely a hub for offshore wind. Too far away from major current projects - I assume the Greenvolt news passed you by. Over the next 6 or 7 years we will see around 70% of new developments (ScotWind and INTOG) installed within about 100 miles of the city. To be honest I was not overly fussed about the location of GB Energy as I do not think it will provide the jobs many believe. In fact no one really knows what it is going to do.....other than be an investment vehicle...which will provide a few paper pushing jobs. I am more excited by developments at our ports and the potential for real manufacturing jobs coming to Scotland - be that floating sub-structures, dynamic cables, moorings and anchor systems...thats where the jobs are and I am sure GB Energy can play a relatively small part in allowing this to happen. I work in floating wind and pretty much each week we have foreign delegations (Had State of Oregon two weeks ago, Japanese last week and next) coming to Aberdeen to understand more about our existing supply chain (transitioning from oil and gas).....if we can make this work there will be numerous export opportunities for our supply chain. Lets welcome any positive news irrespective of where the brass plate is located. -
Shite for sale, or free, on the internet.

Heart of Midlothian - 2024/25 European Tour
Caledonian1 replied to Elixir's topic in Scots in Europe
Hearts are absolutely brutal....some terrible players who should be no where near the SPFL.........so many diddie foreign players who add nothing. -
They have drawn last years Champions league finalists and winners of the Europa League...however i am not sure they could have hand picked a better set of home fixtures.....away games not so much ( but they dinna win them anyway so free hits.....)

yup, what a sickner.....he was absolutely pivotal to our early qualifying performances an incredibly important player for Scotland....gutted. He must have ruptured his hamstring....sounds as if pushing it too much in training. Nathan.....over to you.....get yersel fit and in the dodgy Everton side.
