  1. There was a guy on tv a few years ago - think it was prime time on a Saturday night. He was absolutely hillarious and had everyone talking about him the next day. Brilliant story teller and un-expected punchlines. Hasnt been seen much in public or tv since. Ah, just remembered who it was, not sure if it was just his stage name but he was called Prince Andrew. Oh looks as if he is making a comeback on Netflix - "And if anyone has forgotten the excruciating Newsnight interview, Netflix is soon turning it into a film, which once again will have people talking about not sweating and pizzas. He's gone from a working royal to the Woking royal."
  2. He can be funny but you have to trawl through 60 minutes of utter guff to find the funny minute.
  3. I do like the Office (UK and US) so whilst in London with work four years ago I thiought I would go and see Gervais at the Hammersmith Apollo. It was dreadful and I was quite pleased when it finished - got on the tube across the road along with loads of others who had exited the Apollo. What struck me was no one who had just seen the show was talking about it to their pals - all the conversations were more mundane along the lines of "what did you have for your tea tonight" A lot of his act was based on saying the C word outloud.........even that sounded wierd and completely un-natural. I very rarely go to see comedians live but it is rather tragic that I will never see Sean Locke again. He was superb.
  4. Totally agree. I am sure I heard English say "I can't believe we are still talking about this (VAR)" Well don't....it;s that easy
  5. Kenny McIntyre comes on after the news - "the top clubs are on their winter break but there is plenty VAR discussion...." click off
  6. Started last season at 9.0 and finished at 8.6 - very happy with that as early season form suggested that I would be up around 11 or 12. Was determined to win something last season and very pleased to have won our order of merit (although thats more than likely down to playing in vast majority of medals) Didnt want a repeat of the previous season where I ended up handing out the trophies at our prizegiving night. I never play through the winter and suspect the clubs won't come out of the cupboard until the first medal at the beginning of April. Would love to win a match-play competition this coming season but thats a long shot. Will target getting down to my lowest ever handicap - got to 6.8 a couple seasons ago (although never even noticed until a few months later - thought I was 6.9) Reasonably confident of achieving this as I have new driver (second hand but new to me) which eradicated a slice i had developed earlier in the season. My short game has always been decent - chipping seems to get better the more I play (and living on my course I will play 5 or 6 times a week) I have spent a fair bit of this week entering or enquiring about Opens - wouldnt mind a decent win in one of those - a couple third places last year. Unfortunately Monifieth no longer seem to have an Open in August - always loved that one as the course seems to suit my game - nothing will top winning the handicap section about 4 years ago after swimming to the course from Fife (yes you read that correctly)
  7. Reminds me of this Cardiff v Glasgow rugby match a few years ago........
  8. Iritates me just as much...."just about crossed the line".......aye, it clearly did cross the line, fit ye on aboot.
  9. Very unusual to see two teams wearing stripes.....especially in a day and age when teams wear ridiculous second and third strips for no apparent reason
  10. Not sure what Scotland world cup squads of the 70's were taking(other than Willie Johnston) but @molotov selections seem to suggest that it had a delay of 45-50 years and would result in departure from this life (11 or more of his team went to 74 or 78 finals)
  11. One look at the appropriately named @hatchetman list suggests that it is going to be an incredibly busy year for Heads of State - so many funerals to attend. Might be an idea to just have one big event and get everyone together as we say goodbye to Trump, Charles III, Zelensky, Putin (might be a different attendeee list)

Might be an idea to just have one big event and get everyone together as we say goodbye to Trump, Charles III, Zelensky, Boris Johnson, Ian Paisley Jnr and Putin (might be a different attendeee list)
  13. My first year doing Dead Pool. I assumed that you couldnt pick those who were terminally ill? I must be wrong.
  14. Might be "10 years out of date" for you but might be something new and worth a try for others.. There may be people who are 19 now that wish to reduce what they consider to be problem drinking - they were only 9 years old back when when you may have considered it a wothwhile exercise. I find it pathetic that you find it pathetic.
  15. I would rather he stayed with Real Sociedad - he will still be playing Champions League there and not sure he could now do that for another team in the same season (with Arsenal)
  16. Absolutely. Love to see what wildlife existed then. Would also like to witness the Romans in Scotland - just how much more advanced they were and see them piss aff never to return
  17. Tremendous game on Viaplay - currently half time and Girona 3 Atletico Madrid 2. Watching this on my tv and darts on my laptop. Morata is having a masterclass in finishing - just denied his hat trick as offside by half a yard.
  18. Why do the tabloids refer to these gangsters as "Hoods" Not a term you ever see or hear in real life....not even on tv. Been reading up about the video messages sent to his big rival....why on earth do they have each others phone numbers? They only kill their own.....bless 'em
  19. Oh wow....goalie completely misjudges flight of the ball and decides to put a hand to it....even though about 10 yards out of the box - straight red
  20. just switched on Real Sociedad v Alaves (Viaplay 6.15pm kick off) Tierney playing - took a really sore one - dead leg in first 15 seconds....playing on and seems fine but he seems to attract such reckless challenges for no apparent reason
  21. I used to always listen to Sportsound but afraid I have now given up. Under McIntryre it's just incredibly predictable, boring and tedious - a tabloid version of what it used to be. Probably won't listen again until they get a decent host.......not holding out too much hope on that happening.
  22. If the robot is the brunette on the left........yup pretty good chance....can I get her on Amazon?
  23. I did (well Mone at least)
  24. I have noticed that Brentford are going through a terrible run and it seems to have coincided with Aaron Hickey's absence - is he out for long? havent seen anything online regarding his injury. I just think Hickey is a tremendous footballer and clearly Brentford miss him - as did Scotland when he wasnt available.
