Other than very obviously Ayo's short back header on Saturday for the 5th, how many are you laying at the feet of the centre halves as a matter of interest?
So you think our 2 CB's are solid?
Any time Rath attacked, Buchanans backside collapsed. We were at home against the newly promoted team and he looked like he was shitting it.
We wouldn't have conceded 5 if we had 2 better CB's playing instead that's for sure. It doesn't matter that Ayo was directly to blame for only 1 of the goals because him and Buchanan both made constant mistakes for 90 minutes. Against a better team - I fear 5 won't be the most we concede in one game this season.

This page is turning into an echo chamber. Same entries posted cyclically, in typical knicker wetting fashion.
My take on league campaign is that after 2 games we are far easier on the eye than any of the previous 3 seasons. Fitzpatrick and Shields both direct, but perhaps lack some finesse and awareness. This will come. The 2 Centre backs are solid, in my opinion, and a threat at the other end. Maxwell is excellent going forward and nortey seems very accomplished going forward also. Both perhaps lack defensive instinct at this stage. Dobbie and East I think will develop a good partnership. My biggest concern in short term is our lack of ability in controlling midfield. I've watched 3 matches and we are lightweight here. Obeleye and buchanan would be more comfortable with a holding midfielder in front of them.
It seems to me that they try to play ball from the back, and occasionally go long, but not nearly as horrific as the recent past.
Whilst I agree that not to have won in 2020 seems untenable, this team is relatively new, and I think patience may pay off.
From what I have read I am no doubt in the minority, but I remain positive. It might be helpful if others did too. There's absolutely nothing easy on the eye about getting gubbed 5-2 at home to the newly promoted club.
Also, 2 solid centre backs? Now I'm not sure if your fishing for bites but if not then surely you've seen the number of goals we've shipped since our first competitive game?
Were lucky this season is shorter. Last seasons squad is going to look like the Brazil team of 1970 compared to this one.

I think the fact that our defence is a disorganised shambles has already been well covered.
Well covered is putting it lightly.

Just about right with your post but Ferguson needs to do more in goal half asleep most of the time to give Leighfield a start .
Loan signing are a must this week we almost got him in Jan Berra at Hearts would help to sort the defence out.
He is just coming back to full fitness needs games a half fit Berra would be better than what we have just now
No thanks to Berra.

The first 2 because I thought what you said was a load of shite. And that one because it's clearly upset you.

Can't believe there's a discussion about Dobbie having the armband or not. He does a hell of a lot more for the club than what you see on the pitch. No other player in the squad could match what he does and the way he does it, he's captain material and just because he plays higher up the pitch doesn't mean he can't be captain. He leads by example and it's pretty evident every player who comes to play here looks up to him and looks forward to learning from him.

Such as?
If Sky tv can't stop illegal streams of their games there's not much Queen of the South can do about it unfortunately. We deleted links from Facebook as soon as they appeared all night (can't speak for whether Thistle did the same). The Thistle fans will be costing their own club money too though I'd be fairly sceptical about the claim that 300 of them watched an illegal stream.
No idea, that's why I asked. I thought maybe with it being a different streaming platform to the likes of the English Premier league then something could be done to prevent that from happening but I suppose if it's on the internet then there's always going to be a way to stream it illegally.

You didn’t believe that clown on Facebook did you ?Yep I did. I don't see why 300 is a skeptical number. It was through one of their Fb pages, one of which has thousands of followers so 300 isn't a silly number.

Good point. I suppose if any fans are going to do that when they play us then it will be Thistle.

Is there anything being done about fans watching games on a secret stream? Around 300 Thistle fans apparently watched the game last night on one which obviously means we've lost out on a bit of money, if that happens every home game then the amount we'll lose will fairly add up.

They should maybe fix the spelling of his name in one of the paragraphs in the article on the OS.
There's a couple of spelling mistakes but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

That's some write up about Nortey. Enjoyed reading it.

I've resigned myself to not seeing us in the flesh this season. It'll take the sting out of relegation if that happens but if Dobbie doesn't get the send off he deserves I'll be gutted tbh.
This.
It's a sad thought that we may already have seen him play in the flesh for the last time.

Would hate to be Hamilton right now. Didn't they decide not to sell season tickets and were relying on fans paying at the gate every game? Oops.

We're a touchy lot when it comes to fans of other clubs commenting on our signings.

Watched the highlights again and it's even more obvious than before that the CB's were at fault for 4 of the goals. Simply not good enough at this level.
