Scottish Cup semi final day today. Forfarshire beat Clydesdale as they look to retain their title, while Uddingston (6th in the West league) upset Grange (top of the East) to make the final. Final takes place on 20th August, I haven’t seen a venue announced as of yet, but I’d imagine it’ll be at one of the Edinburgh grounds. ETA: I’m wrong on the venue, it’s being held at Clydesdale’s Titwood.

Unlikely. It was a ballot for tickets and if you didn’t get through that you went on a waiting list, so I assume official resales are through that. We could only get day 4 & 5 tickets, so I’m hoping for some rain on days 1-3!

Foakes not being in there is a joke at this point, but it’s exactly the same approach that saw Crawley stuck with all through the winter and up to now, so I’m not a bit surprised by it.

Wood’s podcast that he does with Miles Jupp (Middle please, umpire) is well with a listen. He really is a top bloke. England deserved that. There has been some daft cricket at points, but this is shaping up to be an all time classic Ashes series, tbh. Hopefully I get to watch England winning the 4th test (day 4 & 5 tickets, could do with some traditional Manchester rain over the first couple of days) in a couple of weeks time. I would bring in Foakes and Tongue in place of Bairstow and Robinson for the next one. I’d also bring in Lawrence for Moeen but there’s no chance that’s happening.

I’d have brought in Lawrence for Pope, left Moeen out, and dropped Robinson rather than Tongue. I agree with Woakes and Wood coming in, and leaving Anderson out.
