  1. Interesting question. Each team we've faced this season in the league have caused us problems. I also find it hard to ignore their overall performances, but if we are basing it on displays in their matches against us alone, I'd go with: Celtic - controlled the majority of the ball and talent wise the best side we've faced for obvious reasons. Missed a sitter and defence looked shaky but not a lot in it at all Aberdeen - looked well organised, very dogged and pressed very well in the first half. Allowed us to knock the ball side to side without any concerns and always had a good out ball if we over-committed. We rarely threatened them seriously. Hibs - this is possibly controversial having them above teams that have taken points off us, but prior to their sending off Hibs were worthy of their lead and looked very at ease. Even after going down to 10 they never really made it that easy for us. Dundee - my second potentially controversial point, but I thought Dundee were more worthy of taking points off us than their city neighbours. They created chance after chance in the first half particularly and I felt they could've and probably should've grabbed another couple of goals Dundee Utd - Never allowed us to get going at all and smothered us all over the park. Hearts - left Ibrox with a point but felt we overran them in the first half and should've been 2 or 3 to the good before the late equaliser. No doubt they improved after the break and created a couple of really good chances but I felt they were missing something and we really should've won handsomely Motherwell - Similar to the above really, another case where we really should've been out of sight before their equaliser St Mirren - I feel quite harsh having St Mirren this low given their opening half hour against us. Completely worthy of their lead but then seemed to completely drop off and let us do what we wanted for the next 60 odd minutes. St Johnstone - Probably the team that has limited our play most effectively this season in terms of creating chances so it may seem harsh having them 9th but they didn't look very threatening and seemed to do much less with the ball than some other teams Ross County - Scored twice but ultimately conceded 4 and it could've been a few more Livingston - visited Ibrox with a plan to hold out for as long as they could and never really offered much going forward. Maybe they were hindered by a slight fear factor carrying over from our form last season that teams we've played more recently haven't had to worry about
  2. Aside from the events on the pitch, I don't think I've ever experienced a more poignant moment in a football stadium than last night when the clock struck 73 minutes. Both sets of fans giving an outstanding tribute that I couldn't help but get a lump in my throat.
  3. I never said not to look at the incident, and looking at the incident, it appears most people are agreeing Bates had a handful of Sakala's shirt, it just seems to be the presence of a foul that is questionable. Regarding the lack of fan footage? That is a pretty low standard you are trying to use in your favour. How many people do you know that film matches other than at free kicks/corners/penalties etc? I don't imagine many, if any at all, sit through a whole match recording it from their phone. They do it when there is a clear goal scoring opportunity, which there wasn't until the penalty was awarded. As for the "simple physics", now I think you are trying to paint things more black and white than they are. Nobody has claimed Bates "manhandled Sakala away from the ball", he just made it more difficult for him to get there in my opinion. It is entirely possible for Sakala to be getting his jersey pulled and still be able to make an attempt for the ball. As an example, you see it often when players are breaking up the pitch. An opponent will grab a handful of their jersey in an attempt to halt a fast break. The player being impeded can still move forward despite having his jersey pulled, but that doesn't mean it's not a foul though. Your simple law of physics does not mean as soon as a player has their shirt pulled they then move in the direction they are being pulled...
  4. The tint of blue I see through is quite calming.
  5. Come on now. Surely you agree if a player does not complain about a decision it must have something to do with them believing they've got it wrong? Being a "special" night doesn't really make any difference to a players reaction.
  6. When would pulling a players jersey not impede them? You can see from the pictures that his jersey collar is tight at the front and pulled down his neck/shoulders so clearly there must've been some force in the pull. Adding in Bates' complete acceptance of the decision makes me think he knows he done wrong. I'm not saying that replay from the front makes it look like a foul, I just wish they'd show the replay from behind when it was a lot clearer in my view.
  7. Not at all, I’m just saying I was convinced from my initial viewing it was a penalty. As others have said, the reaction and complete acceptance from Bates says a lot.
  8. What? Sakala attempted to head the ball, that’s why he went forwards toward it. Poor pictures I know, but you can definitely see Sakala’s jersey being tugged here with his collar pulled down his back. Like I said, from behind, you could clearly see the pull.
  9. If there is an angle of the penalty incident from behind the players I genuinely believe folk will realise why it was given. Looked a very blatant pull from my view.
  10. Also, f**k Cop26. Over an hour until we could go any faster than 5mph.
  11. Not true, we only managed to scrape a draw despite his heroics.
  12. Perfectly observed silence so credit to Aberdeen for that. Credit to them for flying out the traps too. Good pressing from Aberdeen and slack passing out from the back from us for the first, criminal defending from a floated corner for the second. Definitely thought the foul for our first was soft, haven’t seen it back. However I believe it was a penalty though for our equaliser - from my seat in the Govan rear Bates had a handful of Sakala’s shirt and then made no contact with the ball. Another insipid and toothless display for large parts and we are really a shadow of ourselves in comparison to last season. Large parts of nothingness in that match and we really need a spark and some dig introduced. I really hope the return of Kent and Jack can provide it.
  13. It's satire. They've already been on the thread making cheap digs rather than expressing any kind of sympathy.
  14. Does seem to be a fixture that breeds red cards to be fair. While ours are concentrated with Morelos, I think Hedges, McKenna and Christie have all been sent off vs us in relatively recent times.
  15. Aye, first day of the 18/19 season I believe for a flick out at McKenna off the ball.
  16. Actually looking at it I think it is only 3 sending offs. Still though, worth a punt haha.
  17. Aye, it regularly seems to be a fixture that brings out the best and worst of Morelos. It rarely passes him by. 14 appearances, 6 goals, 4 assists, 5 bookings, 4 sending offs.
  18. Football clubs often have similar/the same songs or chants. If I hear Hibs fans chanting it at various matches vs Rangers, without attending any other Hibs matches to use as comparison, how am I meant to know it’s reserved for us only At least I know now I wasn’t making it up like I was led to believe.
  19. No, I’ve heard it Easter Road when playing there on more than one occasion. Haven’t heard it from them at Ibrox that I can remember. If it’s a chant reserved for when they play us, then fair enough.
