Referees performance at Newburgh Shippy was shocking. Not sure how the shippy boy got a second yellow. Heard the defender kick his foot from the side of the park. Ref sent him off for diving
  2. Posting here as there's not a Inverkeithing Swifts thread - noticed in the last couple of issues of the Dalgety Bay Diary that locals weren't happy with the Swifts playing at their new ground, and were complaining to the Community Council about the noise, alcohol, parking.
Though of course you've got to take these complaints with a pinch of salt when someone thinks the noise from the centre is rising to around 200db!

    Luncarty v Kennoway Star Hearts

Bo'ness Athletic, Inverkeithing, Kennoway and Leith are favourites in their ties but most of the others harbour genuine hopes of reaching SFs.

South, West, Midland and North Juniors are playing 5 or 6 straight; but the East takes a break this midweek, giving squads a couple of training sessions and general recharge of batteries.

With cup-ties dominating next weekend and the following midweek - also a good point to take stock. Luncarty leads the way but massively congested thereafter with only 4 points separating 2nd and 11th [emoji2]. Peebles - alone without a win - are bottom, everyone else within 4pts of staying-up.

    Glens pumped at home

    Clyde v Dalkeith Thistle

    Tuesday 22nd June
    East Fife v Burntisland Shipyard

    Wednesday 30th June
    Burntisland Shipyard v East Fife

Guessing only 1 of latter might be correct.

Shippya game on the 22nd June was against east fife first team it’s been cancelled now. 20s they play on the 30th
  7. Right now everyone in Premier is floodlit except Crossgates and Inverkeithing. Half of clubs in First Division Conferences A & B. Third of clubs in X.

Grand total 34 out of 59 by my reckoning.

Quite a few others somewhere along way to getting them... digging trunking, raising columns, or upgrading existing training lights. Unsure any will be ready until spring at earliest though.

Pretty amazing when you consider 10yrs ago only 9-10 clubs in EOSL had lights (of whom only 4 still in league); and while few did in East Juniors they were basically never used in anger.

I’ve heard Burntisland shipyards floodlights start in June sometime
