  1. Another training ground injury. Wtf are they doing. A calf injury in training ffs!
  2. You're talking too much sense! The silence from the private meeting probably says it all tbh. They had fears and they were either unfounded or were aleviated with an explanation and long term plan. As Chubby says, having some debt at this point in time is to be expected with the complete change in approach and changes that have gone on. Without even factoring in the relegation implications. 1 step back to take 2 forward in future. I get some are not sure the plan will work but it's happening and so time will tell.
  3. Forgetting he can play there. Can see him being good as likes to come out of defence with the ball. If we can keep the two new guys at the back in the summer it will give us some good versatility at the back that's for sure
  4. Edwards situ may have been as case of us knocking it back and saying he's not for sale just now. We can't afford to let him go right now and would need someone else coming in to replace him. We'd have no chance getting someone in this window the time it takes us to bring folk in the door. I'm not bothered if he were to go, if we can replace with another LB/LWB, but now isn't the time. I
  5. He would purely be a squad filler and off field support but if it was for little cash then hard to see why not. Unlike many I'm not fussed either way. I wasn't a kid during his hayday with us, being of a more senior age group now, but was a fan of him and would be happy to see it happen
  6. You may refer to it as you like. We play when we want and are not ashamed by it.
  7. Their youth player of the year last season so I think he'll do fine. Hopefully we'll see Hamilton and Otoo in midfield with Summer and Moffat on Saturday.
  8. My memory is even worse. I didn't even realise Shankland was with us previously . The academy update does smack of pushed out as a result of that meeting and someone commenting on the lack if updates on what's happening. Likely not done before because it is only a wee update.
  9. Pretty much what I said. "80% have been decent", so whilst the boys record isn't good, let's see how he does. And are fans not allowed to be underwhelmed? We needed a striker as we need a goal scorer. Hopefully this lad turns out to be what we need and not more of what we have or let go. Time will tell
  10. Aye its a bit of a meh signing but to be honest, about 80% of our loan signings have been decent. Will reserve judgement until we see the boy in action.
  11. Yeah I don't have any high hopes. We may be trying but past history indicates to me, that doesn't mean anything. Yes we have brought in some really good players and prospects. It just seems we take a lot of time about it and seem to struggle.
  12. Broadfoot will crumble at the sight of Joe Chalmers baring down on him and turning backwards to offload the ball.
  13. Looking forward to the game and getting back to East End. The fact I will be in my seat likely means it will be a crap watch again though. Our best performances have been when I'm not there....
  14. Depends how we feel come Friday. If the boys feel like a day off then they'll get one. We decide when we play!
  15. Aye change the title please. Aye we've got injuries but it's not news anymore. Let's not make it look like an excuse in advance please.
  16. Chalmers treating the ball like it's going to explode...seems he can't wait to offload it and pass on any responsibility!
  17. Not to bad so far. We seem well organised at the back and obviously trying to hit quickly on the break. Tight game by the look of it and 1 goal could win it
  18. Absolutely no idea today. We've some players back and others rested for a few weeks. But it's near impossible to know if we will turn up and play how we can, or will be as bad as we can. Will having not played a competitive match for weeks be a factor? I couldn't predict this until after the first 15min has been played...
  19. End of the day, this thread has been reacting to guesses on what the concerns are, and that they relates to losses that have not been reported and shared yet as the tax year isn't over.
  20. If concerns are about losses last and possible this season, then fair enough. However it was obvious this would happen after we had to pay off two managers and were relegated. Added into this the increased costs on energy and everything else with inflation, its hardly surprising. As some mentioned there is likely having to be some funds from outside the investors to support the works at Rosyth due to the same inflated costs. This will all have set the club and the plans the investors had back 2/3 years. Us operating at a loss for a couple of seasons isn't great but nothing to panic about this early imo. It's right to keep an eye on it but let's not blown it out of proportion, if indeed it is even the concern being raised.
  21. Unless we decide we want to change it again. I'd say let's see how we feel the day before
  22. Nah I think we want this one played and for that reason, the game will be on. Even if storm Dick arrives by then
