1 started n a thnk finished the game with 5 and all done good. Big centre half got man of the match. Their is some serious talent in our under 20’s

On a more serious note, all junior teams should be using their under 20s as part of the youth progression instead of journeyman being played on big bucks

Cambuslang drew 3-3 with Peasy, but even if they had won they would have been relegated anyway as Maybole had a shock 1-0 win at Drumchapel.

Ashfield had come back from behind twice to lead 3-2 against Whitletts, but went 4-3 down before equalising late on. The draw means Ashfield can no longer go up and the final promotion spot is now between Shotts and Glencairn.

Sad night for cambuslang. Back to back relegations. They were punching when in the prem but it’s a massive blow going down again.

    It’s a cup final man.
Surely you can’t grudge a player who put in the hard yards to get their team there in the first place - a cup final which may be the only chance of winning a cup in his career. Have some sympathy. Any other game maybe but I would be gutted to miss it if it was me.

To be fair with his Rangers background he has won plenty.

  4. Saw this on another page. Is this nonsense or sign of the times?

Pollok seem to be in turnmoil off the park still, issues paying buses etc...unsure how a club with the following of Pollok can be in the position it is in other than through total mismanagement by the committee. For me Pollok at the biggest unknown for next season. I was hearing that a recent contract extension player has tried to over his services to Talbot which if true would be a great signing for them.

    Reported by who?

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong but I'll wait and see it coming from a more reliable source than a guy on a forum who so very clearly has an axe to grind.

To be fair his username is decent from one of our greatest ever cups wins and fanzines back in the day

The capacity limit has been greatly increased this season so unsure what point you are trying to make with that? For actually going to watch a game of football it remains easily one of the best grounds. There is no debate to be had on that and it's a cast iron guarantee that attendances would drop significantly if the club moved to some new, soulless 'facility'.

Season tickets went on sale today. The club were at a primary school open day last weekend promoting them. They also have good relations with a number of local businesses(local pub sponsoring the bus and hosting the pre/post game for the cup final, as a very recent example).

I think you should be asking more questions of the committee about this reported move as highlighted by another poster on here

Burgh 2 up at Thorniewood. Second goal is a worldy by Blair Rossiter, right in the top corner. Game is being filmed so I’d imagine there will be footage of it at some point

Burgh doing well with their new management team and ending the season well

Newlandsfield is one of if not the best grounds with one of the best pitches in non-league football. Even hinting at being happy to lose that in favour of a plastic pitch and some unknown new location is madness. It being harder to compete with complete non-entitys such as Gartcairn and St Cadoc's should not come into the thinking when the alternative is to completely rip up the fabric of the club.

You've mentioned that you want the club to work closer with the community previously and have done so again. it's as baffling a statement to me now as it was then. It's completely separate from the situation in reality.

There is not a single doubt in my mind that you are being extremely disingenuous with all of this. If you have the clubs best interests at heart, why not become a member and try and be part of the positive change that you are supposedly so desperate to see?

From my limited experience with a number of members of the committee over the years, each and every one of them put the club first in every decision they make.

Time will tell if that's the same with yourself but I suspect I know the answer.

Used to be one of the best grounds. Floodlights are a good start but the council found fault when they cut the capacity limit.  Surprised you don’t think advertising crowd funding in ihe area or promoting season tickets locally. Frozen prices are a good start

Tell me you want a plastic pitch without saying you want a plastic pitch.

I want a decent modern ground with a stand and proper terracing. If it’s plastic or hybrid then would help with the finances going forward

  10. The worry about Pollok over the years has been the value of the land being used to the clubs detriment. So many new grounds are geared towards community use rather than game day. It’s getting harder to compete against teams with sugar daddy’s but the club should be working closer with the local area and being fully transparent with the current situation

I don't either but the way he was pointing at Hamilton to try and get him a second yellow justifies it IMO

Also, Hamilton got an elbow and then a head into his own face - where he'd been playing with a broken cheekbone until very recently - and while it was accidental and he didn't complain about it, Michael Stewart went on and on about players rolling about. The man thinks he's insightful but he's just a dribbling simpleton.

    Subbed before sent off
