And if they can’t be scrapped, surely they can do away with replays. If it’s good enough for the proper Scottish Cup, it should be ok for the Auchinshoogle County Jubilee Cup, or whatever.

Most teams have development 20`s teams, play them in the cups that are seen a nuisance?

You done the dirty on the club , you are not to be trusted Jonny, you're lower than a snakes tits.

There`s always 2 sides to a story and that`s maybe why I`m still friends with JK... you probably don`t understand principles though.

But don`t let that get in the way of a good P&B post... especially with you living in a glass house.

Getting 4 experienced premier league players in won't be easy as clubs and players will demand good money to move during the season. Not saying it can't be done just not as easy as you are making out.

I never said it would be easy, but it`s what is needed. It`s about now players find themselves out the picture at their clubs and get itchy feet to be playing... hopefully we can take advantage of that and get the ones who won`t/shouldn`t play out the door to free up wages and places in the squad.

A couple of good loans could even be the answer.

The simple fact is the squad needs trimmed and improved... and quickly!

Why get premier league players 🤔 at our level hasn't Darvel and Johnstone burgh proved even if u get thease players in u still won't win anything what ur saying is get rid of 10 players to bring in 4 so called Premier league players why not just go for Messi he would sort the team out just on his own u would save money lose 10 players for 4 but Messi is only 1 person oh hold on he wouldn't come cause u reckon 4 players on better money than the 10 u let go for less money

    Walloper!

The squad needs players with prem experience, which it is currently lacking.

Just you stick to trying to sort out your own experienced premier players that are currently under performing instead of wittering messi pish... 🤡

  5. Supposedly 24 signed players, there`s where the budget went.

Get 10 out the door and spend those wages on 4 experienced premier league players that will be in your 11. That gives you a decent sized squad that you can then supplement with players from the 20`s squad. (Bysouth and O`Hare already shown the level required and there`s 2 or 3 more that could step up now)

Just seen a couple players have left the medda today. Think it was Fyfe and MacNair.  Dont know if they were regular starters but it a hard time of season to look for starting 11 replacements

They weren`t starting 11 players, never at the level required, not even close! I expect to see a good few more heading out the door for the same reason.

Irvine meadow 1 Clydebank 1,  Nicky little with injury time leveler

Where the ref got 9 mins extra time from for that penalty then a further 2 mins after it I`ll never know... looked like he was playing until they scored a winner! A sore one for Meadow who deserved the 3 points and Clydebank must feel like they got out of jail...

Eglinton beat Carluke a suprise. Goalfest at Newmains still somehow manages to be only the 2nd most mental game across the WOSL.

Not really a surprise with the players they`ve brought in. Got some cash now from new sponsor and paying some decent money so expect to see them up there challenging.

Since we're talking about Johnstone so much, I found my way down there for the second week in succession for my first visit to Thorn Athletic. First half we dominated, going in 4-1 ahead and hitting the woodwork twice. Classic game of two halves though - after the break we threw on a host of trialists and U20s and eventually got pegged back to 4-4...could have lost it in the latter stages if I'm being honest.

A word about Thorn...there's been plenty of discussion about the new clubs on here and they appear to be one who are going about things the right way. They seem to be attempting to build something sustainable and substantial rather than going down the glom onto a groundshare/start chucking cash at players route.

It's clearly still a work in progress there, but at least there's the sense that progress is being made.

Thorn have a very strong youth set up coming through also. Good to see them investing that way and growing the club rather than just a pop-up stand alone team and throwing big money at older players on the slide to try and move out the division.  Giving them real community appeal that should be sustainable rather than just giving it lip service on social media about like others are doing.
