March 1965, Scottish Cup quarter final Motherwell 1 Hearts 0 scorer Carlyle. My memories as a 4yr old (nearly 5) has the goal scored from a header, though happy to be corrected.
Sat in the still newish Main Stand.

It's official, we've left this thread behind. Bye all.
Onwards and upwards.

Good to know Eliphas. Thanks for putting our minds at rest. Not sure what we can afford but 1 or 2 players would not cut it unless they were Messi and Van Dijk.
Saw a quote from Paul McGinn describing Blaney as being Van Dijkesque in the games against us.
One box ticked, now for Messi.

Don't normally bother with the bells etc. but this year the beers and snacks are lined up and perhaps a dram or three. What's the consensus 4 signings announced by 00:15 so we can all get to bed or staggered up to 2am? Assume all part of the match day squad on Monday.

Dougie's first goal in this game is probably my all time favourite just for the simplicity, two passes, goal!!

Definitely jeiiy tot.
How do you eat yours? I'm an eat round the jelly tot till that's all that's left kind of guy. The missus eats the tot first then the rest of the biscuit. Obviously we're totally unsuited for each other ......we manage.
These were originally called German biscuits before WW1 led to a patriotic name change.

A quick check on the forum and we've jumped ahead two pages since yesterday. Yes!! a signing or two or at least a pitch or Euro update.
Nope, feckin' crisps and cereals binge, season can't start soon enough. At least I've got king prawn pakora for dinner.

Still haven't had your list of favourite pakora? A top 3 will do.
For me;
1) Veg
2) Chicken
3) Fish
Really depends on whether you class prawn as fish or not.
Prawn, fish, veg.

Think some older fans might make a case for Pat Gardner and Wattie Carlyle getting into the combined United/Well eleven.
I'll agree about Paul Kinnaird, he lacked social graces.
Carlyle for me.

Saw his debut against Tranmere Rovers when he played most of it in goals. Also the testimonial when Joe and the rest of the team were absolutely roasted by West Brom.

Confirmation that Jake Carroll is suspended for 2 matches, Toby’s time has come (again).
Or perhaps Lamie moves left to accommodate some norse God whose pitched up in ML1.

Bad idea, he'd spend the rest of his career either boxed in or out of position.
Thing is, he's not even 30 yet. I keep forgetting that.
A lot of wasted energy in his running style. Someone get Tom McKean over for a few sessions.1 -
Oops, it's about time you got on-board with this. [emoji846]
I've handed back my season ticket until justice prevails. Motherwell should set the price for every game they play IMO, only they know whats best for football fans.0 -
About time you got onboard with this.

Okay, so perhaps it was unnecessary to include SOD. I could have left a simple statement. To be fair, "couldn't get near him so he kicked him" does reflect rather better on the kickee than the kicker...
£100,000,000 for Jack Grealish!! [emoji1787][emoji1787]
Does 12 caps (7 starts), no trophies and no European experience warrant that?

FFS!!! Jack Grealish £100m
that's £100,000,000 for a guy who SOD played keepy up with for fun. [emoji1787][emoji1787] hope his agent has it on his best of video.0

I was a "No" on the original society survey and nothing I've read subsequently has changed that. For me 51% of the total shareholding remaining with the fan base is my line in the sand.
I'm assuming here that the proposal is not to dilute the society's and the private shareholding by issuing new shares, but for share transfers to take place between the society and the Barmarcks whilst the private shares will be purchased at market value separately. Can I ask first is this assumption correct? If so is these share purchases agreed or dependent on the society's agreement.
A 25% shareholding, will bring at least one board seat and an opportunity to implement many of the proposals being suggested.
