Union 2-1 Hoffenheim Rapid start from Union enough to earn the three points and maintain Bo Svensson’s unbeaten start as manager. Not sure I could tell you the last time I was at a game where a team were 2-0 up in 5 minutes. Absolutely battered Hoffenheim for the rest of the first half with Hollerbach and Rothe giving young Drexler a torrid time. Second half became a lot more about managing the game, and while a Hoffenheim consolation always felt likely, I wouldn’t have said they did enough to warrant anything from the game. Standing in 24° heat, directly in the sun, for about 4 hours went as well as you might expect.

Is Clark up top or in his ‘usual’ role? Guessing Cameron’s mistake was a shocker too? Union went 2-0 up in five minutes, so I think I made the right choice today.

Borussia Tennis 1-4 BFC Preussen In Berlin for the Union game today so thought I’d head to this last night. Not sure 4-1 is a fair reflection of how the game panned out, but I can’t say I remember too many clear opportunities for Borussia, despite having their fair share of possession. Decent enough standard for a regional league game. Quite surprised by the scoreboard tbh. The €4 beers were excellent, too.

There’s only one name on any of the lists (less Andy Kirk) that it would be, and I still don’t think it’ll be him.

My objections to him are mainly ability based tbf, for the points Random outlines. I’m not massively fussed about what a manager says about us when they’re at another club. They should always try and play up the club they’re at, something we’ve been desperate for since Tommy. Speaking of the great man, saying the play-offs are bigger than the League Cup Final (or whatever it was), to me, is a manager just using the media. Albeit Murray’s comments aren’t the greatest example for me to make this point on. He shouldn’t be our manager for both his ability and his attitude towards St. Johnstone. A manager that fans don’t have a negative preconception - like Lennon and Brown (and Levein) - would be who I’d go for. Tommy.
