From the website, the 12 in the Premier League - 3 Folded, 4 to the Calie which leaves 5. Rumour that Castlemilk OBC going Sat morning also. Be as well going back to calling it the SAFL

Sadly your rumour about Castlemilk going Saturday morning is the same as your one about GHSFP. Total p*sh I’m afraid.

Hasnt this amazing English system got a London team playing in a ‘Northern League’ below the national conference or something?

Bishop’s Stortford are about to enter their second stint in the National League North plus throw in the likes of Gloucester and Hereford into that section and it’s a joke.
Basically the cut off point for the National League is almost the River Severn to the South West and Hertfordshire to the North of London. The FA are equally as daft as the SFA.

Hearing tonight after the collapse of the central/cale merger that the central and safl will be joining forces. Is there anyone realistically in the safl thats likely to bother the big guns in the central? Unlikely. Seems like the central just wanting to boost numbers.

Neilston put Bannockburn out of the Scottish last weekend.

  4. His Assistant is an absolute pellet. What does he actually bring to the table apart from berating linesmen.

To be fair to Ross, on at least three occasions in the Open Goal game he told him to button it.

  5. Cowdenbeath fans what’s your thoughts on the manager’s position.

I sat very close to your dug out and he looks a man that has completely ran out of ideas and simply looks incapable of turning your sides fortunes around. His body language said it all for me and the less said about his sidekick the better. Apart from berating the linesman he offered little to the party from what I could see and picked up a needless and stupid caution.

On the game itself, missed a decent chance just before OG got their first. They looked no great shakes to be honest. There was hope I suppose at 1-0 that you might be able to conjure something out the game but the two quick fire strikes more or less put paid to that.

Hope you guys can start to pull things around soon.

I am largely positive about that appointment, I also assumed it would be someone connected with the club.

The main caveat being how long he has gone without managing, his last management job was before a few of our squad were probably born. But I think he's stayed involved in football as a coach, so hopefully shouldn't be much of an issue.

Count me as optimistic and intrigued!

Pretty sure he hasn’t managed since a brief spell at Berwick back in 2004/05.

Pretty much been Jimmy Calderwood’s No2 before Allan Johnston’s resident side kick.

Strangely the Borders league seems to be as healthy as ever with three divisions, even declining new member clubs from Gretna and Berwick although I believe this was due in part to the additional travel that would be needed for teams and particularly their perilously small pool of refs

Already three or four clubs in that league from Berwick already.

  8. Can't say I'm surprised at the news from Beith last night after that display tonight and the body language of some of their players. Hopefully Butch gets another chance somewhere else soon.

Take nothing away from Largs, they were absolutely rampant throughout the park and the only consolation for Beith was it could have been more. Thistle just blew them away after such a good start for the visitors too.

  9. Personally I wasn't surprised when I heard the news.

I asked the question a few weeks ago after the Cumnock defeat and fair dues to the Buffs fans who came out and said they were happy enough with him.

Yes, he's done a good job there but personally I thought he had took them as far as he can and it's time for someone to come on with a view to that challenge to win the WOSL and get into the Lowland League where the Buffs are certainly capable of reaching and competing at.

Who comes in well that's going to be an interesting decision and I'm sure Chris Strain probably won't be short of an offer or two to take over somewhere.

Has Chris Sttrain been given the boot ??????

Do Buffs fans think he has took you as far as he can and it’s rime for someone to take over and take the club to the next level which is challenging for the title and getting into the Lowland League.

The ground and infrastructure looks to be in place. Buffs fans must be a bit disappointed with the way the season has panned out.

A change in fortune I seen them at Burntisland on Wednesday and they never had a shot on goal. A reward for two long trips to Fife in 4 days.

Must admit at having seen they were on the end of two heavy defeats so far this season I was thinking this game might be a bit one-sided. However, Hawick didn’t look anything like a side that had taken a couple of real beatings. Like I said earlier they could have won have by a couple of goals if they had been able to finish.

Having said that Newburgh hit the bar twice during the first half. The first one was at 0-0 and you wonder if it might have been a different outcome had that or the other effort gone in.
