4-2 again tonight in a repeat of Saturday's scoreline. Certainly looks like more goals [at both ends] with Mr Nish at the helm.

Fantastic to see TJ in the top end of the table despite a managerial change .

Hopefully stop giving away penalties when winning and save the grey hairs .

  2. Gretn a v Tranent will be a good game .

Tranent are grinding out results and climbing the table.

Both teams have new managers settling in albeit McIndoe signed the majority and has been training them for most of the season.

As for Gretna's finances .... Is there anyone involved with a dodgy past in financial matters 🤔

    Your frothy tears are tremendous.

An incident where a player gets sent off makes us neanderthals.  Some take you have on things.

You really should be spending more time worrying about your own team.  You were beaten by a Rose team that were honking on the day.

How many years in the Lowland League now?  More chance of tier six than tier four for you.

A board and supporters club continually embroiled in civil war.

A manager that's a helmet, and failed wherever he goes, top decision to give him a three year deal.

Face it, you're irrelevant and the days of living off scraps whilst lingering about the basement of tier four are over.

Hang on you beat Rangers over fifty years ago.  Where are you now, that's right, irrelevant and sinking.

    Enjoy your day.

Get off the fence , say what you really think 😂

  4. There is no football club in the land where all players, coaches , manager and committee sing from the same hymn sheet constantly.

They are only two points from top of league, the captain rightly accepted assistant manager at Musselburgh ( another club with turnover of managers / players )

The big guy that does the programme is a genuine ,well respected man who will be hard to replace and sorely missed.

  5. I personally think he does NOT have a job lined up , I'm certainly not in the know but his relationship with the Committee has been less than harmonious as previous managers would attest.

My guess is a straw has broke the camels ( calums ) back.

  6. Second win for Tranent tonight, whilst the scoreline says 1_0 it's not a true picture. Berwick were outplayed, TJFC missed a pen,hit the bar and missed several great chances . In all honesty , 4-0 would've been a truer reflection.

  7. I was also in attendance, understandably a nervous first ten minutes for Tranent but they settled in well for the remainder of the game.

EK were very good, well organised and physical. Their number 5 was their MoM , but a lot of good performances for EK. Thought number 11 was more interested in fouling and niggling than actually concentrating on the game for the majority.

Tranent will rue their defending at corners, hopefully the return of left back and captain Rutherford will help,as will McCormack and Donaldson when fit.

The TJs midfield worked tirelessly and admirably , in particular No's 10 and 6.

The free kick from 11 was sublime and worth special mention.

All in all, a much celebrated 3 points for East Kilbride which Tranent can use as a barometer for how far they have came in a short space of time.

  8. What a typical , self serving attitude from either side of the same arse that is the OF.

Stuff the rest of Scottish football, the pyramid system as long as Rangers can spend a million on a B team to win a League they are allegedly guests for one more season !

Will that be another star on the Jerseys for a 10 year old team .

Absolute nonsense, your club have just paid a very sizeable fee for a player from Tynecastle who was out of contract in the summer.

What Tranent do is pay what the budget allows, its a fallacy to think that they pay double what Penicuik pay their players, in my opinion the budgets for a lot of the teams competing at the top of the league this year will be much of a muchness.

What Tranent have also done very well over the years is be prudent with their hard earned money.

There's a few of the Tranent lads on £40 per week ...not exactly 'high earners'.

  10. Nitten have assembled a decent team , I think they'll stay up.

Whitehill have a fantastic keeper but not such a great squad so I'm tipping them to go down.

Dundonald are a team and they should have just enough to stay up.

Camelon ,again not strong enough and unless John Harvey can work wonders I'll tip them to drop as well.

Hill of Beath and either Sauchie or Blackburn will be relegated in my opinion.

Feel free to repost this at the end of the season 😊

A shame to see Deano go. A bit of a head-scratcher of a decision, particularly at this stage of the season, so can only assume there's some plan in place. Very well liked by the fans at Tranent and a consistently solid player for us over the past few seasons. I know we've brought in Jake Mitchell from Hill of Beath but can't say I know too much about him or have seen much of him.

Was certainly a bold decision ,considering Tranent haven't lost a league goal at home all season.

Normally players are only replaced with better , the new lad better hit the ground running .

Well the way it works at Dunbar is that the match sponsor makes the choice for Man of The Match, its entirely their decision and theirs only. Several folks I chatted with actually had Darren Smith as a strong candidate. So if it had actually been Smudger, would that have changed your last sentence? The way I seen it, it was a fairly even game. If there was a team that was ever the favourite for that match - it could only be TJFC. A lot of talent in that TJFC team, but I think I was perhaps underwhelmed by their performance.

Agree regards the performance,in particular the defence weren't on top of their game. Indeed, almost lackadaisical at times.

The MoM made several good saves , mostly in the first half. The game could've been over by half time had Tranent taken half their chances. Dunbar equalised with their first shot on target (:and a defensive cock up ) .

  13. I also attended this game and thought a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing cost Tranent , especially in the first half. The surface made it difficult for both teams but credit to Dunbar for twice coming back from a goal down. The fact the home keeper was MOM confirms TJFC should've taken the three points ,however a draw was a fair result .
