    The fact O'Neill got Tam's number after the show and called him shows a bit of class for sure.

     

    Also the guest today, Daniel Gray, is superb. I've heard him on the show a few times and his knowledge and chat is always brilliant. He would be great as a semi-regular guest. I'm surprised you don't hear much from him elsewhere in the media other than the Nutmeg magazine.

    He really seems to have a issue with Bartley. Making a point of asking him to apologise live on radio and then plastering his tweets on his instagram. He's been on here and posting your comments on his instagram as well, deary me.

    Fair enough if Bartley has got it wrong but it's complete ignorance from Cowan, unsurprising. A white privileged man calling for an apology from a black man who has experienced racism his whole life. A little sensitivity as to why he may react that way when listening to that audio.

    It reminds me of the famous James Baldwin quote to a white woman : "I don't know you personally, but I know you historically" Give this a watch Tam, enlighten yourself.

    You'll need to check with people who actually listen to exactly what Cowan says. Perhaps there is a level of subtlety that I am missing, but going by his history I doubt it.

    He has also aimed a dig at Eilidh on his Instagram. Sky Sports twitter posted a clip from yesterdays game of Martin O'Neill having a joke with Stan Petrov about his weight when he arrived at Celtic - Eilidh replied to the post saying she loved working with him O'Neill.

    Cowan is trying to compare this to Copeland's vile abuse. He writes - "Not happy about this fat shaming and people laughing at it in 2022, I'm offended"..

    Again it shows that this guy (Cowan) is in the dark ages. He's comparing overt racist, homophobic sexist remarks with affectionate ribbing between two professionals who respect and worked with each other over a period of 20 years.

    Just had a listen to last weeks.

    Amy Irons, I’m sure she’s lovely, but she offers nothing insightful at all. Nervous/false laughter throughout is a horror to listen.

    I noticed Tam had a wee dig at her for ‘The Edit’ she presents with David Farrell. I watched about 3 minutes of it, horrific. Filled with sickily fake laughter and crap jokes.

    When these presenters are trained are they encouraged to treat the viewer like morons and act completely false?
