It is still theoretically possible, because Hearts can mathematically still finish 2nd. That would put Celtic and Hearts in the CL qualifiers via the league, and Rangers in the group stage via the EL.

But it won't happen in practice, of course.

That would be a hoot if we went from typically no teams to 3 teams in the group stages!

Watched highlights on Sportscene, wasnt a penalty for me, I would have been raging if that was given against us (which it would have at CP)

Encouraging from us though, Mcpake would never have got near a draw away to Celtic.

I wouldn't like it to be a pen. But I think the current rules would give it as a pen if VAR was in play.

The myth that we caused the referee strike is probably my favourite

My memory is that criticism by Celtic's chairman, players and fans (using that word loosely) were a large part of it, along with how incompetent the SFA were/are.

Please do correct me if I am wrong though as maybe I am getting influenced my reading it in this forum constantly.

    What did cause it?

  4. Hearts? They still in with a chance?

Old firm, hearts and Aberdeen as truthfully, I think they are the best suited to pick up coefficient points.

Don't really care about top 6. But I do like the job Martindale is doing.

I have a soft spot for the underdog, so I want Ross County to stay up, along with Livi. I like Goodwin and always impressed when I see St Mirren so let's save them as well.

Not fussed about Dundee or St Js. So bye bye! (Or utd)

Would like to see Arbroath and Thistle in top league to replace them.

  5. I assume he is trying to take the high ground and talk about forgiving society and rehabilitation etc.

I agree there is a difficult conversation to have about what role convicted rapists have in society (as well as murders etc), however, in a public facing role forgiveness and acceptance has to be earned. Goodwillie has done absolutely nothing to move this forward. If anything, he is still dragging it backwards.

I hope Clyde have the balls not to take him back.

  6. So basically, neither team trusts each other. Excellent.

When rangers first cut Celtics allocation, was there an imbalance in the away numbers? I have vague memories telling me that rangers used to give more tickets (higher percentage maybe?) To Celtic?

With no away fans, both teams must make more money through no dividers and less stewards, so it will probably continue...

  7. Ref was card happy as he always is. Some of the bookings for both sides seemed extreme.

Ginnelly has no complaints though, after already been booked, why get involved. He also set the tempo by walloping Barisic inside 7 seconds!

I would say it was a penalty (assuming it was not out of play, impossible to say with lack of extra cameras).

Big shout out to the two keepers who were outstanding and the best two players on the pitch (even if Gordon was a little naughty on Morelos, that's the type of nonesence you expect from McGregor!)

Have you watched the 1st goal in Man Utd / Arsenal game last night ????

Just went and saw it there. Wow. I certainly would not be celebrating that, I don't think it's fair for a team to get an advantage like that.

... Although, I think de gea(?) was at it slightly.

Even if Hearts had decided to put the ball out of play, convention would have dictated that Celtic return it. Instead they got to start an attack of their own in the middle of the pitch, unchallenged.

Never saw the match, but Celtic should have given the ball to hearts on the restart. It's a bit rubbish if they launched an attack from that situation.
