  1. Nice to see that Dobbie is being worshipped at Blackpool. Cringey song though!

Wow. I wish I could un watch that. He's certainly made a name for himself at championship level if he perhaps had an extra yard of pace he might of stuck it out in the Premiership. Now in his third spell at Blackpool. Yet has never actually signed for them!

  2. I notice the Boxing Day fixture against Livingston at Palmerston has been moved to Saturday the 21st of December. Which from a personal point of view is pretty shite as I now probably wont be able to attend. Can't really see the logic behind it. The fact it's last shopping weekend before Christmas and the day after black eye Friday will surely have detrimental affect on potential crowd numbers?

  3. Hello Doonhamers.

Myself and three fellow Sunderland fans are looking at making one of our occasional raids into enemy territory for your home game v East Fife on Saturday 27th April. Sunderland are away to Aston Villa that day which is not one of our favourite away days. Plan will be to book into the travel lodge and head up there by car early morning and spend the whole day in Dumfries and take in the game.

I have a few questions. I don't suppose there is any chance of the game getting moved from that date ,TV or cup ties etc? plus we like a pint of real ale or ten and I noticed online that there is (Or was) a Dumfries real ale trail with about 12 pubs. Any advice on where to drink before and after the game would be welcome, plus what's the town like for a Saturday night out? We are not fussy, I used to drink on Gateshead high street, so my standards are not high!!, just wondered if there will be anywhere with a bit of atmosphere where 4 forty something real ale drinking footy fans would fit in, or maybe somewhere with live music?

For real ale definitely try the Tam O'Shanter on Queensberry Street, The Ship Inn on St.Michaels street, The Caven's Arms on Buccleuch St. and the New Bazzar on the Whitesands. The Bazzar is always full of Queens fans pre match as well.

Saturday nights are always busy. For later on I'd recommend Broon's and the Queensberry both on English street if cask ale is

essential. If not then Greens on St.Michael's street is also worth a visit as is the Hole I' The Wa on the High street . I wouldn't recommend any of the night clubs unless your very inebriated!

  4. It isn't open so far as I am aware. I've spoken to John Paterson who manages it and he's actually away on Saturday so can't open it and isn't conscious that anyone else is either.

Any last minute things, the shop can be accessed by calling at the Palmerston office 9am - 3pm tomorrow or Friday and, so far as I know, at least until lunchtime on Xmas Eve.

Yeah I popped in yesterday. Unfortunately they didn't have everything I was after and won't have until after Christmas, but I did leave it a bit late.

  5. How wonderfully convenient for me, Is it the Athletics stadium we're playing at? or do they have their own ground?

Yeah Meadowbank stadium. The former home of the now defunct Meadowbank Thistle. They've played there for a number of years now. Quite possibly the worst place to watch football ever! Although I have fond memories of it as it was my first Queens away day and they won. :)

  6. Absolutely disgusted and disillusioned with our BOD decision to vote yes. Yet I can't say I'm at all surprised.

What possible benefit other than short term financial gain did they think this would achieve? I'm glad the majority of SFL clubs are not as short sighted and out of touch with there fans as Queens however. Had an unlikely yes vote been passed then Scottish football would have be dead to me.

I won't be boycotting games as that won't achieve anything, but I don't blame those who do.

What little respect I had left for Davie Rae has gone after that utter drivel in the Record as well. f**k off you clueless, bumbling shit kicking twat!

  7. Nowt that Anderson could do there. Taylor just his usual self.

He could have threw less shit sub 60 scores and hit more doubles! Taylor wasn't even that good. Anderson papped it. Just like he always does when he plays Taylor on the telly.
