I dunno but the maw is a big honey.

The da is massively punching here , he looks like the love child of Danny Divito and Fred West.

  2. On the Halliday chat he played very well the night we routed Ross County at home . He still has a good touch and is able to recycle the ball well but at times gets caught on his heels - I think he is lacking that half yard  that you get with match fitness and he may be able  to get that back with a good pre season. Far far too early to be writing him off IMO.

On the Kelly chat there is no denying he has made a few of real howlers. St Johnstone at home when he staggered off his line into no man’s land, Morton in the cup and more recently the corner up at Dens. However to say he has been sh*t all season is very harsh.

His style of keeping is a line dweller, he’s never going to be Sieb Dykstra . Our problem in defence all season is making decisive first contact on the ball when crosses come in. I think we could bring in a very dominant centre half and Kelly would be fine behind him but if we don’t or can’t get that sort of player then we do need a keeper with more physicality as the blend at the moment is all wrong.

I see the player of the season awards are appearing tonight, I have never gone to any club events, calendar signings, open days, nights with Tam Cowan, are they worth it?

Just home and I had a great night. The players were great, happy to chat and have pictures taken.

.Jack Vale was a scream he outbid everyone in the auction to get his picture taken with Stevie Kirk. Bravo Jack bravo 👏

I've just ordered that, cheers for letting me know. I'll look forward to reading it. I'm reading Gary Numan's autobiography just now and I have the Bernard Sumner one lined up as well for after that. Thank you.

Sumners is also a very good read though my personal favourite of the Manchester genre is The Hacienda: How not to run a club by Peter Hook.

I don't know, I think most people would say that John Squire was the brains behind the Stone Roses and by miles a better songwriter while Ian Brown's strength was purely being the frontman with an easily recognisable singing style and an attitude. Ian Brown's solo career has proved this, initially he had some success built on his previous reputation but it quickly got old.

I didn't didn't go to Rock Ness the year Ian Brown performed but I could hear him sing 8 miles away as the wind carried the music up the glen to where I lived at the time and I got the full experience of his recognisable singing style 🫣, .....what would that be at the time maybe 15-18 years of performing live and he still can't f***ing hold a note, flat as a pancake. It was dreadful for someone of that experience not to learn and push himself to improve. I also heard the The Prodigy's set blown up the Glen by the wind in my direction and there was nothing wrong with how they sounded, even if the sound would fade and then come back. That was quite enjoyable, sitting in the garden 8 miles away from Dores and being able to hear The Prodigy.

Tim Burgess I think is a far better frontman and songwriter and just solidly a decent guy. The Charlatans have a lot more staying power than many of the other bands that were born around the same time that became part of the 'scene' Much of that down to the quality of the songwriting consistancy and band members that generally didn't end up hating each other due to egos. I would like to read their story, if Tim Burgess ever writes an autobiography.

I read Telling Stories a few years ago. Cracking read, though you would be forgiven for wondering how he is still alive given his substance shenanigans.

  6. I’d say Blaney is a bit like Bevis in that he is largely fine but also capable of the odd brain fart.

I seem to remember him bringing the ball out from the back and inexplicably gifting it to an opposition forward , maybe against St Johnstone?

I think the best our defence has looked was when it was being marshalled by Butcher after January last year. If Butcher is indeed finished at this level then I think we need someone else of that style i.e. a calm composed organiser. We do look frantic at times , often under little pressure .

Crawford's appearance against Airdrie in the league cup the following summer saw him narrowly miss out on a place in the elite club of Motherwell players who never played in front of fans.

The members: Aaron Chapman, Jordan Archer, Tyler Magloire, Sam Foley, Harry Robinson, Callum Lang, Jordan White, Harry Smith.

Perhaps Lang aside, a very forgettable bunch.

From memory Crawford had a horror show in that Airdrie game , wanting hours on the ball etc.

Plus hopefully I won't regret typing these words but compared to County over the last few games our form has been much better than theirs. Not taking away from their win today but given that the bottom six have to play one another once - teams below us will drop points along the way as will we. I'm still nervous myself but I think we've done enough to avoid the play off spot. County would need to win three out of the last five and we would need to lose three for them to overtake us.

And also worth pointing out that St Johnstone would also have to go on some insane run for us to end up 11th from here. The  teams below us all have to play one another so they can’t all win every game .

Several Dundee fans coming in here to gloat despite there not being a single Motherwell fan on here , or in the real world, appearing to be even remotely annoyed we missed out on the top 6.

I suppose when you’ve spent 15 of the last 20 seasons in the seaside leagues and 40+ in the shadow of your neighbours you’ll go over board about scraping a top half league finish! 😂

Yep definite St Mirreny - type energy from a few Dees fans.
