Not at all. Really happy he scored the pen and we won, doesnt change my opinion though.. thoughts on their first goal ? Should he have tracked his runner into box ? Got a challenge in? Not stood like a statue at the rebound ? All forgiven for the pen though, took some balls to dink that for the win.

I don't know what you're smoking but can I have 2 puffs. Name me a fullback that stops every cross or even every other cross coming in.
Id settle for him stopping one..

Out of your starting eleven, if they were fit, he's surely one of the two weakest? It's not Hamilton as your striker, it's not any combination of attacking midfielders, nor the deeper ones you have, I wouldn't say its Watson or Murray, and Dabrowski seems to have done well so it's not him.
Which leaves Millen and Dick, you could still have a good team but there's always going to be a position you want to improve in, and from the outside the biggest improvements look like they could be made at full back.
Exactly what my point was.. out of our strongest starting 11 he is probably one of two weakest and therefore our weakest outfield player in that starting 11.
Nothing personal on Millen, average championship level player, out of the other 9 players outfield players in our strongest fit 11 who would you all put Millen ahead of ? Liam Dick is a marginally better full back.

I'm sure that will be a morale booster if he reads the forum. Second in the league and you're having a dig at a boy who has been pretty solid all season and who gives his all every week. Why ?
Did you boo the team off on Saturday out of interest ?
I just dont rate him that much as a full back. Watch during a game, he never stops a cross coming in when one on one with opposition player, which ultimately lead to chances and goals and his defensive positional play is suspect. Two of the most important attributes as a full back.
Only my opinion, entitled to it. Calm down peeps.
And no, i never boo a player or the team.
Looking at our strongest 11 id genuinely say he is our weakest player, in contest with big Kev.

Ross Millen is probably one of our tallest outfield players, but the shitest.

I think the continual chopping and changing of the forwards is not helping us get any proper momentum. One bad game from Vaughan, Mullin, Smith, Gullan, Easton and Hamilton and they are dropped right away. Meanwhile players behind them are having regular stinkers and never being touched. Probably as we are so top heavy in the front areas with players. Last week Vaghan and Smith had an off day and were subbed, this week Mullin and Easton starting instead, who both had stinkers this week in my opinion. Everyone quick to point at Masson for the goal but it all came from them playing out from the back and Easton jogging about telling everyone else to pick up the runners rather than him pressing and putting a tackle in.
I also dont think Ian Murray has figured out just how to get the best out Gullan, Vaughan and to some extend Stanton in the same way McGlynn did. Mostly formation.
Hopefully Connolly can come in and pick up from last season and we have to give players longer runs in the team than in one week, bombed out the next.

To be honest Murray has been right to bench him as he’s been the poorest of the front 4 this season.
Great to see him back scoring though.
Id say Hamilton and Gullan have been worse. Hamilton gives us a different dimension given his attributes. Smith the pick of the bunch so far. His form might not be what it was before all his injuries but he scores us goals.

That last little bit of Vaughan's interview
I'm not crying.
Him running passed the raith bench after the winner with a cheeky hand up to his ear is quality. Murray seemed to take it well in the post match interview though. Just how many goals would this fine young man have scored for us if not being out for the best part of 5 years.

IM specifically addressed in his post match interview that Big Kev was unable to come out due to a couple of players physically blocking him back on his line. I suspect that some focus will result in finding ways to beat that.
If you watch the replay the goalie and defender push the attacker out way soon as ball kicked, for sure he could have came for it.. but didnt..
That aside, he generally does not fill me with confidence like other keepers have who were more solid than not.
So who is playing left back Saturday ?

I'm definitely in the 'not convinced' category regarding Dabrowski and would class the 2nd goal on Sunday as one he might have done better with. Having said that, his save from Boyle was very good and, if the roles had been reversed and Boyle had scored while Vente's was saved nobody would be questioning him at all, so in that respect he is a bit unfortunate.
Perhaps on the 2nd goal bit it went through Watsons legs and took a nick then went through his legs.. Dick was more at fault.. Got caught under the ball at the long switch of play by trying to intercept it, then was out of position.. Keeper at fault for first..Should be coming out for that, hibs clearly knew his weakness as they did it all game.

Yup, Easton in, Vaughan out. That was hard to admit.
The same Lewis Vaughan with 2 goals and 3 assists in his last 4 games ? Why would any manager drop that creative form from a team ?

Now returning to reader and non contributor.

Well at least step 1 of putting this in the rear view mirror has been done, a long way to go.
With regards to the McGlynn, it was for sure his worst decision ever to propose him as a signing to the board. Am i disappointed in him for doing so, absolutely..Was it a huge mistake..absolutely.. Is it recoverable? who knows? His reputation has been tarnished big time.
That being said , i dont want him sacked over it. If he chooses to walk then his call and life goes on. I am sure he underatands the gravity of the situation caused more than anyone, he looked genuinely gutted after the game on Tues at what he has caused by his own doing and may well fall on his own decision.
I do not think he is a rapist 'apologist' nor do i think he just said no problem lets sign him without considering the impact. In the end he made the wrong choice and its baffling how he thought it was the right one other than a huge miscalculation into where society was in putting this into the past.
Does not make him a bad guy to have made a mkstake here. He is probably more gutted than anyone at how this has panned out and the carnage it has caused to the club..fans..sponsors and all of football..etc..
I think he will go on his own terms as he is probably distraught at himself for making the wrong call in the first place.
But i will be returning on Saturday to support the 10 players on the park who have done nothing wrong here...

Surely if you are Goodwillie and had any remorse at all for what happened why would you want all this brought back up again and in the public eye again? Stay at Clyde, keep head down and keep rebuilding your life back while demonstrating remorse and regret. He could have rejected the move just the same but the offer should never have been on the table in first place. Shame on anyone at the club who sanctioned this.
Now the victim will be re living this over and over again and back in the news..
Our main sponsor gone
Fan base alienated
Community football programs in tatters
The feel good factor at our club now gone.
The hard work done by all to get us where we are last 4 to 5 years undone in an instant.

I just cancelled my monthly contribution to the player development fund and emailed the fund as to why. Im not contributing to signings like this. Will review next season. Hopefully others do likewise. I am truly astounded we have made this signing and taking on the fall out and baggage that will no doubt follow.

Perhaps not.. Just meant he stopped and stood still, turner then ran onto ball.. wasnt straight back at him..he was just more alert and was under no pressure...
Anyway, all good..we won..
