  1. I’m not convinced that McInnes or Robbo would see the Hearts job as worth the effort. They are both on decent salaries, relatively successful and secure, and valued by their clubs’ fans. Both might want their next jobs to be as head coach of their respective nations. I’m sure a lot of Hearts (Killie and Saints) fans would rather they opted for the Starlizard suggestion or an upcoming foreign coach.
  2. BBC Radio Scotland ‘sports’ reporter has been reporting all day that St Mirren are looking for a replacement assistant manager, despite the official club website reporting YESTERDAY that Brian Kerr has been appointed. Come on lads, keep up!
  3. Well, I’m certainly old enough to know that not every comment you post is true
  4. Never said it was true. Was really asking if you thought you’d still be in the market for another keeper. One that might keep you in the division?
  5. Hearing rumours that the Perth Saints are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Karius, ex-Liverpool ‘keeper. He hasn’t played much since his calamitous Champions League final against Real Madrid in 2018, but only released from Newcastle recently. Still only 31, but seems a bit similar to the two keepers you already have? Not commanding in his area and lacking in confidence? Any thoughts ?
  6. Just had a look at the match report on the club website. Some contrast with the reaction of the Hearts fans and our ballboy
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Remember him as a no-nonsense centre back with Well. Looks like he’s had an interesting career and already got his coaching badges. Boro connection also cropping up again…
  8. Noticed Diarmud was absent today, Kerr assisting Robbo and McGinn helping out pre-match. Will be interesting to see who gets Diarmud’s post if he moves on.
  9. Well I hope you enjoyed your pie anyway. Naismith, yer tea’s oot.
  10. Nothing personal, but I hope you have a shite day on Saturday.
  11. I’m assuming that this Starlizard ‘program’ is exclusive to the clubs that Bloom has invested in? Is this the most successful of similar schemes or quite unique? Asking for a friend.
  12. Sorry to hear this news. Seems like a good guy. Hope he makes a full recovery and gets back to McDiarmid soon to boost the troops.
  13. I’m aware that we will have private health insurance in place, question is, how did we end up in this situation?
  14. True, but Robbo saying it’s only a matter of time before he needs the operation suggests that earlier intervention might have avoided this scenario. Some players, such as Graeme Sharp, play with a hernia for months or years, but maybe they are not willing to operate unless/until it gets worse? NHS certainly won’t prioritise this op. Here’s hoping he’s not in too much discomfort and can concentrate on his football.
  15. I’m clinging on to the fact that they have only scored one goal in the league (so far ), and that was from the penalty spot. Time we had a break against Del boy’s team!
  16. Yes, we do know this Ric, I was just having a laugh as the BBC never stop mentioning it. Hopefully that changes on Saturday though.
  17. I don’t think the banners saying, “back the manager and SACK the board” would have tempted him to join!
  18. I thought that was a good wee story. Fair play to the Well fans and wee Berry.
  19. Other reports suggest Jim withdrew from talks and told them yesterday that he was staying with the Saints. Either way, I am glad that he is staying at the club. If we can keep the key folk here, and I’m obviously including Robbo and Keith, we have a chance of building something and progressing.
