  1. So, Steven Fletcher signed for…Wrexham. Well at least it’s different, and probably high profile enough for him. Might only be a supporting actor though.
  2. I knew that djchapsticks would respond to your point. How are your superstar strikers getting on?
  3. I think you have enough to worry about without losing sleep over the teams at the top end of the league.
  4. As we worry about unwanted interest in our manager, spare a thought for Fleetwood Town and Hearts. They hired the other two candidates who were being ‘recommended’ to us by their media pals. Almost looks like the board actually knew what they were doing when they paid a transfer fee for Robbo.
  5. The deal for Montgomery was flagged up several days ago, by Ian Gordon’s dog walker. See the (Latest) New Hibs manager thread. Glad he wasn’t barking up the wrong tree
  6. That Charlie Dunne has a lot to answer for these days…
  7. I saw him play for Hartley’s Falkirk side at Firhill a few years ago and he was a standout. Was a bit surprised and disappointed that he didn’t establish himself at Hearts. Did you guys rate him?
  8. Kettlewell has done a great job at Motherwell. Turned them around in no time at all, and could do the same at Hibs. Most importantly, he HATES losing.
  9. Jim McLean, Alex Ferguson and, in France, Guy Roux (over forty years at Auxerre), all turned down bigger clubs to build something of substance. Whilst I would love a Saints boss to stay and build something of note in Paisley, it seems to be a forlorn hope. I just don’t want to hear any manager departing after 1 or 2 years saying that they have taken the club as far as they could. That’s just nonsense. If they want more money, a higher profile and more pressure, that’s different…
  10. Very hard to say what players are really worth. A bit like houses, it’s down to what someone is willing to pay. Everton fielded a young striker last night that they signed for £12m - £13m. He made Mandron look like Ibrahimovic…
  11. The Dons think that Miovski is worth more than £4m, and raked in a fortune on several mediocre players, so it will be interesting to see what their ceiling is for Baccus.
  12. Great result for Ethan’s Lincoln lads last night. A victory away to Sheffield United and in the next round they have WHU at home. Exciting times for the young man and great to see his talent being realised.
  13. Maybe Robbo will stay with us because…he has put together an excellent squad of players who are playing a good brand of football; we love the guy; he walked from Well partly because he was fed up having to rebuild his squad; there is a good spirit about the squad and the club; Hibs are a shambles on and off the pitch, fans excepted; money isn’t always the goal for a manager; the compensation required would be too much; the transfer window is about to SLAM shut, leaving Hibs short of a decent squad, so the potential for an immediate revival is reduced and the risk of the sack in the near future is heightened; he would rather aim for the NI job as his next move?…and, as yet, he hasn’t been asked the question. In short, please look elsewhere!
  14. The video footage clearly shows him kicking the ball against his standing foot. That is classed as two touches and should have been an indirect free kick to the good guys. No debate needed.
  15. Yes, but I have seen him playing against us before, hence the STILL waiting comment.
  16. Well, I care. He’s overrated and we won’t be paying Him to sit in the stand.
  17. I’m still waiting to see why the Dons fans think Miovski is worth more than £4m. I don’t know if he’d even make our bench playing like that. Only had two touches in the whole game…
  18. I think you should keep LJ, at least until you exit the league cup…
  19. The Dundee and Well fans quite liked us, until we beat them. Soon, it might be a case of no-one likes us, we don’t care?
