  1. Looking forward to seeing young Miller on Saturday. Wonder if he’ll be our next signing from the ‘Well, as we are getting a bit low on numbers there.
  2. I am aware that Fish has only recently rejoined Hibs, but surprised that he has been so poor. Can hardly blame fitness issues as he was being used by Man Utd.
  3. Just wanted to say that I thought the team played well on Saturday. When we lost at Montrose, only a few players were decent. It’s clear that we need everyone to play well. If they do, we can beat any team in this league. If they don’t, we’ll struggle to best anyone. Interesting to compare Saturday’s team with the side that lost to Montrose. One (or two?) notable absences.
  4. I switched to St Mirren when Jack Ross was the manager. Fan-owned club, great wee stadium, brilliant fans, genuine team (and community) spirit, same colours, not the Old Firm or Thistle, etc. My family tree goes back from Bridgeton and Dalmarnock to Paisley, so there is that as well. I was born in Crownpoint Road but even the proposed venture would not tempt me back. As I said before, I didn’t leave Clyde, they left me! For a self-proclaimed community club to behave as they have over the last 6-7 years beggars belief. I feel for the fans who still go, but certainly don’t regret moving on (with a heavy heart)…
  5. Reading this thread, I seriously wonder why Clyde fans don’t just stop going. I could rhyme off a long list of good reasons, in particular the contempt that the board has had for the supporters for many years. For me, signing DG (the first time!) was the final straw, especially when no-one on the board could even be bothered to respond to my emailed complaint, despite the fact that I was a third generation season ticket holder of (too) many years. There is life beyond this self-inflicted torture. Stop going; go to see football elsewhere. You might even regain your love for the game and decide to invest your support, and your hard-earned cash, in a proper football club. You know it makes sense.
  6. Very sad to hear about Eddie Annand having such a difficult time with his health. Hope his luck turns soon. Clyde could certainly do with him these days.
  7. I have seen some of the away ‘ultras’, aged about 12 to 16 probably, desperately looking for some Saints fans to fight with. Hopefully the club are aware of which sets of fans are most likely to cause trouble and provide an appropriate level of proper security to minimise the potential trouble.
  8. Robbo made the point that he was signing young players with key attributes that he could improve as footballers by coaching them well. Toyosi is a prime example of that philosophy. Just wait until our new striker, Usain Bolt, gets some tips from Robbo.
  9. After a win like that, I’m looking at the upcoming fixtures a bit more optimistically. Yes, we can beat Dundee, then win the cup game, then beat the Dons…. I hope elvis is thinking along the same lines.
  10. I get the impression that you are not keeping up with this thread…
  11. Great win for the lads today. LJ must have real faith in Fish if he thinks he is good enough to carry Marshall, Stevenson, Hanlon and one other clown this season.
  12. Well played Killie. Very impressive performance tonight. Especially happy for the two ex-Saints who were outstanding, Kyle and the milky bar kid. I might regret this come the split/end of season, but happy with that result.
  13. I can’t imagine our keepers enjoy playing at home with the OF fans at their back. I expect that Dundee fans will obviously try to rattle our new number one. I’m sure he will cope though
  14. Carson has signed a three year deal. Not bad for a 35 year old, even if he is a keeper. Hope he doesn’t fall out with Tony Doc anytime soon.
  15. I think Halliday was heading to Ibrox to see his big team playing, before someone mentioned they were playing away…in Germany!
  16. Cup game v Well has been confirmed as Saturday 19th, 3pm kick off. Happy with that. No surprise that the OF have both been ‘selected’ for tv; Hibs and Hearts are both playing on Sunday, with 2pm starts.
  17. Elvis, now that Dunne is out for Saturday, do you still think Forfar will beat us?
