  1. Now that McCrorie has asked to move on from Sevco, after learning he still won’t be getting a game, maybe Trevor could take his place. I’m sure his family would be very loyal supporters, even if TC is just carrying the hampers and sitting in the stand.
  2. I would be delighted, and grateful, if you could sign Doidge (before we do). Seriously though, good luck in finding a replacement for the big man, he was a real find.
  3. According to Random, they are all out of tatties and red diesel. Seriously though, I agree with your post…
  4. You pays your money, etc. etc. According to some folk, we should have been in the market for two keepers after the last game of the season. I would be okay with TC paying a fine, such as buying everyone in Paisley a new Saints top.
  5. My thoughts too, but I have only seen him a few times.
  6. As far as I’m concerned, the jury is still out on Hemming. He had very little to do in the other friendlies, so it is too early to judge how he will be. Obvious concerns around his decision-making and whether he can come for crosses and really dominate his box. Carson would be preferable, but surely Boro have seen something in this young man. Morton’s keeper today, Ryan Mullen, was signed after he left Clyde, where he initially had mixed reviews. He did alright today, but maybe that will be his best ever game for Morton, who knows. At least today’s performance, and result, is a timely reminder that we still have work to do, on and off the pitch. Like others have pointed out, we need to make decisions on some of these strikers if they are not going to contribute much this season.
  7. Yeah, but If we are 16 points ahead it might be their last game of the season and Brendan will have to pull the shutters down and put out the lights!
  8. Celtic get to host the Champions on the last day of the season. I wonder if they will provide a guard of honour.
  9. Fixtures being released at 9am tomorrow. Given recent events, will we be away to Dundee, County or Killie for the first fixture?
  10. Robbo’s mate at Boro, the goalkeeping coach, has an impressive CV and has worked with some top keepers. I’m feeling more relaxed about Carson’s probable departure; he must have taken the view that Zach was worth a contract at Boro until 2026.
  11. Trevor missing out on a trip to Belfast. Oh, the irony. Don’t know what the truth is, but so far I’m with Robbo. I’m hoping that WAS Hladky I saw at the Antrim Road Tesco, but I would settle for JA.
  12. I remember writing to Craig to ask why Clyde had sold the one and only Gerry McCabe to Clydebank. He wrote a kind letter in response, explaining that it was an offer the club could not refuse. Years later, he signed his autobiography for me just before heading for the World Cup in France. I suggested that he had erred by not taking a Clyde player; Crawford Baptie was my light-hearted suggestion. He said he would give it some thought. I will always believe that Baptie would have defended ‘that’ corner better than those selected in his place! RIP Craig. Top manager and the nicest guy you could ever meet.
  13. Just seen Hladky coming out of the Tesco on Antrim Road. Just saying…
  14. On first read, I thought this read that Dundee United signed Frank Carson last season. Tbs, he would have been an improvement.
  15. I don’t believe Robbo would let Carson go and bring in Hemming as his replacement. Maybe Jamie Langfield could enlighten us. Jamie are you out there, we need some reassurance!
  16. Be sad to see Baccus go, but good luck to him. He has been a real asset to the club, on and off the pitch, in his short time in Paisley. Whilst we had problems dealing with the previous regime at Bolton, their fans had nothing to do with that. Good club, good fans, good stadium…we might even arrange a friendly down there. We move on though, next…
